Best Database I have ever seen
What do you like best about the product?
More user friendly, easy compatibility with any kind of operating system , easy to connect with any kind of applications, more efficient and lite weight application for any stored procedures and select, update or delete queries. Our most of the applications are using db2 to write our application logs instead generating a log file. In this way we can maintain our file system with unwanted log files generated. Also we can retrieve years of application data without any issues. Nice product everyone should use in there applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to say anything wrong about this. Nice product from IBM for database and I recommend this to be used for all database related stuff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All application logs and every logging mechanism we are inserting inton DB, using it for future purpose.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I personal recommend to use this database in organizations.
Not a modern relational database - Lacks in features
What do you like best about the product?
DB2 is robust and offers the basic relational database functionalities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been using DB2 in mainframes for the past 8 years. Though DB2 is robust and offers the basic relational database functionalities, even the latest versions are not comparable to modern relational databases. It lacks in flexibility, OLAP functions etc. Would recommended this only for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using DB2 to store application data in our organization.

In the certification that made on the basis of data what more was mentioned the advantages of db2 with respect to the rest in the market and how easy and accessible it is

Once I had a problem in the migration of a database when I did some internships at the hotel marriott and it is because the db2 duplicated the data but it was repaired with the db2 admin system

What do you like best about the product?
DB2 database is best when used with IBM Blade Server and IBM AIX operating System. It is very compatible with other IBM Softwares like IBM Spectrum Protect.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM DB2 is way too costly and not so easy software to use for end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DB2 was deployed as production database in one organization I worked for. Its benefits is easy compatibility with IBM hardware and softwares. Also it is very scalable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think IBM DB2 should be way cheaper (Product/Service). Also it should be made more end user friendly to compete with other RDBMS.

Ease of use and setup. Connection to Cognos is simple.

DB2 is the primary dB from our iSeries and are looking at DashDB to move some SQL dB to that platform.

It is very easy to modify the edition and the creation of tables and databases when setting up a system. The process of migration between platforms is also simple and easy, so it deserves a 10.

I do not dislike anything as long as you do not delete the database trolling tool. Everything is fine as it makes it easier.

if once it was a system that took the inventory made in c and then we updated it object-oriented and it was easy to migrate from c to java. is a system of inventory of ford cars that arrive by lots
