Increased outbound demos booked within 2 weeks

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The organizational structure view. I can target a specific team and if I don't get responses I can go above to their team leader and request an introduction and even name drop a little.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have noticed I can get some data from ZoomInfo that I can't get on DiscoverOrg. I think that could be the target persona we are after isn't always in the marketing department and we only have access to marketing with DiscoverOrg.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Low levels of outbound demos to large organizations. Since jumping on with DiscoverOrg about a month ago there have definitely been increases and demos booked with high profile companies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Well worth it. As an SDR my outbound open rates, click rates and reply rates have increased dramatically and I have been able to get in front of my target persona almost straight away.

DiscoverOrg Review

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the overall layout of DiscoverOrg. It is extremely easy to use and navigate. The filters are also easy to select and the best part is that the results come up very quickly. It's also nice that you can save an advanced search so you can go back in and change the filters without starting all over again, every time you do a search.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the limited options for Job Functions. If I type a specific position into the search, it rarely comes up. The other thing is that the "Notes" about an individual's responsibilities are often different than what they have on Linkedin. I also would like to be able to organize the columns I will be exporting so I don't have to organize the columns in the spreadsheet form. It would also be helpful to select the file format you would like to export instead of having to go in and save the excel sheet as a Google Sheet and then delete the excel sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With DiscoverOrg we are able to create good contact lists to help with lead generation and prospecting campaigns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for ease of use and quick results then DiscoverOrg is great. If you like to go into detail with your filters and organize the columns of information before exporting, then DiscoverOrg is not for you.

What do you dislike about the product?
The HR function is really underdeveloped

Very happy with DiscoverOrg!

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
more direct numbers than other databases
great prospecting tool for more accounts
What do you dislike about the product?
-Sometimes I will find someone in the marketing department on LinkedIn but I can't find them on DiscoverOrg, or sometimes I want to find someone that's not in the marketing department but they don't show up in the tree.
-when you look up a company and it automatically links with the parent company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowing which people have switched positions, knowing pains (scoops) in a company
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Demonstrations about certain features are really valuable

Good and getting better

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly find emails and phone numbers for prospects. From C-level to low managers, its a great tool. The scoops are really helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the information is outdated even though it says it was confirmed recently. There have been times when a prospect left a company months ago but DO has "confirmed their information on x date (this date will be months after the prospect left the company)."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaining access to the top prospects and scoops. The scoops ahve provided a ton of benefit as they tend to fill you in on employee moves or company news that you may have missed.

Great tool

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Accuracy of the information and how quick they fix/answer requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to see needed contacts of a company without adding additional databases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating sales leads for newly launched products. The accuracy of the data provided by DO helps the sales reps contact the right person. We've had too many bought lists that waste time with people who are no longer there changed jobs. DO does a good job of keeping up to date.

JD - IR Discovery Org Experience

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The hierarchic organizational layout that helps navigate new organizations
What do you dislike about the product?
The consistently outdated/incomplete information. Disc.org is a good place to start, but I know that many of my target prospects wont actually be int here and I need to fine their info with something like linkedin or zoom info (before the merger).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Target account size and location, with a general idea of leadership. We have also used the report tool once or twice to scrub our existing lists for out target accounts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't rely on this exclusively but definitely a great tool to fill out your portfolio for prospecting

What do you like best about the product?
The smart search options that help me narrow down my prospecting
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search is not enough to funnel out the cold leads
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves the issue of not having enough fresh leads to contact and I have realized that it helps me build out more extensive cadences

Great scoping tool.

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the platform is fantastic. It just makes sense. I enjoy how granular company data can get as it provides information for multiple departments, in multiple different locations. The scoops are incredible! I still can't figure out how the information is gathered in terms of finding out about specific initiatives like training BUT I have yet to find a time that DiscoverOrg was wrong in noting the scoop. I have used a lot of tools in regards to sales and prospecting and the scoops are something no other company has on you (to my knowledge). I LOVE IT!
What do you dislike about the product?
The information within each organization can tend to be outdated quite often. When you cross reference with LinkedIn you see the specific employee is with another company now and has been for months. It concerns me that it the accounts aren't checked more regularly. I would encourage a higher rate of reviewing by the company to insure the data doesn't lag more than one month back. This will increase customer satisfaction as we won't be submitting tickets to resolve issues and will be focusing on our actual job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps increase my productivity because it cuts down my prospecting time more often then not. I enjoy that both Salesforce and DiscoverOrg can link together to save even more time by enabling you to, with the click of a button, add a contact or company into the CRM platform. It makes for adding contacts, leads and organizations as easy as it possibly could be. Definitely a real benefit in the space I work in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to save time and increase the productivity of your business development unit I strongly recommend you consider this product. It will do exactly that.
