Significant Reduction in Bot Attacks and Excellent Support Team
What do you like best about the product?
DataDome has significantly reduced bot attacks, which in turn has minimized the need for reactive firefighting by our operations team. The implementation process was smooth, and the intuitive dashboards offer clear visibility into traffic patterns and attack types. Additionally, the TAM and support teams are highly responsive and a pleasure to work with, making the overall experience seamless and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
While DataDome offers strong protection overall, there’s room for improvement in certain areas—particularly the mobile SDKs for Android and iOS, which I found challenging to implement. Enhanced documentation or streamlined integration would greatly improve the developer experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDome is effectively mitigating bot attacks, which has significantly reduced stress on our backend systems. This proactive protection has resulted in zero system downtime or outages, ensuring consistent service availability and improving overall operational stability.

DataDome has proven to be a reliable, innovation-oriented partner. One of its major strengths is the responsiveness and expertise of its support team. Whether for day-to-day questions or more strategic discussions, the team is always available and provides precise, actionable answers—a real asset in a demanding digital environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
The requirement to install a module at the Load Balancer level can complicate deployment in certain architectures. A more flexible approach here could ease adoption in varied technical contexts.
Additionally, the log retention period cannot be modified. The ability to customize this retention would be a real plus for meeting compliance or operational requirements specific to each organization.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It mostly protects us from crawlers, and from hackers that try to automate attacks on our websites.
Clear, reliable, and effective security solution
What do you like best about the product?
DataDome gives us peace of mind, and we appreciate having an ad hoc Security Operations Center team ready to support 24/7. It’s very easy to use, low-touch once implemented, and it delivers on what it promises. We’ve found the reporting and protection much clearer and more effective than our previous bot protection solution. Most importantly, it hit our target false positive rate, which was a big success factor for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback was the implementation process, which took longer than expected due to our websites being PWAs / using service workers. Once set up, however, the day-to-day operation has been smooth and requires very little ongoing effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDome protects our ecommerce platform from malicious bots, credential stuffing, and scraping attempts that previously impacted performance and customer experience. By filtering out bad traffic, we’ve reduced strain on our infrastructure, improved site reliability, and ensured that genuine customers can shop without disruption.

One of the most significant points of contention is the price. The platform is considered a premium, and at times, very expensive solution, with pricing starting in the thousands of dollars per month. This can be a major barrier for smaller businesses or those with limited security budgets.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection of the platform from various types of fraud activities, mainly related to false registration, attacks on recovery endpoints and brute-force of user accounts.

The ability to integrate at edge is very nice, leads to a simple setup.

I find the efficacy of its bot detection to lean into false positive territory quite often.
The JS library is prone to race conditions unless the datadome script is loaded extreamly early in the page, which often isnt ideal for page performance.

What do you like best about the product?
The most useful aspect of DataDome is its ability to detect and mitigate bot attacks in real-time without affecting the experience of legitimate users. Its main advantage lies in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, which allows it to quickly adapt to new threats. Additionally, it offers easy integrations with multiple platforms (CDN, WAF, APIs, mobile applications) and a very intuitive dashboard to monitor suspicious traffic.

The least useful aspect is that, in some cases, it can generate false positives that block legitimate users, which requires fine-tuning in the configuration. Another disadvantage is that its cost can be high for startups or small companies, as it is mainly aimed at organizations with a large volume of traffic.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration of DataDome was done quickly, with very professional support from the technical teams. From the POC phase, we were able to measure the system's effectiveness in detecting and blocking suspicious behavior without impacting the user experience. The solution integrates seamlessly into our stack and the interface allows for detailed traffic analysis, which is very useful for our technical teams. The dashboard is intuitive and the reports are clear: we can immediately see the impact of the solution in terms of threat detection and blocking. Another strong point is the ability to easily manage exception rules, such as whitelisting IPs for certain technical partners or third-party services, which is essential in our context.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has happened to us that the solution triggers captchas for legitimate users, especially during traffic spikes or behaviors mistakenly considered suspicious. However, the DataDome teams have always been responsive in analyzing these cases and adjusting the rules accordingly.
