Using DiscoverOrg in a lead development role

What do you like best about the product?
Great information on companies such as budgets and company org structure. Great contact info for individuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there were more contacts. I sometimes struggle to find the people I am trying to research and have to use other sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lead research would be much harder without DiscoverOrg. It makes my job easier by giving me most of the info I need in a centralized location.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how I can access LinkedIn right from my search. It also makes it easier that you can sync Sales Loft with DiscoverOrg so when running a cadence I can just import the contacts directly from DiscoverOrg and it not be so much a manual process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the information is not as accurate as you would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to target specific people to prospect. Benefits are that we can updates on company changes thanks to their scoops.

What do you like best about the product?
When Discoverorg has the information on a company it is often very detailed and comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
if Discoverorg does NOT have info on a particular company it is often categorized incorrectly or entirely incomplete. The list tool is relatively useless depending on what industry you're in and what insights you pay for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No long paying separate employees to research contacts or companies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be patient and not too reliant on the List Tool. Use the other features like OPP Alerts, etc to optimize use.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to navigate. I also like how you can subscribe for weekly reports to be sent to your email around things going on at your top accounts. It's very easy to export an excel sheet with the info you need, which makes it easy to load into Outreach and thus start email campaigns. It's also great to see levels of seniority.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how a lot of things I need to see are locked. I suppose that is a matter of the subscription my company purchased. I would also like if we had some formal training on DiscoverOrg when I first started. I learned a lot of it on the fly (before going to become DiscoverOrg certified earlier this year).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an inside sales rep at a fast growing start up, my region is always changing. I've made my way across the United States, so being able to quickly leverage DiscoverOrg as a tool to research and find key contacts/accounts (in conjunction with LinkedIn) has been very helpful. I've also found it helpful to start my week by reading through the email that is sent to me updating me about what's been going on at my top companies I marked. Helps my week get going with some current prospecting.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, find contacts & companies, and export critical information. I use the tool everyday!
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe adding an option to receive notifications on any new employees added to your states not specifically accounts you must follow? This would be helpful in my role as I don't have a named account list, but cover multiple states.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Find contacts and companies that I would have never been aware of. Accurate contact information to begin conversations and spark interest.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration tab within the website that quickly identifies that it does have a database within discover org
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited accounts within my account base (about 1/3) that are available in the database
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Importing new key contacts into CRM. Seamless integration and ease of use with important new leads/contacts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Need more orgs in the database

DiscoverOrg obtains crucial information about a potential account.It is easy to look up a company

Sometimes company is not listed or access is denied
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obtaining e-mail and phone contacts at new companies that I haven't interfaced with previously or locating additional contacts in an existing business.

What do you like best about the product?
The lay out, it's so easy to use and read. Typing someone's name and having their whole profile pop up. Being able to import a contact into salesforce. The additional information it uploads.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it would just tell ne someone s not in the data base instead of showing others
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me time by being able to upload, I can look for additional phone number.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the scoops section the best. It gives you insight that you can't find anywhere else. You can also run detailed reports and get a very specific list together for prospecting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is that you cannot mark contacts that you have reached out to already, so I export lists and keep an excel file that I reference so I don't end up emailing the same people over and over again. Our company doesn't give us permissions to send to our CRM so we don't have another way to keep track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prospecting leads is the number one thing I use this for. I have also used it to figure out hierarchy in a company. The most helpful are the scoops, one time I was prospecting a company and realized that they just filed bankruptcy...if I didn't have this information I would have wasted a lot of time.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to send contacts straight into the CRM. The data is valuable and that really helps keep our CRM clean. I do like the request research button as well. although, I was not made aware of it until we received more formal training from a CSM. This is the first time that I have wokredi nan org where a CSM was so willing to show new tools and really.
What do you dislike about the product?
We work in a commercial/mid-market space and some companies are not in the database. However, we have the ability to send requests too. Thethe small widget that runs on the website is also sometimes hard to pull up because it will not appear on the main screen until you reach the very bottom of the page. I know that the projects is expanding and I am excited to see whats next.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dirty (invalid) data in Salesforce. We have been around for about 5 years and have yet to get a SFDC admin that can monitor our data but Discover helps keep us up to date. Being in outbound sales, you have to be able to call upon the right be people and be able to know the people in the org who are relevant to what you offer. Nothing is more frustrating than pulling up a directory but not having the correct extension to dial. Discover actually provides the extension when you upload the contact info into the CRM. THAT IS AMAZING

Do it. It is worth it
