Zapier is like magic!
What do you like best about the product?
For it's complexity, its super reliable - for something so heavy duty there are surprising few issues with reliability and when a zap does break or screw up it'll alert you
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing any more, they recently fixed it - you can now add notes to zaps which is important for complex zaps that are multi step and can be difficult to understand 6 months after you set them up
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There's so many different ways we use Zapier - probably the biggest one is being able to do things with our line of business apps that they don't support natively. So long as they have some sort of API we can connect Zapier and get the app to do the things we want
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just do it!
No loyalty to long term clients and new pricing structure is not in line with their target customer
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of apps and automation options. Relatively easy to use. You can make some magic if you can figure out certain work arounds.
What do you dislike about the product?
New pricing is highly restrictive to their target demographic, which used to be small to medium size businesses. This is evident in the apps they support, many designed for startups. Their reliability is not good enough for Enterprise, yet, their pricing is now very much in line with Enterprise pricing. Less technical users quickly pay a lot more if you don't understand or have the knowledge of SQL, Python or Javascript to reduce the number of steps required. A persnonal gripe, which wont be relevant to everyoneL: I have been on grandfathered pricing as I have been with them for 6 years. Each time new features came in I upgraded my plan and paying more (with a early adpoter discount carried over) and am now on Teams (starting with their most basic offering). Experienced long term users have been complaining about the 5 minute polling as it was not competitive with other providers, which made Zapier introduce 1 minute polling to their new Team plans. I wanted to access these after it was promoted in their email newsletter and was willing to pay a bit more, as their normal plan pricing has gone up by around 17%, which is perfectly fair. They however expect me to pay over 300%, yes 3 times more to gain access to this functionality, others can get for a fraction more. They are using the excuse of extra server and admin costs. If I stay with my old plan, my price remains unchanged. This does not make sense as I am on exactly the same infrastructure, so why rort someone who has been a long term supporter? The company seems to have moved from a good customer focussed company to one focussed on optimal revenue at all costs. My complaints have fallen of deaf ears. I have been a strong promoter of Zapier, but I cannot recommend a company that treats their loyal, long standing, power users in this manner. This may backfire on them as we now have multiple competitors in the market as similar or lower pricing. I hope not as they have a lot to offer. I hope this is just a temporary attack of insanity on their part. What made this more of a shock is that my previous dealings with them always left me feeling very satisfied and that they had their user's best interest at heart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to connect multiple systems with reasonable ease. Good automation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is easier to use than some other platforms, but now can become VERY pricy, very quickly. Great app infrastructure, but most of them are small time apps, where the users might ironically find Zapier too expensive.
Gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
Set and forget - once my zap is running, there is nothing I need to do. If there's an issue, I get a notification and can deal with it, otherwise it is completely hands-off, which means I can get on with other work!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of. I wish I could use it effectively to automate responses so I could free up time taken by support - but that's a catch 22. Zapier and ZenDesk combined can probably do it, but I need the time to make it work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping diverse databases in sync, ensuring new contacts are not missed when they visit client's websites, etc
Great automation platform!
What do you like best about the product?
Love that you can just set your preferences and the program does all of the work for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a little more than what I wanted to pay at starting up. But as i used it more I saw the value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and money by allowing Zapier to handle tasks that i had other employees doing. Now I can have those employees focused on other projects to ensure organizational growth.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this platform to anyone looking to save money and increase productivity within their organization.
Saves us time from having to provide manual actions between software
What do you like best about the product?
Zapier can connect with hundreds of software that are used at the highest levels of business. I think that integrations with software can be frustrating when done in a typical way with programming, but Zapier makes integrations as easy as using simple software where we just make clear cut setting that execture directly worded actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think I've only been able to activate basic integrations that trigger simple actions in our software. I wouldn't say that Zapier can easily execute the complex implementations that are done with programming through code and other advanced computing tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier helps to connect our software and perform automated actions that can help speed up our workflow and increase the effectiveness of all of our software. Without using Zapier, we would have to perform many tasks by having to log into software directly, which can be waste of time. We have save a great deal of time over these seemingly small automated tasks. Cumulatively, all of those tasks add up to much time saved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Integrating apps can be extremely intimidating and prone to errors that can slow down business, so I'd suggest trying out a tool like Zapier that can work more smoothly with your software and be implemented with just a few steps.
Very useful tech hub
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy and powerful software to implement custom integrations between different platforms. Can setup in few minutes lots of interesting and problem solving functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation is a bit poor but once you start to play a bit, it becomes clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of integration problems between many systems.
Our company couldn't survive without our Zaps!
What do you like best about the product?
You really can do just about anything! You get value immediately once you setup your zap.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could run bigger python scripts in a zap. I would love to be able to use python to hit another API mid zap. Also being able to install more python libraries would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Financial alerting, lead flow, analytics tracking, sharing just about everything to Slack. Everyone on our team has a bunch of personal alerting set up in Zaps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just make sure you use the team feature, and document your zaps. You could save tons of time by using zapier instead of building your own scripts.
It glitches too much
What do you like best about the product?
Gives you different plans so you can tailor it to your needs. You can connect different apps to it as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It glitches way too much. The customer service is also poor. They don't notify you of issues or updates, you have to go to the site and search it and find out. They just overall suck at communicating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration
There are many useful integrations we can easily develop with Zapier
What do you like best about the product?
The look of the software and the way the integration programming features are designed are neat and mostly simple to use. Compared to other integration solutions, Zapier can work with a large number of business software that we use and can create connections that allow us to move data back and forth between software in an almost completely automated way. The cost is reasonable compared to having spend time and money to have someone work with code and other technical network issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's mostly fine to work with the Zapier programming system, but I think if they offered some more varieties in the ways we can program the integrations, like visual grid style elements, then that could make things easier for some users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we use Zapier, we can allow our many different online software to communicate with each other in a more smooth way. We don't have to perform actions by logging into the software and transferring data to other software. We can also performs actions based on certain data or actions that are performed in other software. The net result is much less time we have to spend performing software updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you could try out Zapier for a few weeks, I think you'll be able to add at least some actions that could net you many hours of time saved in the long run. The automations can essentially act like another employee that works all the time with your connected software.
The best integration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Has many integration options, user friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be buggy sometimes, not much scalable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connectivity and integration problems are solved with Zapier
