A complete game changer
What do you like best about the product?
RStudio has been a complete game changer for me at work. Not only does it provide a slick interface for utilizing the R programming language, it makes implementing new packages and combining multiple programming languages simple and efficient. The Help tab save a great deal of time that would otherwise be spent on Google. The Plots tab makes exporting plots quick and versatile. Personally, I could go on for a long time on how great this product is. Shout out to the Monokai theme; it makes coding a dream.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some issue with saving plots and their size and scale. I can program a plot to have a specific scale, but open it in the Plots tab differently and the saved file changes. Especially when I put multiple plots onto the same image there are scale issues. I have spent more time than I would like to admit adjusting scales.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I complete probably 85%-90% of my work with RStudio. We run off an IBM AS400 server and I constantly pull and manipulate data through an ODBC connection using SQL queries and then dump the data into Excel. Data wrangling that would take literal days in Excel take mere seconds once a program is written. We recently updated our accounting software and we had to verify that our data transferred correctly. The accountants would have had to check hundreds of thousands of lines of data manually over the course of days (in at least 3 different stages), but I was able to complete the whole process in a few hours (coding, formatting, and running scripts combined). Highly powerful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check out the documentation and Stack Overflow with questions. This GUI is highly powerful and worth the time to acclimate to. I would also recommend the theme "Monokai," which is a dark theme. It makes the coding softer on the eyes.

Needs some programming knowledge but worth it
What do you like best about the product?
R is really good in terms of working with complex graphs. Packages like igraph and sna are great for working with social networks data and are fairly easy to use. Lots of packages are developed by users for specific purposes not already provided by RStudio and that are generally useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often difficult to work with, needs decent programming skills. Programs developed by users often have bugs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
social network analysis, regression analysis, data visualization
R studio use for productionalizaing Data science projects
What do you like best about the product?
R studio as a very easy learning curve,it takes less than a week to become operational.Installation of tool is simple and installation packages are available for various platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
UI for R studio inst that mature enough as of version 1.00 Studio which i use.PAckage maintaince and tracebility is not that efficient
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am levering R studio to solve Healthcare problems.Easy of learning and wide community network has made me produce results in this tool reaaly quickly and efficiently
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A good tool to try learning Machine learning
Wonderful experience with the tool
What do you like best about the product?
The tool can be used to perform the Machine learning, predictive analytics, and data mining tasks at ease. It supports various additional add-ons which makes development process simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has been out in the industry for a long time but there is no proper support for it. It would be great if there is a better documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Machine learning, predictive analytics, and Data mining
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool to work with when using predictive analytics. Just go with it.
LOVE RSTUDIO
What do you like best about the product?
This shell makes it so much easier to use R, rendering it more user friendly and less error prone!
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't have all the features that I want. Saving files and various components of the workspace is especially non-intuitive or tricky at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes using R to do data analytics much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would definitely recommend using this for data work! It's very big in the field and I believe is only going to get bigger.
Best statistical software
What do you like best about the product?
It's free and comprehensive. Staticians' lingua franca.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve. Poor documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Predictive models.
Great platform to write R code.

R Studio
What do you like best about the product?
I like that R Studio is a bit more of a GUI than base R. It makes the user experience a little better. I also find the help tools to be really useful in learning how to run analyses that I'm unfamiliar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like other aspects of R, there is a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using RStudio for analysis of ecological datasets. Repeatability is very important for many analyses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would use this over the traditional and clunkier version of R, but you'll still need to know how to code in the R programming language.
RStudio makes coding in R simple, package installation convenient and plotting simple.
What do you like best about the product?
Its great for functional programming, and it data oriented objects make analysis a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't pair well with Java, and it cant handle big data without relying on fake c++, and even then the limits are evident, just try and process text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing clinical trial data, and creating figures for publication.
