It's reliable, scalable with a great tools, such as hooks for getting CI/CD running very quickly.
What do you like best about the product?
I love it's amazing flexibility and how easy to setup a hosting environment. With the out of the box hooks, it makes it super easy to setup CI/CD implementation with no additional costs. It also provides developers great flexibility and tools for different projects and requirements.
The ability to create multi testing environments with any branch on top of being able to run our default Dev/Stage/Prod git workflow environments is amazing. Allowing us to rapidly test and share with clients or among our teams.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the php extensions are a bit old, blocking us from using some of the latest tools such as WebP imagery via ImageMagic extension. Also guaranteed SLA's are offered only on the highest subscription tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Definitely rapid deployment with multiple testing environments. CI/CD with different workflows depending on our environment is a must for our day to day business and Platform.sh definitely meets those criteria.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great cloud hosting provider. I recommend it 100%.

What do you like best about the product?
Two things I liked most: the CLI tool and how easy it is to make backups and restore them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it will be great to have a "pay-by-usage" plans, for cases where the client has a tiny budget to spend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Here at MMDA, we really feel that platform.sh make it easy for us to integrate and deploy our Drupal Applications.

i'd like to project's idea, infrastructure plus git based is awsone.

- customer suport
- daily backups aren't automatic
- backup retention for a few days
- control panel has errors and generally does not represent reality

Easy to set up environment. The yaml file makes it a lot easier.

No one. I like all features, configs, integrations...

Agility, stability, integration.
No sysop needed anymore! Good service, excellent support. Developer friendly.

Excellent support. Just concentrate on developing and less on sysop and server tasks. Well documented.

Could have better logging features if deployment fails.

We really like the ability to rapidly build custom applications and deploy to hosting centers around the world.

The library of templates is fantastic, but having the ability to create a manage custom templates would be really cool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Platform.sh is great for building bespoke applications for clients with specific needs. Additionally though the CLI tools, we are able to automate much of the developer onboarding for projects. It really expedites the whole process.

Platform.sh is a great choice for building a custom application with best-in-industry managed support. The CI/CD tools are fantastic and can be built to accommodate nearly any workflow.
A flexible and powerful web hosting platform
What do you like best about the product?
Among the various web hosting services, platform.sh is among the most powerful and flexible. Where others have limitations, platform.sh is likely able to accommodate your needs. All the while you still don't manage a complete server, and have none of the associated headaches.
What do you dislike about the product?
With great power and flexibility comes a certain amount of complexity, You are not going to just pay for your subscription and then flip a switch. However, it isn't much harder than that, and definitely far less complex than running and managing a full virtual machine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We became a platofrom.sh partner so that our clients could easily and cost effectively host an API developer portal.
A PaaS focused on environments and simple developer setups
What do you like best about the product?
Whether you're building a small commerce application with a relational database or you're setting up a microservice based architecture, platform.sh is here to deploy that. And the best thing is: the developer experience is quite amazing in that you can create a full "copy" of the production environment for your branch within minutes and start hacking on it - no need to setup a "cluster" or deal with complex container building pipelines. Just clone, branch, push and your development environment is up and running for QA to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform.sh comes with the cost of a slight "vendor lock in" since if you want to make most out of it, you should rely on their client libraries to connect to your environment's services. Think, they're on it (and they also expose environment variables for your 12-factor apps) but when I remember right, it wasn't too simple to get this right (state of late 2019)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spinning up & creating developer branch environments is usually hard; with platform.sh the onboarding of new coders and making them "productive" usually is a matter of minutes instead of days.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Platform.sh definitely shines when you need your app up and running and don't want to wrap your head around K8S, Terraform, Gitlab CI and other cluster things. So if you're already on the path of going fullstack DevOps it won't solve issues for you. Instead it will get you started *really* quickly, maybe even faster than when relying on more componentized PaaS' like Heroku or Beanstalk...

The price for Enterprise plan seems a little high. It's complicated to jump into this plan without any real guarantee of ROI

Acceleration of Magento e-shops deployment. We hope to change from a Ops landscape to a No-ops landscape.
