Kandji is king!
What do you like best about the product?
We moved from Jamf to Kandji about 3 years ago. The transition was easy and managing our 900+ mac devices has never been easier. Kandji's blueprints make it really easy to set up base builds and manage software with our different account and creative teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have much negative feedback as they are constantly improving the platform and adding new features to make our Admin's job easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had tremendous growth over the past few years and have doubled the amount of devices we manage. Being able to use their tools to update and manage our macs has been instrumental.

Best Mac MDM solution
What do you like best about the product?
After transitioning from Fleetsmith, which unfortunately stalled in innovation after being acquired by Apple, we were on the hunt for a robust and forward-thinking MDM solution—and that’s when we found Kandji. From day one, the ease of implementation stood out; their onboarding team handheld us through every step, meticulously guiding us from testing to full production. Kandji's intuitive Auto Apps and drag-and-drop functionality have made device management and deployments a breeze. The seamless password integration for SSO not only enhances security but also simplifies workflows. Its ease of use for customizing and deploying apps and scripts has been a game-changer, giving our team the flexibility and control we needed. Beyond that, Kandji is a constantly evolving platform—regularly expanding its Auto Apps catalog, rolling out innovative features, and quickly implementing fixes to stay ahead of macOS changes. It has become an indispensable tool for our day-to-day Mac management. And to top it all off, their world-class support team consistently goes above and beyond, ensuring we feel supported every step of the way.

There used to be the option to add and remove features for pricing but it's all part of one price now which does simplify the quoting process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our Mac devices and utilizing a baseline security standard.
Kandji est le MDM le plus précieux que j'ai utilisé jusqu'à présent.
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is easy to use. The Self service feature is excellent and easy to manage. Deploying Kandji was easy during the trial period and I was able to replicate the most important parts of our JAMF instance in 4 days. The management of configuration profiles, scripts, and profile deployment is simple and efficient. The solution engineering team was a great support with the integration of certain scripts meeting specific needs. Compared to JAMF, Kandji allows for significantly more productivity with fewer administrators. We managed to migrate 1200 devices in 1 month with the migration agent. I use Kandji every day and with the integration to Okta, our inventory remains well organized and assigned to users. The technical support is efficient and quick if there is anything that blocks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to assign smart lists to library objects such as scripts, configurations, or applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji solves our device management problems in a small team working from home managing computers around the world.
Highly Recommended!
What do you like best about the product?
After migrating to Kandji from another reputable macOS MDM provider three years ago, we’re glad we made the switch. The implementation process was seamless. Kandji allows us to handle most of our device management policies seamlessly, ensuring compliance with CJIS, FedRAMP, and NIST standards. One of the standout features is its auto-app management capabilities—we no longer need to spend significant time uploading packages to keep apps updated. We have directory integrations with Entra ID which is a plus. Additionally, Kandji’s customer service has been exceptional. Every agent we've worked with has been highly knowledgeable, proactive, and quick to respond, making our experience consistently positive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I've experienced with Kandji is related to OS updates. We've encountered numerous instances where Kandji notifies users that an OS update is available, but the update fails to install, leaving the user stuck in a loop. This problem has occurred repeatedly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji enables us to efficiently deploy updates and policies. With a small IT team, we can leverage Kandji to implement security initiatives and, importantly, drop-ship laptops that are ready to be configured right out of the box. This boosts employee productivity by allowing them to start working immediately.
At a glance compliance status for all our Macs
What do you like best about the product?
The most important part of Kandji is the ability to set and enforce standards across all out owned and BYOD devices. Setting up maps and blueprints for our different users profiles is a snap. The ability to install new apps or reconfigure laptops remotely is vital as we are a 100% mobile workforce. Kandji allows me to lock and reconfigure devides remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of Kandji is that it is a Mac only solution. This isn't a huge deal for me because I'm a Mac only shop, but it would be inconvenient if I had a larger number of non-Mac devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance of devices as part of SOC II.
Admin Control privileges
What do you like best about the product?
The crucial and beneficial feature, in my opinion, is Application Control, including the ability to update, delete, and modify applications seamlessly.
A user-friendly GUI is equally vital, as it enhances the overall experience and simplifies device management tasks.
Additionally, features like Scripts and Profiles provide great utility by enabling automation and customization, making them invaluable for efficient device management.

What do you dislike about the product?
As an administrator for a fleet of Mac devices, you require the ability to grant and revoke admin privileges for users instantly and remotely. However, this functionality is currently unavailable.
Additionally, you need the capability to reset user passwords remotely without encountering restrictions.
Another challenge arises during the lock and unlock process.
Resetting or erasing the device after it has been locked is not viable because it requires logging in with the credentials of the last logged-in user, which can lead to complications.
Consider the scenario where an employee leaves the company while working remotely, and their Mac device is locked. Later, when the device is reassigned to a new employee, it remains locked. You are left with two problematic options:
1. Unlock the device using the last logged-in user's credentials, which are often inaccessible as the former employee’s password is unknown.
2. Enter Recovery Mode to unlock the device, requiring both the Activation Lock Bypass Code and the FileVault Recovery Key.
This process is cumbersome, especially for remote setups, and is impractical when onboarding a new employee.
Addressing these challenges is critical for streamlined device management and ensuring a smooth user experience for both administrators and employees.
