Terrible Customer Service, Misleading Pricing (Tasks & Zaps)

  • November 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It helps you connect APIs together easily to automate workflows that you would otherwise have to hire a human for.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Zapier has almost NO live customer service available. No live chat agents. No help hotline. Just email.
2) Zapier's pricing plan may seem pretty straightforward, but is actually very misleading. They charge you for both number of tasks created and number of zaps made. That eats up your credits so fast, you wish you had hired someone from UpWork instead.
3) Zapier is not actually as helpful as it makes itself out to be for the money you spend on it. A lot of automation and API integration can actually be done via your home platform for just in-app charges of the APIs, NOT NUMBER OF TASKS and ZAPS (on top of those in-app ccharges)!!!

In such way, it is unscalable, unreliable, costly, and cumbersome. The final product you create is more of a "Frankenstein" (different body parts stitched together in an expensive, incohesive and awkward way) rather than a "Transformer" (all the parts can function well on their own, and integrate seamlessly to form synergy without additive costs/parts).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We intended to create an app with Zapier, but realized quickly that the home platforms we used to host/create apps/functions on actually did it for a much more reasonable price, with better integration. We were absolutely disappointed to find out that we had signed up for Zapier's annual plan for nothing, and that many better solutions were easily available for free or a much lower cost on other platforms. Not only that, but requesting for assistance on getting a refund was available only through email.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not waste your money on Zapier. Look at integration options on your home platform first to see how much it would cost before creating zaps that zap away your money.

Zapier Integrates and automates web applications.

  • November 12, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier is a quite simple to use and configure tool, highlighting that it has many applications to synchronize, becoming an incredibly flexible feature for several of the businesses that choose to use the program for their own gain, highlighting that it allows it a totally powerful device. in its field of operation when it is incorporated with a network, demonstrating what it acquires in its architecture. Instead of hiring a developer to write custom code for integrations, you can do it yourself in a really user-friendly way. This would be even more profitable and it also ensures that you can change things yourself when your company needs change.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are cases in which Zapier may not be able to handle this when you need tight two way integration of two systems, and you have to shift towards a more business-friendly solution. Even if mobile device is available, the most important thing, is that the Web version does not provide a well-structured multi-fault support in one of its functionalities, which is seen as a convenience by Zapier cus, is the telephone support for each user who has the application downloaded into the mobile desks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keep our staff and Suppliers who do not have access to our salesforce external services. I use Zapier mainly for email marketing in my organization, it enables us to transfer subscribers from one platform to another. It's mainly so that we can acquire more potential customers in our business. This way, we have a very substantial and convenient income, in our environment, that supports a viable and comfortable environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zapier is crucial if you use other unique platforms to improve this job, even though it is a very good service to connect activities between web applications and to transfer data very effectively to other systems. For more smooth working problems, Zapier is critical. Check to see if it works for you. If you need help solving it, the support team will be there.

Zapier - Clicks not Code automation made easy

  • November 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier is integrated with many platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk, Gmail, etc). Creating connections between the two for various automations is intuitive and done completely declaratively. I was up and running with my first zap in about 30 minutes with testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Each step/line item when building your criteria isn’t as streamlined as it could be. It “looks” simple enough but the UI isn’t easy on the eyes when reviewing previous steps due to the way it presents your completed criteria in a clunky, uninformative way. It’s a great, easy to use tool, once you get past it’s UI or lack thereof. It needs to recap the actual actions per step better. Managing Zaps created by other admins becomes a headache.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapier has allowed me to share recurring emails by subject line within our instant messaging tool, allowing the team to collaborate on it within minutes of the email reaching the Admin inbox. The benefit realized is we can easily create our own integrations, rather than be confined to only the native functionality of our current products. What would require custom code is now simply done with zaps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The free version lets you use it with many limitations. It’s worth trying out. It started as a necessity but then we also began automating whatever we could due to its simplicity.

Zapier allows us to optimize and create efficiencies

  • November 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier's ability to connect with essentially all software, both third-party and our own custom built application, and take actions based on those software. This has allowed us to use Zapier with multiple other applications (Looker, AirTable, ZenDesk, SalesForce, AWS, Google Suite) to create and optimize workflows. Overall Zapier is very easy to use, intuitive, but does require some thought upfront on how to best structure a
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the internal zapier tools really need development knowledge / experience and it would be nice if they could design the tools for all departments and more lo-code so that different stakeholders can benefit and use, with less engineering resource requirements. Also, once multiple people are using, there quantum of zaps can get lost and then access control becomes a potential issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Operational problems - create process across different departments
Testing of product ideas - we can use zapier to quickly put together a process for marketing new products
Development - can use Zapier to affect code changes, up emails, etc.
Connecting software - we use zapier to send data across multiple platformd, and change data formats, create tasks, post notifications to slack, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you understand access rights and the data flowing through. Also, there is a lot of flexibility, between user Zapier built-tools or others (you can use Zapier tools to change formats or add code, or send an email or you can use outside applications to do so); don't over engineer to keep things simple. Also, define who can create and own the Zaps and related applications to ensure business continuity.

I love this platform.

  • November 08, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier will most likely automate it if you are doing routine tasks or have a repeatable procedure. In a smooth workflow, I like the ability to connect all applications and platforms. I am in sympathy with its relation to a number of interconnected networks, I encourage a constant mobility that allows for multiple outlets and a broader range of knowledge so that my organization can benefit from a pedagogical approach and we use different tasks to speed up the work. It offers very helpful means of integration and automation of the web applications which you are using, by putting these essential tasks together and linking them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is user-friendly, it must be naive to vital content, the accounts at the beginning of the session are disconnected for a reason that causes the system to disappear and the support doesn't have any possible means of helping, it must be possible to overcome this with other tools. I want a way to restore your changes or go back to your previous build, which is not currently possible. Often, you have an undo button. I was misled, too, that they have not yet been incorporated into Google Shared Drive, but I have no doubt that it is coming in the near future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated sales, HR, talent management , public relations, commercialization and more all repetitive activities or processes, which take much time. It operates primarily as an interconnection between various Platforms, taking into account its services for our daily users . In other words, it allows the extraction of data from one device to another. for mass marketing management to be done and thus sales actions to be increased.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In general, there are many uses that might be preferred in your environment as many connectors are available recommended for unknown startups extracted from this amazing program. Make sure you have the staff to manage it or you'll become a goal of QA, funding, and everything else, if you construct multiple systems and integrations. If you don't care, this can be a waste of time.

Zapier - easy integration for MOST items

  • November 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zapier is easy to use with minimal coding experience. Most items are well documented in Zapier how to do the integration and work. With most applications, it is EASY to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
(1) Zapier claims it FULLY integrates with QBO making so you never have to update invoices in QBO. However, Zapier does not pick up (from Infusionsoft) ANY changes in invoices (example, you have a carpet cleaning service that charges by SQFT. The customer estimates it is 1000 SQFT but when the tech arrives, it is 2000 SQFT. The invoice is modified in Infusionsoft, but that update NEVER goes to QBO. Second, in the help you are told to ensure your SKU's are matching between Infusionsoft and QBO (which is a good thing, as you can easily see SKU in both programs). However when you go to match, you have to figure out the product id (think of the serial number when you put the product in). This number is VERY difficult to find, and you can't search by SKU at all.
(2) Help is via EMAIL only and takes 2-3 days to get a response. There is no option for Chat to get to a resolution right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration of Infusionsoft with: EasyWebinar, Infusionsoft (this is weird ... see below), various LMS's.

Benefits:
- Infusionsoft to Infusionsoft: Infusionsoft does not give you the ability to reference a payment amount in an email. By using Zap you can have a custom field populated with the payment. (So Zap sees the payment, and takes the payment amount and places in the custom field that you can then reference in an email). This enables a notification to the company owner that a payment was made.

- IS - EasyWebinar: This allows accepting the payment through IS and then notifying EasyWebinar that this client paid, giving them access to the next webinar. It then sends the data back to IS telling the customers unigue link and id so they can enter the webinar. This enables us to send a variety of emails reminding people of their pending webinar and replay links AFTER the webinar.

- IS - Teachable: Enables accepting payments on Teachable, but sending reminders on easier to control IS.

- IS - Etsy: Enables sales recorded in Etsy to trigger thank you emails and follow up sales emails on IS.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read the ZAP exactly. Example: Infusionsoft to QBO reads moves NEW invoices to QBO. (So it does not update). They are VERY exact here ... and reading it as EXACTLY as they write it will save confusion later.

Amazing Resource

  • November 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of apps and software we are able to integrate together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the API and connections aren't the easiest to understand and have to do a lot of work-a-rounds
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to automate a lot of tedious processes saving us all time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to reach out to support for help

Connects all the technical dots!

  • November 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works with a ton of software. When I looked at the list of software it works with, I was just astounded. It can be used for simple tasks that involved moving data across different software and for more advanced implementations. I feel the cost and usage limits are also very reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a limit on how many actions we can use. I would like to see alternate pricing options since we sometimes rarely need to use it or use it for very minor modifications to our data flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can use Zapier to execute software actions that aren't easy to execute in the software that we connect to Zapier. We can reduce the amount of tasks are needed to compile data to execute tasks across different programs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look through the list of tasks examples to see how Zapier can improve your software integrations.

What do you like best about the product?
This software will easily pay for itself and more. It is such a time saver. It opens up endless possibilities to automate workflows and connect apps without code or developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get technical to achieve the outcome you need sometimes. It helps to be tech savvy to get full use of what the product can do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automate menial tasks. Update data between apps without the need for code or development help.
