Boomi simplifies integration from coding and makes complex integrations sound simple

Boomi help in debugging needs some improvement. Some messages can really be non-descriptive !!!
Documentation from Boomi for customer files can be really difficult especially if the integration exists and you are forced to create documentation for example for a 50 column file which needs to be documented. You actually need to open the field and gets it characteristics field by field

Any integration product is as good as its foundation and the team responsible. Any product may be made to look bad based on the user. But other than its debugging headaches Boomi is a class product which removes the headache of coding and managing interfaces.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing which i like is transformation of data, updating, splittig of data.
securing the data is very much i liked,by data process. the main thing is it is just a drag and drop tool,unlike other integration tools with less coding. The other best part is that picking of shapes through drag and drop method is very simple and easy.Data manipulation and transformation through shapes is quite simple and easy.

What do you dislike about the product?
what i did not like is scripting,as i don't have knowledge of java scripting which is quite difficult for me to get through it and is being used in two shapes that include map and the data process. few of the connector authentications are little difficult to understand which are used in the processes. Example explaination is required for the documentation provided by the dell boomi.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to use salesforce connection to build a scenario for my process, the connection and operation of the salesforce is very easy to get the connection. The use of different connectors is to retrieve the data from the source to pass through the destination. The use API's for SOAP and REST activities is very useful to understand the concept of API's.

its a simple and user friendly platform which is easily understood by the new developers.

What do you like best about the product?
The thing i liked the best in dell boomi is that the process canavas is user friendly. The shapes are easy to select and the best part is the drag and drop option. The process is easy to run in the test mode and the results observed is user friendly.It is easily understandable to the users. The document provided by the dell boomi is also an easy way to get access to the dell boomi.Its easy to work with the connectors as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main part which i didnt like in dell boomi is that the groovy scripting which is being used in map shape and the data process shape. The coding part is quite difficult for me to understand.Their should be a small change in the scripting side coding that should be minimised. The document provided by dell boomi should be in detailed with the examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working with salesforce updation for practice .I felt more easy working with it. The connection and operation of the sales force is easily upgraded. The another best thing which i felt is working with the API's is also very user understandable way. By using mail connectors to send mails to multiple mails using a single connector.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly recommend to use dell boomi as a platform its quite simple and easy to use its user friendly too.

On the whole, i enjoy the application by developing process flow. However below listed are some of them,

5. 99% meets my internal customer requirements
6. New upgrades of the workbench is easy to use.
7. Admin & setup features are easy to do
8. It is a stable system which makes it easy to show this to Management/customers
9. New landing page is handy to navigate to various places of Boomi Platform.
10. New courses are very interesting.
11. Upgrade courses like developer certifications of 2021 are good for recertification and continues learnign.

Compared to other ETL tools, There are not much of dislikes here.

As a dell Boomi developer, I use this platform to integrate data between multiple enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Successfactors, email, Webservices, concur, and many more. Even for sending reports and email alerts/notifications.
Scheduling custom HR notifications and Alerts are very useful.
Sending HTML-formated email is a highlight.

I would highly recommend this to other developers as well as organizations and friends. I even ask my friends to get trained and certified with Boomi to get good career opportunities like me.
A well balanced, easy to use cloud Integration tool
What do you like best about the product?
There are actually many things that I like about Dell Boomi. One thing that I like the most is the immediate response of the Dell team. We can provide our suggestions which we feel is necessary and they will review it and immediately start working on it.
As it is cloud based, we can access it from anywhere and the UI of this software is very user friendly and we can implement our logic without any confusion or hindrances.

What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional hangs which occurs specially while working with advanced search features of connectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to automate several processes which involves integration with Salesforce, Sucessfactors, NetSuite, ViewCentral and many more third party vendors which otherwise would have caused a lot of manual effort and would have been more error prone.

Managing the Boomi folder structure(Deleting or Creating the connections,etc..).

Simple UI, Easy development, Nice support, Quick updates to the tool, version control..

There are some improvement areas like better support for custom scripting. Documentation is nice theoretically but better to have more examples.

Mainly used for integrating salesforce with other source systems like database or any homegrown systems through web services.
