Great Cloud Data Platform

  • October 26, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's nice to use this without really having to code, and it really saves a lot of costs from a data storage perspective. It's very friendly when it comes to building your own applications. It easily integrates with our mainframe based components.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little complex with the administration in this platform which is typically the case with most IBM products in my opinion. The documentation is also a little hard to follow. The support to the customer isn't the greatest either as it is hard to get in touch for any issues or bugs encountered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing us to get proper metrics on our apis and manage them in a single place

A hybrid integration platform that applies the functionality of closed-loop AI automation

  • October 06, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

The use cases involve connecting and converting data from one system to another, often involving alterations in the data's format or structure.

What is most valuable?

The most preferable aspect would be the elimination of the command, which was a significant improvement. In the past, it was a challenge, but now we can proceed smoothly with the implementation of our policies and everything is managed through JCP. It's still among the positive aspects, and it's a valuable feature.

What needs improvement?

The pricing can be improved.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using IBM Cloud Pak for Integration for the past three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable and I haven't encountered any problems. The data handled itself automatically without any issues.

How are customer service and support?

In the beginning, when we were implementing new tools and meticulously scrutinizing every detail, we faced uncertainty in establishing a connection with SAP while operating on Windows 10. However, with time, we managed to successfully address all the challenges. We received valuable insights from our research efforts, and when we initially started, the situation was quite novel. Over time, through our continuous efforts, we achieved the connection, but there were some lingering issues that they also couldn't resolve, even though they were diligently investigating the matter. In the end, we were able to find a solution ourselves.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

I was dealing with an older version of IIB, and migrating to version 54 was a significant shift. It presented some challenges, but it proved to be a valuable learning experience. It is deployed both on the cloud and on premises.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is an expensive solution.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Previously, it was coded in IID, an older version of Cloudpath. Migrating everything to Cloudpath would have been a simpler task. Additionally, the speed and precision of data processing and integrations were significantly faster in comparison to the new setup.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend using it because, in today's context, the cloud plays a significant role. Within the same user interface, you can develop applications and manage multiple applications, making it a more user-friendly option. Moreover, you can explore various other technologies while deploying on the cloud, broadening your knowledge of cloud technologies. In my case, the transition led to my learning of Kubernetes, enabling multi-scaling and expanding my technical skills. It was a valuable experience, and I had the opportunity to learn many new things during the migration process.

I can easily rate it an eight or nine out of ten.

Best integration tool for API

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the best thing about cp4i is the management of all IBM operators and user roles. CP4I gives you access to configure from handful of options such as MQ,APIC,IBM ACE, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
though the software is pretty heavy, it loads very slowly when there are plenty of integration servers running. rest things are okay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are adding an extra layer of security and management of APIs in a single place. Auto-scaling is done here which helps our services to be up all the time and it is easy to integrate.

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of IBM Cloud PAK is that it is a very easy-to-use platform which allows you to integrate data and apps between the cloud and on-premises. This also provides an overview of the data flow between different platforms, which helps in tracking the data and ensure successful integration between systems
What do you dislike about the product?
It becomes problematic when product updates are released from time to time, as we have to refer to product documentation to keep ourselves updated and staying in current.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM Cloud PAK is an excellent solution to inter-connect all platforms and provide the most relevant information after processing data in all systems, which further helps make accurate management decisions. Further, it has automated most of our processes and eliminated manual efforts, which took a lot of manual hours.

Cloud (Hybrid) served data and automation with IBM Cloud Pak

  • July 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
To start with, IBM is known for its implementation, not just concepts. It is very inspiring, Cloud Pak is a similar promise to data wranglers and owners like us. Big enterprise exercises their trust in the analytics that they serve with security. So they have made a no-code implementation engine for us to utilize right away. They call it a modernization of application, and they truly preach it. This product saves valuable time and the testing phase, which results in head-on-head revenue growth. Their support is very friendly and they are concerned about the SLA they promise. I have observed no misses on that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apart from a giant list of likes and pros, coming to a few things that put me down. When it comes to the cloud, you cannot guarantee 100% full proof security of data. When we talk about Hybrid cloud, on-prem systems need to be connected with high responsibility, especially when you're yourself a part of vendor collaboration. So, you need to be highly versed with networking in order to secure your inbound and outbound. But IBM is a name of trust and with little mindfulness, we can excel the establishment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We host our data and transform it with our client-specific business logic. Some infra is up and running on-prem and it is pulled up in IBM cloud to derive insights in our dashboard (for clients) in public view.

A well equipped hybrid integration tool

  • July 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM Cloud Pak is a great tool for multip looped cloud API integrations tool. The best part which admires me the most in this platform is code-less integration solutions for ease of users. It also has the great feature of unlocking business data silos as APIs, which makes the business wf more visible and understandable.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM Cloud Pak for integration has all the goods available as a platform for advanced API configurations and integrations, but the only thing I may dislike is the high price of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using IBM Cloud Pak mainly for API Management and Event Stream Processing and it solved our problems to test our development solutions in the cloud before the final launching of the products. We are also using the platform for minimizing the manual workflow processes by using AI solutions for automation. Our on-premise data centers are also integrated with the cloud platform for enhanced security and system integrations.
