A Smooth and Encouraging Journey
What do you like best about the product?
I've been a Kandji user for over few years now, and I must say, I'm genuinely impressed with its features and ease of use. We made the switch from JumpCloud, and Kandji has proven to be a far superior choice for our needs. The platform's intuitive design made policy implementation a breeze and ensured it was tailored to our organization's requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having the ability to execute terminal commands remotely on specific devices directly from the device section would enhance the platform. This would streamline device management and troubleshooting without the need for additional steps or equipment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is vital in helping our company maintain SOC2 compliance. It ensures that we have efficient systems for patching and the right policies for updating our apps and devices. This is instrumental in lowering risks and adhering to regulations by significantly enhancing our security measures and compliance methods.

Kandji = Easy Button for macOS
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to navigate the admin panel.
The quick reponse support via chat has been a godsent for me and my team, even for the smallest of questions or simply walkingthrough what we want to achieve.
The biggest thing for me was how easy it was to get our small "wild" macOS device integrated on day one!

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike, but I do find myself wanting more features for running reports and remote tools that don't interrupt the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a birds eye view of our macOS devices and being able to deploy patches, and software just as easily as for our Windows Users.
Very quick and easy to setup, and navigate!
What do you like best about the product?
Compared to other MDM solutions, Kandji is incredibly easy to configure, and I had two different blueprints built from scratch in less than 48 hours. The support and account management teams were fantastic, and our time spent with Kandji was wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all! It just unfortunately did not fit our business needs, so we ended up sticking with our prior solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of migration from other MDM solutions, among other things.

I wish it could integrate with Windows devices but it's not a deal breaker.

Kandji - Easy to use for both admins and users
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji was super easy to implement. They have baseline suggestions for your MDM profiles which will help you get started. The searching works very well. Easy to find devices with searching and/or filtering. SSO integration was easy and they have guides that tell you exactly what to do. There really is not much learning required to get the basic setup working. We have added custom printer drivers and that only took minutes to setup. Overall the product is great, the instructions are clear and concise. Honestly I have not thought about it until now, but we have not had to contact support for anything. The software is either easy enough to use or there is documentation that walks you through it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The users don't like the icon that lives in their task bar. Is it a butterfly? What is it? It is all a joke, but that is the most I have heard from end users. It just works. No true dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps secure our enterprise feelt of Mac and iOS devices. It is easy to use allowing me to focus on other aspects of my job.
A complicated environment made easy with Kandji
What do you like best about the product?
I came into a company that had already set up Kandji. I had never used it before despite having used their competitors. With 0 training I was able to navigate through the application easily. Their support is always there and also incredibly friendly. I have never been disappointed by limitations or lack of features. Truly a best-in-class Apple MDM.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I'm being honest I truly haven't run into any issues using Kandji or anything I would call out as something I dislike. Having used a large number of their competitors in the past I don't think they are lacking for anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company occupies a space that is under pretty heavy regulation. It provides all the features we need to make sure that our entire global workforce is operating safely and compliantly.
Best MDM I've Ever Used - Hands Down
What do you like best about the product?
I've never had any significant issues with Kandji - I've used a ton of different MDMs, and not only is it a breeze to set up and implement, but the support is timely and friendly, integrations are simple, and the feature sets are in line with new offerings as Apple builds out more functionality. Simple, streamlined, not overcomplicated, and overall, a solid choice with reasonable pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent pricing changes have made it more expensive, but depending on features, it's comparable to other MDMs while still being far more pleasant and simple to use and set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are required to have our assets tracked for audit and security purposes. Kandji integrates with Asset Panda and Drata, two of our other core systems, and makes that easy.
Managing Macs with ease
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is a great and simple tool to use. Has a lot of apps that are built in, making it quick and easy to deploy. If its not there, you can always leverage the app store to push them out. Last there is the option to add custom apps. Either way, it is simple, and it can all be done from one location without having to jump from page to page to upload, configure and make changes. If you are ever stuck support is beyond amazing and they are quick to assist.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one downside is reporting, it can be done, but it can use a cleaner easier to use interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us streamline our deployments. With the use of blueprints, it was easy to set up 3 different ones and properly configure devices with ease. We have a general deployment that is used for a zero touch setup, saving us hours of configurations and installations before getting the device to a user.

I'd like to see the feature set expanded to include asset management, or at least to include the ability to create custom columns to allow DIY asset management.

Hands free macOS management
What do you like best about the product?
The Kandji console is laid out in a simple, easy to use format that is ideal for an Apple novice. The integrations with Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, and Azure AD were straight forward to confgure. Their customer support has been very responsive to our questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of a remote shell where commands can be run on per device basis is lacking. This is most likely a limitation of Apple's MDM
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to implementing Kandji, we had no management solution for our Mac devices. We would verbally instruct users on the configuration of the device until we could get an application like Teams or Zoom installed where we could take remote control. At that point, we would then manually install applications. Now with Kandji, our devices our enrolled in Apple Business manager by our resellers and then assigned to Kandji. Kandji takes care of all of the enrollment, software installation, and configuration.
