Kandji has enabled us to be agile as we have grown.
What do you like best about the product?
Very easily manage fleets of machines with blueprints and having the flexibility to make changes on the fly. Interface is straightforward and you can easily see the impact of changes and the details on individual settings
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of reporting and remote assistance to endpoint machines. Fixing these two items would make it the full experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a fleet of remote first workers and maintaining security and machine deployment in a remote encironment
Great Experience!
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and the UI is great. I love how basic they've made things
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji doesn't do a great job when it comes to off boarding. I ran into a lot of unforseen issues that I wasn't made aware of until the time came. For example, users who have "Activation Lock" turned on cannot be removed unless the user manually does it. This caused a massive headache when I received ex employee devices. The devices were locked and I could not access. A process needs to be put into place that notifies admins of this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing I can think of currently
Intuitive and customizable automation
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity and ease of use. Policies are fully customizable and fit our needs. Automation between Apple business manager is a game changer. App deployment and automated compliance is extremely important to us and Kandji makes it incredibly easy for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji is an exceptional MDM and I have no complaints!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji makes our device management significantly easier. The time we save on historically manual tasks, enhanced security, maintaining consistency across our devices are all invaluable benefits to us.
Outstanding Apple MDM at an excellent price
What do you like best about the product?
Design and configuration of blueprints, app pushes and updates is simple, quick and reliable. Changes are near instant, and new features are added often
What do you dislike about the product?
Our biggest compliant is the current lack of integration with Azure conditional access compliance policies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MacOs device management, Kandji has streamlined the process to manage our devices and removed many headaches and pain points for a heavily Microsoft company.
Fantastic MDM
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and Saas Native. You can tell that it was built from the ground up for Cloud/SaaS users and does not have any of the bloat =ware and just works. Also, their support team is second to none and their account team Kaylee is AMAZING!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, it is fantastic! I really have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device management, app deployment, off-boarding users. Security.
Simple, straightforward Apple device management
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji simplifies complex aspects of MDM solutions. While it still gives you the ability to go deep and cover what you need to do, it provides great abstractions out fo the box that make an IT admistrators job easy. They have great customer support both in the product and in the MacAdmins slack channel. Deployment is fairly simple, for new apps Apple business integration make it easy, and manual enrollment with a PIN code is simple enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing updates across devices is difficult. Auto-apps make it easier (although are still disruptive to end users), but for MacOS upgrades the Managed OS upgrade features frequently break and auto-quit all apps despite the update not fully loading, causing disruptions for users who lose all their work every hour or so.
Pricing is bundled in units of 50 and it can be frustrating managing that and going through renewals often as we grow.
Features like Passport are bundled in to every plan and while they might be valuable we've ran into issues with them that are blocking for broader deployment. Support was helpful but ultimately not able to resolve and with their current bundles it can feel frustrating being locked into pricing that used to be a la carte.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing MacOS devices for user workstations
Kandji has helped us with our Device Management Needs
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is really simple to use and has helped our organization standardize our device onboarding and configuration processes
What do you dislike about the product?
They could provide more in-depth documentation on how to appropiately handle alerts or issues on our devices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allows us to standardize our devices configuration, thus improving overall security. It also allows us to remotely manage devices in case of an emergency. Finally, it helps us keep a better control on which devices are assigned to our team members
Do NOT make the mistake of switching / using Kandji
What do you like best about the product?
Integrates with ABM (Apple Business Manager)
Passport system can make it so individuals sign on to the laptop with the Google credentials, cutting down on need to keep different passwords. (Notice I said "can" make it - and not that it does. There are SO many issues with this aspect of their product)

WARNING!!!
Switching from our current MDM to Kandji they said would be easy. "We'll set you right up with an integration specialist" and it'll be "so easy." BS. The change took months and was a disaster at best. SOOOO many things I had to figure out that they never mentioned, or I had to keep going back to them to get more information. "Oh, we forgot to mention that!" - said about a dozen times. Also, I had to go to our former MDM to ask them how to do it because "Kandji can only help on the Kandji side of things - not the other MDM side." Well yes, but then don't make it sound like you can and will do that part in the first place! BEYOND Frustrating.
And now that our employees have switched their laptops to Kandji, it has been problem after problem after problem. Employees getting locked out of their laptops (which was the whole reason we switched to Kandji - to prevent that from happening), employees ultimately having to factory reset their laptops to get back in, pop-ups that never go away, and continuous password sync issues.
Kandji is great at helping out when there's problems, but only via chat (which is highly inconvenient and takes FOREVER). But the main problem is the numerous problems keep coming back. The solution ends up being something different every single time, so it's hard for us to create a "How to Fix Kandji Problems" for our employees to refer to.
Also, don't listen to any promises they give you in order to get you to sign a contract. It's BS. They told us we could add licenses in smaller groups than the "25 device bucket" they said they require. However, when it actually came time to add licenses - they said it was in groups (or "buckets") of FIFTY!!! We are a small business and there is NO WAY we need to have and pay for 100 licenses when we only need 55 or even 60. They somewhat worked with us but they ultimately rescinded their promise and said "we're sorry for the miscommunication that may have happened." Now we will be switching back to our old MDM when the year contract is up, causing SO MUCH work for me and all the employees.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was SUPPOSED to solve the problem of employee login password issues - it mildly does but there are so many issues/glitches with it.
Seamless integration and solid UX
What do you like best about the product?
I think the UX is simple to manage, especially if you don't have a lot of operational resources. Also very easy to get set up with - took literally 10 minutes total to create a set of SOC-2 policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything to dislike yet - the tool was very easy to get set up with!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us enforce SOC-2 policies for audit compliance
Kandji provides everything we need for Apple device management, and more!
What do you like best about the product?
We, at Shorelight, have loved everything about our experience with Kandji!
As a young and fast-growing global company, Shorelight needed a solution that was easy to deploy and manage.
Kandji checked off all the boxes on our product evaluation sheet. From the basic needs like inventory management, to the specific and technical needs like macOS Kernal/System Extensions management, Kandji had it all.
Integration and deployment was seemless.
The end-user enrollment experience is also amazing! As the Technical Support Manager my focus is to make sure our non-tech colleagues have the best possible tech experience. Newly deployed machines require ZERO touch. Even the “manual” enrollment process for the existing devices on our environment is not really all that manual; send a link, enter a code, restart, and done!
The “backend” Kandji Console has also been super easy to learn and navigate for our internal tech support team.
Kandji’s support team has consistently provided us with answers and solutions to each and every question and problem we have had. They have always responded in a timely manner and given the exact details needed.
10/10 bees :-)
