Kandji - Aplle Device MGMT made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of Apple device management is what first drew my attention, the ability to drill down to individual settings and completeness is what keeps us using the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside would be the lack of PC managament, I know this is not the niche they are in but if they would create a similar system for PCs I would definitely check it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have numerous users at various locations and do not regularly see the device in person but once a year. This allows us to make sure teach computer is complete and secure.

Happy with Kandji
What do you like best about the product?
I'm not an IT professional, so I've made healthy use of Kandji's customer service. Everyone I have interacted with has been kind, patient, helpful, and clear in their instructions and explanations. On top of that, Kandji has been easy for me to use as the administratorl.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because I'm not versed in all things IT, some Kandji processes for deployment and settings are not as intuitive for me as they might be for others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji has allowed us to secure devices remotely which gives our consulting clients confidence in our security measures.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I feel about Kandji is the simplicity of the UI, as well as the ease of integration. From setup to deployment was a breeze and easy to understand each element and functionality. I also want to give very much deserved kudos to the Kandji support team. The customer support goes above and beyond to help when in need, and succeed in handling any and all issues if/when they come up. When Kandji announced their EDR, I was more than excited as having a built in EDR not only limits the amount of tech stacks we deploy, but works with the Apple hardware/software to make security effortless and understandable. I typically will log in and very systems/softwares daily, however, Kandji works so well i'd be surprised to find any noticeable issues on a consistent basis. Overall, I would 100% recommend Kandji for Apple MDM.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any real dislikes I can say about Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having Kandji as an MDM has alleviated the amount of tech stacks we need. We use Kandji built in EDR eliminating the need to have a seperate EDR solution that needs to manually be configured for deployment to all our Apple devices. This helps reduce the amount of time I spend building out security solutions and implementing/deploying them to systems. Also, having Kandji be able to have zero touch deployment to our users has been great as we can order our systems direct through Apple, and have the system pre-configure for our users at the time of configuration. This helps to ensure that our systems are safe and secure, the moment our users start using it.
Kandji- best way to manage.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to seamlessly manage our ipads with any updates and restrictions to provide safety for our youth. it was easy to implement into our system and support was available every step of the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have like additional training on the beginning when first learning all of Kandji's features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've experienced a number or firewall issues, privacy settings, and overall management of our studio ipads. With Kandji I was able to update all ipads with ease and set up protection while our youth surf the web. Its created a safe environment that I deeply value. It has also aided us in securing our tech and accounting for all ipads and macs through the device management setting.
Kandji is great! Very functional and easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Kandji is the customer support. They are very responsive on the chat and provide great solutions. Everyone on the team has been great to work with. The user interface is very clean and very simple and easy to use. It was simple to implement and get running right away. It integrates well with Apple and Google and made it easy to import users and devices. I use it on a weekly basis because it is so easy to setup new devices as well as make updates to existing ones. I highly recommend Kandji!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not too many things that I dislike about Kandji. In the beginning, it was missing a few features but that are constently expanding and adding features and now it does almost everything I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me tons of time when deploying new devices as well as keeping devices up to date with the latest software and OS updates. It also helps me keep consistent configurations amongst all devices.
Wonderful Apple MDM alternative to Jamf for SMB
What do you like best about the product?
Big Highlights: API is included in base pricing, Auto apps, OS version managment, Clean & modern mangment UI, solid customer support/.
The API being included in the base pricing is a major plus. It offers solid functinality(Pulling device details, install logs, etc). The API also has pretty good documentation https://api-docs.kandji.io .
The auto apps (A selection of Kandji maintained applications with their installer/updater) saved us many hours of manually uploading new packages for every update as well as reduced the delay to discovering a new version was released. The comunications to the end user also massivley reduced frustration compared to how Jamf notified users.
OS version mangment has pretty decent user facing implimentation. Makes everything clear and does force updates automaticly.
Managment console is clean and pretty quick to update. I do wish there was a dark mode.
Kandji's support is one of the largest differentiators vs most other apple MDM platforms. They offer 24/7 text chat support that is able to help with everything from Kandji UI questions to help writing/fixing scripts to deploy software not supported by AutoApps or when a script is required. When I was told of this part of their offering I did not expect the folks on the otherside to be as skilled and on top of things as they were!

Highlights: RBAC does not offer very finite control, Lacks mangment console/api logging, General log pushing to storage buckets IE S3.
RBAC offers only 4 tiers for controling managment UI access. Would be nice if there was options for custom roles with more finegrained access.
There is no current logging of mangment actions taking.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enforced our desired security posture as well as reduced mangment complexity. It also allowed for API access at a low price then Jamf.
Awesome MDM solution
What do you like best about the product?
As a digital agency we use Kandji to manage all our Mac devices, it works perfectly and gives us much control over our devices and security policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
A small improvement could be to lower the minimum amount of required licenses, because we're a small agency (just around 15 devices to manage)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy for us to enroll new Macs out of the box with installing all tools we like. With auto updates, it's really nice to control security flaws.

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, the use and process of how KAndji talks with apple buisness manager really helps out with our onboarding from being able to create specific blueprints for different roles really helps and they support all IOS and MACS and easily help with security profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly just kind of wish they had more customizable options to roles
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to manage and distrbute our computers and ipads with ease of us.
Excellent experience of an excellent product and support team.

The easy functionality of deployment across a wide range of remote devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost, as a while it is very expensive but as a small IT team supporting remote users it has a huge benefit.

Software deployment and defined profiles for custom/locked down configuration.
Great MDM solution if you are a Mac only shop
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and setup. Great pre-made templates for several security postures – which makes it easy to get up and running with compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you need to use MDM in devices other than Apple devices, you will need a complimentary solution (i.e. for Windows and/or Linux)
