It's useful, but not the cleanest source of data
What do you like best about the product?
Easy search functionality. Lots of data available with plenty of direct phone numbers and emails. You can save lists and export them to your CRM.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of the data is outdated and needs to be cleaned up. It is more focused on larger companies, and as I outreach to small businesses, it's not as useful for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cold outreach, cold calling, and getting direct access to decision makers. Benefits have been that it's often faster to get direct contact information which puts you in touch with the right person more easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely ask for a free trial for at least a month so that you can determine whether the industries and business size you are prospecting into are well-populated in ZoomInfo. If it's big companies, Enterprise-level, places with lots of publicly available data, then you're probably good to go. If you are outreaching to obscure industries and small businesses, then you really want to make sure it's worth it before investing in it.

Great for direct dials
What do you like best about the product?
-Best data source for direct dials. For clarification, my target contacts are in sales or client success

-The platform itself has a pretty dated UI - so I typically stick to using the SFDC integration
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking to increase call connect rate and now we're floating around 8%, which is up from 3%-4%.
Great Tool, Updated Contacts, Great Customer Service!
What do you like best about the product?
I think the UX of the tool, and the fact that data is updated frequently, and also the opportunity to ask for refreshed content, and getting it pretty quickly helps me with my function as a Research, Business Development, Strategy, and Partnership Leader at L&T IT.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much that I have come across, yet...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My role is to drive Business Development, Research, and Strategy for our Americas Manufacturing Business Unit. Tools such as Tech Landscape give me an idea of what we can propose to our Clients for their future tech direction, Triggers allow me to see immediately impacts them, etc.

Spot on Information
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to drill down into the exact set of companies and contacts I need to get my message out. Once chosen, the capability set up email feeds based on activities has allowed me to capture valuable and actionable intelligence, and act on that data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any other database, every once in a while the data gets out of date. The CSM team is great in addressing those issues when they arise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing to a defined territory and set of clients based on perceived need, and setting up automated feeds for activities that may be pertinent to my offerings. The data allows me to focus efforts on areas which were not originally evident, and uncover insights into organizational and buyer behavior that were not originally evident on first pass.
Good Accuracy and Nice Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
The accuracy of the data in the finance section is better than I've been able to source elsewhere. It also has a nice organizational chart embedded in accounts so you can understand who your really calling into. Human verification is huge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes individuals in the finance units that your are referred to our not available. Would be nicer if the information was a bit more complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in the enterprise, it is sometimes hard to find accurate contact info for higher level executives. Discover does a nice job of having contact info available for higher end executives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best information available for finance departments. Human verified is their competitive edge.
Software Sales Can't be done without this!
What do you like best about the product?
The information is extremely accurate. I've explained to our SDRs that they need to be on top of their game because when they call using DiscoverOrg's information - it is not uncommon to have a direct line to a C-level.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I don't like about this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without DiscoverOrg, your sales team will spend a lot more time researching who to contact and how to get a hold of them. This almost entirely eliminates this process and allows you to qualify and unqualify accounts quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have looked at other tools like Data.com and Rainking - skip ahead and buy the right product. You will waste more time trying out these less accurate tools.
Great Source of Data for Sales Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Having direct contact info(email and phone) for most of my target accounts and contacts helps me focus my time on higher quality outreach and conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some company and individual data is not updated very often requiring additional research at times. Would also be nice if there were a way to see which contacts are already in your CRM through the integration. This may already exist but I am not aware of it if it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing clean and accurate data for myself and my sales team to use for outreach towards targeted accounts and contacts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The data you will receive from ZI is as good as you will find from anywhere. No software is going to be perfect 100% of the time. ZI has been the most consistent source that I have tried compared to some of their competitors. Compare a few different solutions and see what is best for your organization based on quality, price, terms, etc.

would be nice to know when contact information was last validated (not just updated) and what the source was

Use a source like LinkedIn to validate titles!
Zoominfo - accurate and wide
What do you like best about the product?
The verification standards were top notch for this this type of product. I believe this is due to the fact that they do not rely on the "points" model that many other vendors utilize to build and maintain their database.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search was ok, but it did not seem that every parameter was possible. For example, technology usage was not an indexable item

We needed to build out a database of prospective contacts/accounts

good tool for broad firmographic data, utile the export to CSV functionaliy for bulk Salesforce uploads

Zoominfo has the most accurate direct dials one can find!

Account data is so so, but that is not what I use them for so it is not an issue for me personally.

It is helping us get phone time with our most sought after prospects, Reachout has now improved the speed and efficiency in regards to our prospecting efforts
