Set it and forget it

  • January 27, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and it works every time it needs to run.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced a downside with Zapier yet. We only use it for a limited number of functions, which I'm sure could be expanded, but it works well for what we leverage it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Zapier to communicate information from our website opt-ins into our email tool and CRM.

Zapier. Is. Magic.

  • January 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is extremely easy to use. They walk you through setting up your first Zap, they suggest commonly used Zaps so you hardly have to do anything if you can find what you're looking for there, and it's really easy to set up your own if you don't. The scope of the integrations that they offer is also phenomenal.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are parts of setting up certain steps that can be a little confusing/involved if you're not well-versed in the integration you're using. For example, to have the Google Sheets integration select for a certain cell/row, you'd need to know the code name of the cell/row, which is usually a random string of characters (well, seemingly random to those who don't know), which can make that particular part of the Zap difficult to customize to the extent that you want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time and communication. Before, I would have to sync up data between 4 different spreadsheets, convey that to our pipeline software, then convey that to team member pipelines as well. With Zapier, it's easy to make Zaps that connect all of our spreadsheets to our pipelines and create simple steps to update each portion. The automation has made it faster to complete tasks and allowed us to focus our energy on other important tasks without falling behind on more tedious ones.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need multi-step Zaps, you will have to pay. And if you need more than 100 tasks completed per month, you'll also have to pay. It's not exorbitantly expensive, but that's something to keep in mind. For those of us who only need a few Zaps and a few tasks completed, it's free and easy to use.

Zapier: Great connector of disparate systems

  • January 25, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use zapier to connect our donation and web forms to Salesforce. Zapier has a great user interface and is very easy to navigate. Zapier takes you through the steps, one by one, and tests after each step is set up. This was very useful when troubleshooting the connector between complex systems. It does require some knowledge of API integration (really just need to know where to find the token and account ID), but those are usually very accessible with the help of an IT team or the system support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zapier does not, to my knowledge, have a process for setting up "if this, then that" sequencing, which would be very useful in updating contacts in our Salesforce CRM. So, Zapier is limited in the kind of rules that you can set up with the integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now able to automate a process that was once disconnected from our CRM. Zapier has helped us increase efficiency in a cost-effective way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zapier is not complicated to use, but if you're trying to integrate two systems that are more complex, such as a CRM, you will probably have to do some troubleshooting and testing to figure out the best strategy for your data flow.

Picks up where other integrations leave off

  • January 25, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Zapier connects disparate systems, and makes others even more tightly bonded and that much more powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the zaps that are pre-configured are a pain to modify and you have to start from scratch. Not the end of the world, but from someone who values efficiency I would much prefer to start with a template sometimes than from scratch. Not a deal breaker for me though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Marketing Operations professional, it is imperative that my systems (and my client's systems) are integrated. Zapier helps where those systems don't already work together and it makes my life so much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out, the worst thing that could happen is your systems actually talk to each other.

A great way to connect apps and services

  • January 24, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and to connect and get more out of apps and services without any programming knowledge. Highly recommend Zapier and often do to clients and friends.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. There are some additional zaps I'd like to see for certain apps I use, but no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often I'd like to move data from one app to another and Zapier makes this very easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking to connect more than one service and you aren't a programmer Zapier is the way to do it. Highly recommended.

Very Handy for non-technical types

  • January 23, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use it to connect several (seven) different products and it works well. We just use the basic plan but have kept under the 20 zaps limit and task limit. We've connected a CRM, sales software, IM software, scheduling software and survey software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far - had a couple of minor errors but all good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminate duplicate data entry and help expand on HubSpot's already robust workflow automation features.

Very user friendly and works great

  • January 23, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like the best about Zapier is how easy it is to use. Setting up the integrations was much easier than I thought and it worked like a charm! It eliminated the need to learn how to code and everyone on our team was able to get on board with it sooner rather than later. We weren't wasting any more time with minute tasks and were able to hand it over to Zapier to take care of it for us. We have loved our experience thus far and are looking forward to even greater features in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I disliked the most about Zapier was the delay in middle while my two integrations spoke to each other. Even though I am not complaining about the product being expensive, I would appreciate it if the team group pricing was a bit more affordable. Our company would like to move one step up but are unable to do so because of pricing restrictions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the business problem of integrations between two different software that we use. We were able to use our apps together in a seamless manner. We are using this for marketing automation and it has made our work so much easier!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend you to not doubt your self and go for Zapier as soon as you can. It was one of the best decisions we made because we are now able to link apps together and make our workflows flow better.

Zapier integration with Trello and Google Sheets

  • January 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Capable of complex automated processes to build out Trello cards including labels, checklists, and transfer of significant data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhere in the process Zapier can choke on complex and lengthy xfers. I've had to scale back the number of records that are transferred at once and frequently have to re-enter or edit data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving processes from single-threaded environment to Trello's collaborative environment has been very positive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Free version is adequate for infrequent and low-volume integrations; paid version is much faster, more frequent transfer for those with more complex needs.

Zapier - Automation for a Busy Entreprenuer

  • January 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier takes some of the grunt work out of my daily to-do list. I use it mainly for email list building and registration management. I love matching 2 different platforms and having email addresses update to each. I also use Zapier in conjunction with IFTTT as they have many automations and both services compliment each other nicely.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automation setup can be somewhat unintuitive & clunky but it has some sophisticated automations so I understand why. I do not like paying for some of the integrations as a true S in SMB, I feel 5 or 10 integrations should be free to use before you have to pay a monthly fee, that includes the paid feature items such as Paypal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email list building and organization. It works across many different types of CRM and integrates that with mailchimp my main email marketing platform. One of my favorite integrations is the Paypal registration to mailchimp integration although this is a paid feature. It's nice to collect email's automatically without having to import by hand or download a list for import.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For the best integrations, you need to upgrade to a non-free plan. Which for a large company is no issue but for a small 1 person company, it becomes an unnecessary cost.

The holy grail of workflow automation

  • January 11, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty much the holy grail of sales, marketing and project management tools because it can make them all work together. You can pretty much pick out your favourite tool for every job and then tell Zapier to streamline them into an effective suite that is just perfect for your business. For us, Zapier is the engine in which every single app of our toolset works together. Workflow automation done right. Great customer support too, they have an awesome blog full of great resources, articles and hints on how to get the most out of Zapier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm hearing from our CTO that it sometimes takes a lot of tweakening to get some apps to work together with each other. This seems rather normal to me though, with the gazillion apps around and new ones coming out everyday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier allows us to automate great parts of our businesses processes. The biggest advantage is that we can pick pretty much whatever tool we want, the best thing for the job basically, and have it work together with the next one. No need to be limited in choice because of lacking compatibility or flexibility of a particular tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and give it some time; some implementations with Zapier may require some time and patience but either way you'll be better of waiting this out than not using Zapier. I guarantee you.
