I have used Platform.sh for Drupal projects
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to create a project and customize some build commands. Have a great scalability for projects and a good support (Thanks Felipe Fidelix).
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s a little bit expensive for Brazil’s small projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to have a host and a build platform in the same place.

There's not much to dislike. I'm very satisfied.

How easy to use it is. Everything on platform makes sense, the UI on their dashboard is clean and the cli is very well done.

There isn't anything I dislike on platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting. We need CI and multiple environments. Sometimes we need environments to test a single branch and platform makes it easy to create new. Their support is done via slack which makes everything better too. Cheers to Felipe!

Do the trial if you are in doubt, it is great.

What do you like best about the product?
Platform.sh is a platform as a service which allows us to consistently build and iterate on. By standardising on Platform.sh we are able to context-switch between projects much more easily than before. Deployments are now an absolute breeze and we've been able to build internal business infrastructure on top of Platform.sh workflows which allow us to innovate quickly for our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform.sh doesn't have the most consistent uptime unless you use the enterprise plan which can cause issues. Recently, the uptime has been much more stable and consistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to innovate much more quickly and roll out changes and fixes to websites for our clients. The process is much quicker than previously using other hosting services. Platform.sh brings a whole platform and wraparound service regarding deployments.

What do you like best about the product?
The product documentation is full of exemples and make it easy for any developers to deploy their project. You can find templates for the most used php technologies like drupal , wordpress, symfony ...
Cuztomization is done really fast with the yaml configuration files and really close to docker definition. Once it is donen you push it on the git repository and the project is deployed really fast (within 10 minutes).
When the website is live you can easily upgrade your resource plan, if you are making a major commercial communication (exemple : spot on tv) , you can anticipate you need in resource and increase you processor et memory resources by chosing another plan.

It is possible to build only one banch at the same time, so if your teams has many developers and each of them wants to deploy, you will have to wait for the process before yours in the queue to finish.
If you want to monitor your plan in real time you need an external tool (like new relic). If not you will be able to ask for the datas and they will make you an extract.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first major problem solved is the performance, changing a plan when you need is really fast and you don't need to change your project code.
The second problem is the deployment automation, it is done by platform instead of the technical / devop expert. Your team is only responsible of the project source code and platform.sh in responsible of deploying it and hosting it.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily adapt and update the hosting environment depending on the needs of our clients. Supporting over 80 sites on the service - some that we've built and some that we just support means that there are a wide range of ways that Drupal has been implemented. having the flexibility to have different flavours of PHP, MariaDB, Solr and Drupal core within the same overall hosting package is invaluable.

The inability to stop a build if it becomes blocked is an issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We support over 80 Drupal sites across three different versions. Platform allowed us to standardise our hosting in one place - with smaller clients and enterprise clients alike all using the same build and deployment processes. The secure nature of the platform and the choice of hosting locations makes Platform a logical fit for an agency like ours selling into the UK and EU markets.

It is very different to traditional hosting - but it is worth sticking at it as the benefits of the build and deployment process are well worth it..

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting sites that have multiple service requirements used to take lots of effort in terms of routing, caching, security, versioning. Now I can easily create my stack all with simple config. Most of the config already exists in terms of templates. However, rather than just relying on boilerplate I can tweak things to my hearts content.
Case in point. SSL certificates used to take an age to generate, configure etc... these are out of the box now.
Having multiple environments is usually difficult to set up however, now I can have unlimited environments for specific features.

Automation on deployments is out of the box.
I dislike that I don't have a dashboard of memory usage etc... as I'd like to see how my site is performing but features like this are nice to haves compared to the core product.
The support I get on slack is non-patronising. I've never been told to turn it on and off again. They have a skilled set of support staff that understand developer concerns.

Try out migrating a site to it. Took me 3hours on P.sh. Took me a week on other stacks once upon a time.
Try adding a service like redis or Elasticsearch. Painless.

It's fast, Drupal runs smooth.
It's easy to start developing and the most impressive feature in my opinion is how deployments work. A simple commit/push to Platform does all the things necessary to have everything deployed and working.

It's a bit tricky to get the point about local development, but Platform is well documented and it's easy to find the information you need. Now that they have Lando integrated in the local development process this is not a problem anymore.
