Effortless Setup and Reliable Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
The Hycu team is responsive and professional making our engagement with them smooth and efficient. The setup process for HYCU was incredibly easy and quick, allowing us to have it up and running within minutes. I appreciate its seamless and low-touch backup system, which simplifies our data management. The recoverability feature is straightforward and intuitive, ensuring that restoring data or searching for specific records is hassle-free. HYCU plays a crucial role in maintaining our business continuity by enabling us to efficiently recover information from our M365 services, which are vital for our operations. It is cost-effective, easy to implement, and can be deployed sovereignly, which fits well with the environment and needs of our company and clients. I would score it a ten out of ten for recommending it to others.

It can be difficult to stand out from the crowd in this space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use HYCU for business continuity, backing up and recovering M365 services crucial to our business. It simplifies information recovery processes and eases the search for records, ensuring seamless continuity and protection of critical data.

What do you like best about the product?
Protects data in SaaS, Cloud Native on on prem environments, no drivers, no agents, no proxies.
What do you dislike about the product?
They beat the competition! Their price is very cheap.

ALl my workloads are protected no matter where the data is sitting.

A very strong immutable backup solution, there are few natively immutable solutions on the market, and this is without a doubt a strong contender. The rapid recovery times are a huge factor for this too.

Hycu fully support all objects or restore operations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a plethora of SaaS apps which other backup solutions do not support, Hycu was my only option. However, Hycu is not acting like a last resort but is infact acting like it should be peoples first choice. Providing second to none capabilities and a fantastic ease of use throughout and was plain and simple to set up.
Strong Nutanix Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using HYCU primarily for our Nutanix environment, and honestly, it’s one of the best backup and recovery tools I’ve worked with. What really stands out to me is how tightly integrated it is with Nutanix — it feels like it was built for it from the ground up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can feel a bit high compared to other backup tools, especially when you start protecting workloads outside Nutanix (like VMware or cloud).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using HYCU, managing backups across our Nutanix environment was more complicated than it needed to be. We were dealing with multiple tools, manual configurations, and a lack of clear visibility into what was actually protected. HYCU solved that by giving us a simple, unified backup and recovery solution that integrates directly with Nutanix.

HYCU integrates great with Nutanix and is very straightforward to use and set up.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find myself missing certain features that are present in some of HYCU's competitors.
One example is restoring Active Directory users directly from HYCU, which unfortunately is not possible.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a Nutanix cluster in our datacenter, hosting 200+ virtual machines for different customers in varying sizes.
HYCU gives us peace of mind that all workloads are properly protected and easily recoverable, without the need for constant manual checks or complex configurations. The tight integration with Nutanix makes backup and recovery feel like a natural part of the environment, rather than an extra task to manage. It just works, and that lets us focus on delivering value to our customers instead of worrying about backups.

What do you like best about the product?
HYCU is built for Nutanix backups, and the integration is perfect. It is easy to use, and support is top notch.

I don't see any downside to HYCU. I use HYCU daily and have not seen any issues.

I have used other backup systems and HYCU is the only one that integrates flawlessly with Nutanix.
A refreshingly easy backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
Hycu is easy to use, easy to maintain as a product. The interface is simple and with little knowledge you can set it up with help from a great partner. Their support also makes problem solving easy and their skilful knowledge makes problem disappear like snow for the sun. The number of connected platforms also grows with the time, making it a go to central SaaS backup solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The logs showing the errors sometimes require a more in-depth knowledge to resolve, making it so sometimes one needs to contact Hycu for something that in hindsight was very simple if the error was a little clearer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hycu allows us to make on-demand as well as frequent back-ups of our data that the SaaS platform itself does not allow. It also allows us to use our own storage making it so we are in control of the data and not a middle person.

What do you like best about the product?
HYCU is very straightforward to deploy and configure. I like that it supports both on-premises workloads and SaaS applications in one platform. The interface is simple to navigate, scheduling backups is quick, and restores are reliable. Customer support is also fast and helpful whenever I need assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting could be more detailed when handling many backups at once. Sometimes error messages are not very clear, so it takes extra time to troubleshoot. Costs can also increase depending on the amount of data or advanced features you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HYCU helps us centralize SaaS data protection in a single platform. It ensures our SaaS applications are backed up regularly and can be restored quickly when needed. This improves compliance, reduces downtime, and saves time compared to managing multiple backup tools. I feel confident that the product is evolving in the right direction, as it continues to add integrations and simplify operations.

Integrates very nicely with Nutanix.
It only takes an hour to deploy and have backups working. It gives a clear snapshot of what's working and what's not.

What do you dislike about the product?
The update process can be a little clunky in Nutanix.
I wish it supported immutable backups and the ability to turn on a backup, take a screenshot, and include that in an email as part of a backup validation check.

We needed a Nutanix/AHV compatible product back when Nutanix was new and Veem didn't have very good support.
