Great Product and Support

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji's is so easy to use and has what I'd consider the best product support I've ever experienced. They're team is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions I may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the blueprint system needs to be revamped slightly. I don't know of a way currently but we would love for a way to push out one time all installs without having to add them to a specific blueprint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is making is much easier for us to deploy new devices quicker and also helps us maintain our devices by keeping them up-to-date and in compliance with our security team

Great MDM option

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Kandji for some time now, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this platform. The first thing that caught my attention was the ease of the migration tool for users and the ease of applying changes to out device fleet. It made the transition from our previous platform seamless, with minimal disruption to our workflow.

The Admin Panel is intuitive and straightforward, making it easy for even not-so-technical users to navigate and understand. The platform's simplicity belies its robust capabilities, allowing us to easily manage our device fleet and maintain compliance.

The technical support provided by Kandji is nothing short of excellent. Their team is knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to resolve any issues we encounter. Their fast and reliable support has saved us countless hours of frustration and downtime.

In summary, Kandji has been a game-changer for our organization. The platform's migration tool, intuitive UI, and excellent technical support have made it a pleasure to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was initially drawn to Kandji for their publicly available pricing, but to my disappointment, their pricing has since become opaque and "by offer."
I understand that this might be something regarding competition with alternative MDM solutions, however the "friendly and transparent approach" felt far way better than how it is right now.

Furthermore, while I appreciate the efforts of the Customer Success Manager, there have been times when their attentiveness has fallen short of my expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a former Windows System Administrator, I was initially intimidated by the prospect of managing Apple devices. However, Kandji made the transition a breeze with its intuitive interface and comprehensive management tools. The platform's Auto-Apps feature is especially impressive, allowing me to easily deploy and manage custom applications across all of our devices. Kandji has saved me countless hours of frustration and has made managing our device fleet a much simpler and more streamlined process. I highly recommend Kandji to anyone looking for an easy-to-use device management solution, regardless of their previous experience with managing Apple devices.

Kandji has been game changer when it comes to managing our devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has been so easy to pick up and deploy in our work environment. We have been able to set up everything quickly and found great value in using custom scripts to customise app deployment to meet our requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't encountered anything that has caused us to be at odds with Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest one is securing our devices. Kandji has been great at helping us audit and monitor that our security policies remain in place.

I love Kandji!

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Kandji is intuitive for the admin and smooth for the end-users. The enrollment process is fast and communicated well; the self-service app store is easy to set up with Apple Business Manager and easy for users to use and understand; and admin actions such as unlocking an account or running a script actually work and work fast. My workforce is primarily remote, so it's a game-changer and a relief to have a tool that works this well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Kandji. I wish it worked on other operating systems too! Sometimes I have to submit tickets to support when I run into a new question, but Kandji support is super fast and helpful, so I wouldn't call that a problem!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is solving the management of our Mac workforce. I needed a tool that could install applications, manage access, enforce security protocol, and help the computers and remote users stay functional in a remote environment.

Great MDM solution

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji was a major upgrade for us as a growing company to professionalize our Mobile Device Management. We came from Jamf Now and Kandji really was a big step forward. Kandji is very easy to use, set up, customize and deploy, even with little MDM experience. It has helped us a lot in managing our macOS and iOS environment. The support from the Kandji team is also great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a whole lot to dislike about Kandji, so far our experience was awesome. If I had to name anything, sometimes the device set-up (lift off) isn't quite as fast as I'd like it to be, especially if the OS needs updating. This is very minor, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to make our device management more professional. We're a growing company trying to reach 100 employees soon and we're in need of a good device management to make our environment more secure and easy to handle. Kandji helped us a lot in that regard.

easy to lern, easy to master - great admin environment

What do you like best about the product?
The interface of the platform is visually simple, but hides a great variety in the individual menu items. You have clear structures and a good overview of all services and devices that you manage. A hugh number of auto apps for your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
In case of missing functions you can or have to deal with the built-in distribution of scripts to be able to map the needed function.
We currently use this very rarely, because in the last weeks many new features have been firmly integrated into Kandji (thats what i like).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized management of devices is greatly facilitated by the benefits of Kandji. In combination with Apple Business Manager, all newly purchased devices automatically end up in my system. All that remains is to add the user and the appropriate blueprint and the device can be handed over to the user.

Before Kandji, every new employee had to set up their laptop on their own, which often took a lot of time, especially on the first day.
Thus, due to the affiliation to a certain department, all necessary software is installed automatically.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple device management platform that is easy to use, administrate and deploy. Has been great for us to help secure and manage our macOS enviroment. Seems to be quite rapid moving and new features are always coming along.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still lacking some more enterprise features / subsets e.g. SIEM intergration, however there is a feature request system so hopefully things like this get added in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our devices to be complaint with CIS benchmarks, keeping a inventory of our corporate devices, patch management, removal of administrative rights, encrpytion, and software deployment.

What do you like best about the product?
The communication from the account managers (shout out to Keylee & Fanni), always keeping us updated about ne wproducts, updates renewals. We recently renewed and the commuication from start to finish was A*. The online suport is also great, always avaible and extemely thorough and want to help!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly cant really fault Kandji after a year but if anything does come up I know I could contact our account manager and they will fix the issue if we were to have one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security management for all of our devices incase anyone loses, has their device stolen and general lifecycle of employees when we have new starters and people leaving the business.

Reasonable MDM for small organization or company

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is a good basic mobile device management system for a small information technology team and for small companies who do not have a lot of time to be trained to manage Jamf.

For the product, management, and budget, it makes sense to go with Kandji. It's easy to set up and relatively easy to maintain. This only works if you're using Apple devices and are a Mac shop.

It is also easy to set up and integrate with Apple Business Manager, which makes for an easy automated enrollment of new users as long as the product is purchased through the organization's Apple representatives. It is also easy to integrate usernames through Google with the Kandji product

They also have decent documentation on their product

Custom scripts can be added.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the downsides include the lack of capability with the spreadsheet columns and what items can be downloaded for information.

There is also an app store integration capability that I do not recommend, since any change to blueprints or migration from MDMs will cause all those apps to be removed from the device.

At the time I used the product, purchasing licenses could only be done in the 100s; but I think they've changed this now.

There is some manual things that need to be done, such as adding serial numbers and assigned users, but I don't have any suggestions on how to make this better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to enforce device encryption, passwords, and update certain applications or operating systems that need to be updated. It was helpful for keeping track of assets and inventory or locking down computers.

Makes MacOS and iOS management simple

  • February 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a former JAMF user, Kanji brings similar management capabilities for Apple products without the complexity. I found the auto-apps and prebuilt configuration templates a huge time saver. Furthermore, chat-based support is fantastic, with quick response and spot-on advice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a fairly new product, Kandji is still working on building and refining some functionalities. The biggest challenge is using and keeping track of "Blueprints", which contain all the apps and settings for a particular group of systems. When testing changes, one would need to copy an existing blueprint and make updates, rather than apply certain settings/apps to a smaller test group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small group of Apple users, and Kandji makes it easier to manage and secure these systems without needing dedicated specialized staff. The Passport add-on brings Windows (Azure) SSO to Macs as well, so no more dealing with multiple out-of-sync credentials.
