Intimidating But Feature Rich
What do you like best about the product?
I will start by saying Zabbix was not easy to implement and not easy to integrate, even for our advanced systems administration team.
I will say that once we got it up and running, we don't know how we lived without it and it is super easy to use.
We use it every single day to track packet loss, agent uptime, internet status, hard drive space, printer metrics, basically anything we can think of, Zabbix has a way for us to track it either directly with a Zabbix agent or via some sort of API.
There is no customer support, it's all on you!

What do you dislike about the product?
Now that we're through the setup and have everything up and running, nothing at all! It's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix gives us visibility in to the status of all of our infrastructure. Can't overstate the importance.
I use and manage Zabbix
What do you like best about the product?
Monitoring of services in real-time, giving you the ability to know the status of incidents and prevent future problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Zabbix reports still have a lot to improve. In the latest version, there have been improvements, but many things still need to be developed with the API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help in monitoring the infrastructure as a whole, availability of portals, network assets, database, etc.

Infrastructure Monitoring Tool - One stop solution
What do you like best about the product?
It is an open source, easy to use and implement, heterogeneous environment-friendly, as I don't need to use variety of modules individually for storage, servers, network, etc.
It compiles all in one console and provides a single platform for usage, which makes it easier for a large scale organization to have everything on a single screen.
It helps us to identify root cause of any problem easily and has seamless integration with multiple tools like Kaseya, ManageEngine Service desk, ServiceNow, Slack, SMS Gateway, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
The current version available is 7.2, and in that we don't have NetFlow, S-Flow and automated topology. The roadmap is however announced, then maybe these issues will be enhanced further and my dislike will be resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives me a heterogeneous environment and a single screen dashboard is available to resolve my issues at one place.
The features of having multiple severity (S1 to S6) helps me top identify the level of issues, and it provides a reminder for unresolved problems regularly at designated intervals.
User-level segregation and user-level accessibility of devices are isolated and can be configured at granular level.
Multiple customizations are available for creating tailor-made dashboards, maps, reports, both unique and generic in nature.

Excellent system for link monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is the ease of understanding the monitoring, that is, the graphs are displayed in real-time and it is easy to understand how many resources a site, a link, etc., is consuming. It doesn't have strange data; on the contrary, it is quite intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many times the search for elements can become somewhat tedious, and some false positives are also reported regarding link failures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having various sites makes it easier to change them one by one through tabs and in this way monitor more quickly and detect possible production outages.
Zabbix is a monitoring tool, "a Swiss army knife."
What do you like best about the product?
I can say that with Zabbix we can monitor practically everything that is on the computer network such as UPS, servers, temperature control, ports, applications, services, data centers, websites, etc. In other words, it monitors/manages everything that has Ethernet. Its flexibility to adapt to your business is incredible! With a bit of expertise, another application called Grafana can be configured to further enhance Zabbix, bringing innovative and customized dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the size of the company and the assets monitored, it will need to have considerable resources to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The greatest benefit of Zabbix is the monitoring and management of the company's assets/software that we have. Being able to prevent incidents by receiving alerts via Telegram/Sclak/email/dashboard greatly facilitates our NOC (Centralized Operations Center). In other words, with Zabbix, we significantly reduce the number of events/incidents that occurred in our business.
Reliable and Comprehensive Monitoring Solution for Over a Decade
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix offers an extensive and flexible monitoring solution that has met our needs for over 13 years. Its open-source nature allows for full customization, and the platform supports a wide range of devices and protocols, making it ideal for monitoring complex IT environments. The scalability of Zabbix is impressive, as it can handle small setups to enterprise-level deployments with ease. Additionally, the active community and continuous development ensure that Zabbix stays up-to-date with new features and improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Zabbix is highly configurable, the initial setup can be quite complex and may require a steep learning curve for new users. The user interface, while functional, could benefit from a more modern and intuitive design to improve usability. Additionally, more comprehensive documentation or training resources would help accelerate onboarding for new team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix helps us monitor and manage our IT infrastructure effectively by providing real-time visibility into the health and performance of our network, servers, applications, and other critical components. It alerts us immediately to any potential issues or anomalies, allowing for rapid response and minimizing downtime. This has significantly improved our operational efficiency, reduced the risk of outages, and enabled proactive maintenance. Additionally, Zabbix's scalability and flexibility mean that we can continuously expand and adapt our monitoring as our organization grows, ensuring consistent performance monitoring across all systems.
Zabbix give rest
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is extremely useful since it provides complete monitoring throughout our whole IT infrastructure, giving us real-time access into the health and performance of our systems. Its capacity to monitor anything from servers and network devices to cloud services means that no component of our ecosystem is left uncontrolled. One of the most significant advantages is its flexibility; Zabbix supports a variety of data sources and protocols, allowing us to tailor monitoring to our individual requirements. Another significant advantage is the alerting system, which allows us to handle issues before they affect our operations, decreasing downtime and increasing reliability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zabbix is open-source and free, however the lack of official support might be a disadvantage when dealing with complex issues, as it is highly reliant on community support, which can be hit or miss. These problems can hinder adoption and make it more difficult to fully utilise the platform's advantages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix solves a number of crucial issues for us by delivering reliable, centralised monitoring of our whole IT infrastructure. It allows us to identify and handle issues before they escalate, reducing downtime and ensuring that our services are reliable and available to clients. By monitoring performance indicators across servers, apps, and network devices, Zabbix provides real-time visibility into possible bottlenecks, allowing us to optimise resource utilisation and increase overall system efficiency.
Zabbix monitoring review
What do you like best about the product?
The single best thing about zabbix is that it's completely free but without lacking anything compared to commercial monitoring tools. It covers pretty much everything from windows servers, esxi servers, HTTP endpoints till our UPS. It produces meaningful graphs and has triggers for each alert. Also it integrates with a lot of tools like Pagerduty to receive alerts. Overall its a complete enterprize level monitoring solution for the infrastructure
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say zabbix has 2 downsides. The first is that you need to configure everything and it can be intimidating if you are not experienced user and the second is the web scenarios for http endpoint monitoring isnt neither great nor straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix solves our biggest problem. We didnt have any monitoring at all. Now with zabbix i have everything monitored and with the powerful triggers i get alerts the second it happens. Mainly i use it for our datacenter monitoring and by that i mean 300 VMs , server hardware health status via snmp (dell servers), cisco routers via snmp.as.well and our main UPS..also we have 10 branches and i monitor our local NAS devices we have at each branch (health and metric like storage) as well as the networking devices. This way i have a very clean picture of the total network and datacenter we have in the company. From capacities, performance, and reliability
