Insights on company technologies, scoops, and contact information. Workflows functionality to identify/follow companies in a tactful way for engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of direct integration with SalesLoft. I have to duplicate tasks from my CRM to then import into Salesloft - not automatically updated.

Six months in, this tool continues to be useful
What do you like best about the product?
I love just the vastness of information available to me within this tool. So many possibilities! The dedicated support that we have is also essential. The integration with Salesforce is also a huge time saver. Lookalike companies has been useful for us as well. I really appreciate all of the training that DiscoverOrg has offered to us. Not just for the tool itself, but sales training in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be a bit prohibitive. Our CEO only okayed the purchase of one tech stack, but the contacts I need tend to straddle other job fuctions. I would really like to be able to share lists that I've created through advanced search with other users. I know that I can export and share, but it would be very helpful to start an advanced search, start plugging in search parameters, and share it with my collagues for their input.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding the right contacts has been a game changer. Scoops and OppAlerts have also enabled us to find companies in need of our solution that were not previously on our radar. We are also able to find companies using our competitors' solutions and better tailor our strategy.

Customer Success Is A BIG Disappointment
What do you like best about the product?
The data is actually really good, which is why it's such a shame that customer success is very sub par. I like that DiscoverOrg seems to be adding new features to help improve the benefits of the solution. However, being difficult to work with, really makes it so that I cannot recommend them overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been long-time DiscoverOrg customers. However, with the acquisition of Zoom Info, the customer success team members have really been a huge disappointment. Worth knowing that they cut off your ability to export or sync any data to your CRM 30 days before you are up for renewal. So basically you only get 11 months worth of usage out of a year contract. Customer success is super slow and unresponsive until you are up for renewal. I also had issues with our manager going around the solution owners on our side and trying to work with other groups. I also had two different people in contact with me about the account - lots of confusion on their side. Overall, they very much discounted the customer preferences and relationship. I also wouldn't suggest buying the Bombara integration with DiscoverOrg - just buy direct from Bombara.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main reason to use DiscoverOrg was for account intelligence and contact identification.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Speak with and understand the roles in customer success before purchasing.

Data: 40% of Contact Data is Incorrect, Service: 10% Renewal Uplift with Shady Business Practice
What do you like best about the product?
When we began the service, the on-boarding experience was great. Our Customer Success met with the team individually and trained the staff on how the best use the app. At first we were impressed with the size and depth of the database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am reluctant to write this review for try to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, my experience with DiscoverOrg / ZoomInfo deserves to be shared.
BACKGROUND
We bought a 2 year Subscription DiscoverOrg service to help with our Sales and Marketing activities. We sells mainly to high tech companies that sells SaaS.
40 PERCENT OF THE DATA IS INCORRECT
- When we began the service, the on-boarding experience was great. Our Customer Success met with the team individually and trained the staff on how the best use the app. At first we were impressed with the size and depth of the database. However, once we start using the lists we found on average 40 percent of the contact data is incorrect.
- We thought we were building our lists incorrectly, however, once we learned it was not use it was the database itself.
- We perform both email and direct dial campaigns. Each and every week we were finding that from 36% to 45% percent of the contact data was incorrect, where the person left, or of the wrong individual.
- Over the 2 years, we have hired prospecting firms who have seen similar results with the database. These firms have told us that DiscoverOrg / ZoomInfo is notorious for having high bad data rates and that 40% is the norm they see.
BE PREPARED TO SPEND MONEY TO FIX DISCOVERORG / ZOOMINFO DATA
- After realizing 40% of the Data is incorrect, we had to spend money on other applications and services to correct and clean up the data.
THEIR SALESFORCE APP OVERWRITES YOUR CLEAN DATA WITH THEIR BAD DATA
- We implemented their Salesforce App to provide insights to Account and Contact data.
- Once we started to correct and clean up the large number of records with bad DiscoverOrg / ZoomInfo data, we realized their app is poorly constructed where it will overwrite our updates rather than accept them.
- We were spending additional money to fix DiscoverOrg / ZoomInfo data to have the app replace it rather than accept it.
YOUR SUBSCRIPTION DOES NOT HAVE A UNIFORM START / END DATE
- As we got closer to our Subscription End Date with DiscoverOrg / ZoomInfo, we noticed our contract end date different. Their finance depart would tell us an end date than would differ from the renewal sales team. We had to ask repeatedly what is our Subscription End Date.
THEY AUTOMATICALLY APPLY A 10% UPLIFT
- I totally understand businesses have to make money. Most SaaS applications have an uplift from 3% to 7%, but I have never seen an application at 10%.
- If their service on Month 24 was better than Month 1, I understand why 10% is applicable, however for the entire 2 year duration their incorrect contact data has been around 40%.
- 10% uplift with no improvement in data quality does not seem right.
THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW YOUR AND THREAT COLLECTIONS IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR RENEWAL
- We are still a customer and have expressed we do not want to renew, however, they will not let us expire the Contract.
- When we asked to not to renew, they threaten us to take us to collects and demand we speak with their legal department.
- They do not send out any renewal notices ahead of time. They just email you on day 60 from the Contract End Date that you are auto-renewed with a 10% uplift.
- When we emailed back that we did not want to renew, they said too late. Most companies give you 30 days lock-in period with 90 day renewal notice. Not DiscoverOrg / ZoomInfo, where there is NO advanced renewal notice.
- Now I have 2 month left and I cannot cancel. This is one shady company.

Worst Ever
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to prospect by company size and industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their pricing is only for Enterprise sized clients. When I started using ZI 8 years ago, the price was $1,995/user/year. then it went up to $3,995 and I told them I couldn't afford that in one shot as I"m a startup/one man shop. They got back to me a few months later saying they've added a new product and pricing model for startups and they can do quarterly payments and monthly rates start at 1k a month. Are you kidding me? You called me back to tell me that you've increases the price 3X and can now do quarterly payments? Such a joke... Use lusha - $199/month for 300 credits (contacts) and gives you way more accurate data than ZoomInfo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't use Zoominfo - use Sales Navigator to zero in on the contacts that you want to target, develop your targeted account list and use Lusha to gather all of that information. I wouldn't recommend ZoomInfo to sales - only marketers that get paid on # of impressions and size of audience.
A Remarkable Software to Find your Prospects
What do you like best about the product?
We use it to enhance the quality and strengthen the quantity of the leads. I like that it enables us to discover opportunities within the target companies by providing our salespersons with valuable insights they can leverage while having sales conversations. I also like the feature to search for companies or prospects through filters and target specific audience for our campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are instances when the phone number or email ids are incorrect. Also, database of certain companies are very limited. However, I still find it much better than almost all of its competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's one of the best sales intelligence softwares. It provides access to database, organization charts, and ongoing projects of prospects and customers. These information helps us to connect with our prospects and sell to them more effectively.
