Enables us to prioritize and effectively address critical security issues

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

As an engineer, I'm using the solution for managing infrastructure and security posture management.

It's primarily for cloud infrastructure, data center infrastructure, and security posture management, but it also provides other capabilities such as infrastructure-as-code scanning and detects hardcoded secrets in the source code, including for EKS, DevOps tools, etc.

How has it helped my organization?

Evidence-based reporting helps us to prioritize and solve critical security issues. The new visualization feature demonstrates how an attacker can enter the system, highlighting the potential path that can be exploited and outlining all the steps the attacker could take. With that visibility, we can ensure the perimeter is strong and attackers cannot enter, thus reducing the risk. It has helped us prioritize issues.

The visibility into how an attack could happen is valuable. For example, it highlights the system vulnerability and outlines where an attack could propagate. The visualization helps me to prioritize remediation, and if I don't know where to start, I can check to see the score that enables me to prioritize issues.

I am using infrastructure-as-code scanning, and it's one of the useful features. In pre-production, it identifies embedded secrets and misconfigurations, including issues with Kubernetes or some privileged containers. This feature allows us to pass the audit and secure IaC code so that it isn't easily exploitable by attackers. We can more proactively work to identify and resolve vulnerabilities by using the dashboard and the alerting system that SentinelOne provides.

It helps us with audits and compliance. We can show the compliance in percentage. We can confidently say that our company or infrastructure is very secure. It has improved our security posture by 30% to 35%.

It has reduced our false positives by 30%.

It has helped teams collaborate better. The security team manages SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security, and when it flags vulnerabilities, they are forwarded to DevOps for remediation. Previously, we needed to identify and report the issues, but there would be lapses in communication. Now, there is a centralized dashboard that anyone can look at and see the open issues and work on them.

What is most valuable?

I go to the dashboard on a daily basis. The UI and the widgets are what I personally appreciate. I find it easy to use. If anyone is a beginner or new to this industry, they'll be able to understand how to use it for their use cases.

What needs improvement?

There is scope for more application security posture management features. Additionally, the runtime protection needs attention.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for around 1.2 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable. I would rate it a nine out of ten for stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is more than Prisma Cloud, and I would rate its scalability a nine out of ten.

We have 17 users working with this solution.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate their technical support a nine out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prisma Cloud is more expensive. The stability and scalability of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security are better than Prisma Cloud.

How was the initial setup?

It is deployed on the cloud and also in a data center. My cloud is on Azure, and the data center is running in a different location. It's easy to deploy SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security; it took me around two to three days to deploy it, and some members of the customer support service helped us to deploy this on both locations.

It does require maintenance, but it's not done by my team. There's a different team called InfoSec that handles this maintenance part.

What was our ROI?

It helped us to secure our infrastructure and applications on the cloud side.

We get notified of any issues immediately, reducing our mean time to detect and remediate by 30%. It saves money and time.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't handle the price part, but it isn't more expensive than Palo Alto Prisma Cloud. It's not cheap, but it is worth the price.

What other advice do I have?

I would definitely recommend this product to other members, vendors, or users, as it covers security posture management, auditing, documentation, and compliance management.

I would rate SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security a nine out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

The primary use of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security involves cloud security, posture management, networking, and EKS. I am trying to solve Security Posture Management with this solution.

What is most valuable?

The best features are audit and compliance monitoring, along with vulnerability assessment, security, and the UI.

I have improved my ability to protect workloads such as containers, serverless, and Kubernetes through serverless functions.

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security has helped protect the serverless environment more effectively. There was an incident where my developer mistakenly made my repository public, and SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security gave me an alert within 25-30 seconds, which helped me address the issue in a minimum time period.

My mean time to detect has been reduced by 30%.

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security's automated malware scanning for S3 buckets has reduced my security response time by 10 to 20%.

The solution has had a positive effect on the collaboration between cloud security application developers and AppSec teams. When EKS application teams use the infrastructure, the cloud team can identify vulnerable points and collaborate through Jira, which they follow up on.

The solution saves 40% of my time.

What needs improvement?

The improvements I have seen are mainly in the dashboard and everything related to EKS. From the Kubernetes perspective, the alerts are more detailed. I would add real-time protection as a feature.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for almost one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of the solution as nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability as nine out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the technical support as nine out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use any other product before using SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security.

What about the implementation team?

The deployment process was carried out by our existing team and customer support teams, with two members from the customer support team helping us deploy the solution on the cloud.

What other advice do I have?

The solution is easy to use.

The training, onboarding, and learning curve are smooth. When I joined my organization, SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security played a very important role because there was no security-related software deployed on our infrastructures.

My environment consists of 13 people working with SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security.

The solution requires maintenance, but it does not fall under my team's responsibilities.

I do not currently use Artificial Intelligence with SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security.

I would recommend SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security to other users for security and management purposes, as it would help organizations in various ways.

Overall, I would rate the solution as nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

Helps meet compliance and identifies issues in minutes

  • April 08, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

In our organization, we use SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security for infrastructure security purposes. It secures our infrastructure, data, and everything. That's the primary use case for this.

How has it helped my organization?

It is very useful and easy to use for beginners as well as pros. From a beginner's perspective, its dashboard is very convenient, and the UI/UX is very easy to understand.

Regarding proof of exploitability in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security, when a developer makes a repository public, it identifies issues in minutes. If the repository has some hardcoded secrets, they would cause problems for us because anybody on the internet could access it. Those keys could allow the exploitation of the systems. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security catches the issues quickly. The same applies to a public bucket. One of our DevOps engineers made it public which had many files in it. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security was on top of it. The solution has an automated workflow that blocks such misconfigurations.

We primarily use infrastructure as code scanning for cloud security posture management, but the solution also provides capabilities for identifying hardcoded secrets in the source code. It covers Kubernetes security with around 20 to 35 members from security and DevOps being users of this solution.

It has reduced our mean time to detect by 30% to 40%. Our mean time to remediate is also reduced by 20% to 30%.

What is most valuable?

The compliance monitoring feature of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security gives us a report with a compliance score to ensure we meet certain regulatory standards. We can show our compliance as a percentage, and we do this to demonstrate that we are serious about security and for audit purposes. That is the best feature I appreciate.

What needs improvement?

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is an excellent CSPM tool, but its CWPP features need improvement, and there is scope for more application security posture management features. There aren't many ASPM solutions on the market, and the existing ones are costly. I would like to see SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security develop into a single pane of glass for ASPM and CSPM, and the feature I'd like to see is runtime protection.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using it for around two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have experienced some dashboard lagging issues.

How are customer service and support?

I contacted their technical support when we faced an issue on the dashboard. Sometimes it gets laggy, and we conversed with the customer support team. They informed us it was some network issue and guided us very informatively and usefully. I would rate the support a nine out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I personally did not use any alternative to SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security.

How was the initial setup?

The initial installation is easy. It takes around two to three days to fully deploy it.

What about the implementation team?

We had seven to eight people.

It requires maintenance after deployment, but that is not handled by me. There is a separate team, the InfoSec team, which manages the maintenance.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security a nine out of ten.

Enhancing workflow with automation and comprehensive security monitoring

  • April 01, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

As an API developer, my use case is to use SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security for security purposes. It alerts me if there are vulnerabilities, attacks, or security breaches.

We primarily use SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security for cloud security posture management. This solution also provides other capabilities such as infrastructure as code scanning, identifying hardcoded secrets in the source code, and covering Kubernetes security, utilized by about 25 members of the security and DevOps team.

How has it helped my organization?

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is easy to use, and even beginner-level people can use it conveniently without any difficulty. The dashboard is innovative and sorted, providing numerous metrics for reporting and everything.

It has reduced my mean time to detect by 20%. My mean time to remediate has also reduced by 20%.

It helps save us time by automating manual activities. We have automated everything in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security itself and integrated APIs, reducing our time by 30% to 40%.

We have seen a return on investment of saving about 20% to 25% in manpower.

What is most valuable?

The best features we value in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security include compliance monitoring features, as we are a frequently audited company. They provide reports with compliance scores, showing how well we meet certain regulatory standards, such as HIPAA, and we can show our compliance as a percentage.

It's also a way to show that we are serious about security. In addition to reporting, I appreciate the manual monitoring, dashboard, and UI—all excellent features.

It's easy to use. Beginner-level people can use it very conveniently.

For evidence-based reporting, if there is something new to the infrastructure, SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security itself provides documentation to address any errors causing issues with the system. It provides a wide amount of metrics.

Proof of exploitability is important since we have integrated all the SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security CWPP and CSPM applications within a containerization feature, scanning into Jira. It acts more as a vulnerability management tool for us, identifying all issues and following them to Jira, where we have several dashboards providing an overview of open security issues.

We primarily use features for cloud security posture management. The solution also provides other capabilities like infrastructure as code scanning. It identifies hard coded secrets and the source code and covers Kubernetes security. About 25 members of the security and DevOps team use the solution.

It's positively affected our risk posture. It clarifies and helps us organize so we are more aligned across security. We get good notifications.

It saves us time based on savings on manual activities. We've automated everything and integrated APIs. It's reduced time needed to manage by 30%% to 40%.

What needs improvement?

Since I have been using it, I have seen many improvements. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is an excellent CSSPM tool, but the CSC CWPP features need improvement.

There is scope for more application security posture management features and other than that, there are not many ASPM solutions on the market, and existing ones are more costly.

I would prefer to see SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security develop into a single pane of glass for ASPM and CSPM, and I would also appreciate runtime protection highlighted immediately if I'm changing anything in my environment.

The dashboard needs more widgets added so that customers or users can see everything on the dashboard itself without needing to go too deep.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for around two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

For stability, it rates nine out of ten. It's a highly stable product, and we haven't had any issues with reliability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

For scalability, I rate it nine out of ten. Our company is growing, and we don't see any performance slowdown from onboarding multiple projects, with no changes to the functionality of visibility it provides.

We have 60 to 70 users on the product currently.

How are customer service and support?

I rate SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security support nine out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I personally did not use any different product, however, there was something before - maybe Prisma. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is not very expensive compared to Prisma. It isn't very cheap either. However, its features make sense to us as a company, and it's fairly priced.

How was the initial setup?

The deployment is easy. It took one and a half days to implement.

From my application point of view, the integration between SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security and applications has been more satisfactory and clear, providing a good overall experience. The PingSafe team handles the maintenance part, which occurs on a quarterly basis.

We have the solution across multiple departments.

What about the implementation team?

Three people were involved in the deployment.

What was our ROI?

We have seen a return on investment of saving about 20% to 25% in terms of costs related to manpower.

What other advice do I have?

We don't use the agentless vulnerability scanning. We don't use the Offensive Security Engine.

We are trying to solve security problems since we are using IBM products, which did not give any security alerts. That's why we are using SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. Before SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security was deployed, nothing was monitored along this risk posture. After deployment, it has been more clarified and organized, with everything aligned on a security posture. We also use on the cloud for overall protection and notifications of everything happening in our infrastructure.

I would recommend SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security based on a security point of view. Considering the scalability, given the company's growth, it is needed.

I rate this solution nine out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

IBM

What is our primary use case?

I am working as an application developer, and SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security plays a role in the cloud infrastructure where my application is deployed. It provides me with alerts and ensures that I follow best practices in everything.

How has it helped my organization?

It gives us alerts and resolutions for anything that is missing or any vulnerabilities in our infrastructure in terms of security. If we have a firewall that is missing some rules that may expose us to attacks, it lets us know. It guides us through alerts, documentation, and other things.

It is very easy to use. The dashboard is very useful for beginners.

Its evidence-based reporting helps prioritize and solve the most important cloud security issues. It can automatically fix certain vulnerabilities or inform us to fix them on priority.

It alerts us on everything at the infrastructure level. Our application is deployed in the cloud. From the load balancer to the application level, there are many points. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security plays an important role in terms of security.

Before SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security, there was nothing I used as a best practice. It gives me much clarity in my daily work. Earlier, I would look into what kind of rules I needed to add, but there was no helpful reference or documentation. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security highlighted those things, helping me secure my cloud infrastructure.

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security has reduced our false alerts by 10%. It has improved our risk posture by 25%.

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security reduces our mean time to remediate. Previously, it would take me around 20 minutes to understand what was happening, but SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security gives me clarity about what I have to do a lot quicker.

What is most valuable?

The dashboard is intuitive in terms of design and functionality. Additionally, it gives me an email for all the findings that are open. I get this data every month, so I do not need to check the dashboard.

Furthermore, at every point, it provides documentation that offers overall information on how to resolve issues, what points to check, and more. It offers a checklist, which is very helpful.

What needs improvement?

They can add more widgets to its dashboard. A centralized dashboard with numerous metrics would improve user understanding.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used the solution for around two to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable. I would rate it a nine out of ten for stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable. I would rate it a nine out of ten for scalability.

It is being used at multiple locations and regions. In my team, 14 users are there.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate their support a ten out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use any similar solution previously.

How was the initial setup?

We have a hybrid deployment model. The initial setup is very simple. It probably took two to three days.

Its maintenance is managed by SentinelOne. We do not have a look into maintenance.

What other advice do I have?

It is a good product to get data from a security point of view. I would definitely recommend this product to others. It offers maximum security and scalability. It is easy. I can just open SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security and get the data.

I would rate SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security a ten out of ten.

A comprehensive solution for complete visibility

  • March 17, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

How has it helped my organization?

The most beneficial aspect of adopting these solutions is gaining visibility. We manage false positives efficiently, using tools like Tenable, which also provide visibility and help differentiate between actual risks and false positives concerning vulnerabilities.

What is most valuable?

Visibility is the most important aspect. Azure MonitorSentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security, and other tools help gain visibility into our environments. Previously, we did not have any information about our environment. We now have visibility.

Evidence-based reporting is essential as it guides us in deciding and prioritizing vulnerability by improving our understanding of our environment. Before implementing these tools, obtaining information about our environment was challenging.

What needs improvement?

The documentation could be better. Besides improving the documentation, obtaining a professional or partner specializing in the implementation of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is very important, as it can save time during the implementation process.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used this solution for four or five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my previous company, we once discovered a problem in one of our environments using SentinelOne, but I do not remember exactly what the problem was.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used any similar solution. SentinelOne offers a comprehensive solution for the complete environment. It is very difficult to get the same results from different partners and manufacturers.

How was the initial setup?

It is easy; it is not difficult.

What about the implementation team?

Usually, we make a deal with a specific partner specializing in implementation. We do not implement it on our own.

What other advice do I have?

Most security solutions are easy to use but require minimal knowledge to implement and maintain them.

Overall, I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Reporting features and customer service have significantly improved monitoring and issue resolution

  • February 19, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We are using SentinelOne for CSPM Cloud, specifically for cloud misconfiguration monitoring and related tasks on SentinelOne.

What is most valuable?

The reporting feature is noteworthy. We have scheduled reports for all accounts. We have seven to eight accounts in our AWS setup, so we have scheduled reports for production and similar tasks. We have separate reports for misconfiguration issues. For other accounts, we have created summary reports. We share these summary reports separately and can bifurcate them based on our requirements. Furthermore, we have added a feature where we can see the total hierarchy of an event, viewing the account details and the changes that occurred. When I joined, there were more than one hundred open findings on SentinelOne where our team was not fully aware of the misconfigurations. We had calls with SentinelOne to gain more solutions and proper descriptions, as many issues were not properly described. They have changed many scripts to improve alerting and reduce false alerts. In one instance, there was a twenty-four-hour delay in an issue appearing on the portal. They have since resolved these issues.

What needs improvement?

In the Analytics section, there is a tab for showing the severity of open issues by day. There are three options: by week, by month, and for more than thirty days. However, despite being aware of many issues open for more than thirty days, it shows no data available. We contacted the team, and they are working to resolve this, as it gives our management a false impression of there being no open incidents over that period.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have worked with this product for the last one and a half years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable. Based on my observation, it appears stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

There are no issues. It is working properly. I do not see any changes needed currently. We need to discuss with our team about adding something new, like resolving the Analytics part not showing data for more than thirty days. We have a call scheduled next week for this, and it will likely be resolved.

How are customer service and support?

The customer service is good. When we raise a ticket, we receive a proper response, and it does not take much time.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have mainly worked with 'being safe'. Previously, I was involved in networking. Upon joining this organization, I became part of the InfoSec team, and we monitor networks and security. Initially, 'being safe' worked well, but after the migration, I have had more clarity on the issues.

How was the initial setup?

During migration, we have not faced any issues. The migration from 'being safe' to SentinelOne was smooth. When I joined, eight accounts were already integrated with 'being safe'. We have not added new accounts yet, only migrated the existing eight.

What about the implementation team?

We had a call with our team, and they resolved certain issues. They have changed many scripts to improve alerting.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

The AWS team considered shifting from SentinelOne to another tool offered by AWS; however, during the migration and agreement signing, our CISO and InfoSec team advocated for keeping this tool. We have suggested enhancements, which SentinelOne has implemented without hesitation. The cooperation from SentinelOne has prevented us from wanting to shift.

What other advice do I have?

Surely, it is a good tool to have. During the migration period and agreement signing, our CISO and InfoSec team required this tool, and SentinelOne made changes for us without hesitation. Their cooperative nature has influenced our decision not to shift. We are using CSPM; the rating is eight and a half to nine out of ten. I am an Information Security Manager. I would rate the overall solution as 8.5 to 9 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
