MariaDB - Switching to mariaDb is easy with an open source feature
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing we talk about MariaDb is it has many several optimization techniques that tend to improve the performance, as it has better query performance.
It allows the parallel execution of commands resulting in multi processing and fast execution of the program.
It has an additional feature of thread pooling, a useful concept for the API.

So if bit description can be added than it will be more useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MariaDb has several powerful storage engines. Mariadb is very much compatible with the MySQL version which completely opens up the possibility for us to switch to Mariadb seemlessly without any change required in the source code ,like when there are performance issues with another relational database we can switch to MariaDb. An intersing features that mariadb supports is virtual columns, and with this virtusl columns we are capable of performing the calculations at the database level.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work bit on adding more detail to the errors dispayed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used MySQL based solutions for almost my entire career. This is a reliable product.
MariaDB: Best Open Source DB better than MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
The Development of MariaDB is more open and Vibrant as compared to MySQL and the simple reason is that MariaDB is open source while MySQL is owned by Oracle. Even the GitHub stats show that the number of contributors for MariaDB is way more than MySQL. The storage engines options are better in MariaDB since it excels in the number of storage engines and other plug-ins, most of the popular engines such as Connect, spider are part of the official releases where as in MySQL they are supported via Third party. MariaDB is compatible and easy to migrate i.e. it can easily get compatible to MySQL files.
What do you dislike about the product?
MariaDB should come up with better troubleshooting options e.g. GUI like SSMS for the SQL server. MariaDB is compatible with MySQL till 5.5 but it still lacks some of the features which were released with MySQL 5.6. It should work more on Fixing the replication issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MariaDB was our main Database server for our internal project management. Also It was used by our Infrastructure division for some management tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MariaDB is a good drop in replacement for MySQL, i use it everywhere instead of MySQL. It is well suited for medium scale business.
Great database tool

A simple improvement of MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
The price is also brilliant, that is, without disassembling Very aware of rescue statistics. Extremely solid to apply in production structures. The exceptional factor I appreciated about MariaDB is that it became very easy to research and use. Additionally, the new features are usually faster for MariaDB.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very difficult to discover what one dislikes about MariaDB, I suppose the reality is that it is not as scalable as the NoSQL counterparts. The scalability issues while the facts are in a larger range of TB. It is true for a centralized database and small to medium-sized configurations. Also, from time to time we have faced positive issues with information replication. Additionally, from time to time we face positive issues with data replication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for many other unique portions of the program. We use a MariaDB on our server to host a Data Warehouse. Additionally, many programs like Cloudera use MariaDB as a backend. Small applications from queries to ddbb This has allowed us to considerably reduce the amount of massive guide improvement that occurs by splitting HTML pages with common structures.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The update to MariaDB has made things much easier for me and for the students as well. Header, footer, etc. We use it as a database engine, which is found in all the famous Linux distributions for Drupal development, especially. MariaDB strives to be faster and more reliable than MYSQL.
MariaDB is a great alternative to vanilla MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
I like that MariaDB is maintained by a community-based foundation as opposed to being owned by a larger corporation, especially one that maintains another major relational database system, Oracle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks some of the more "fancy" features of other, more established relational databases like MSSQL and Oracle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MariaDB scales well and plugs into our PHP web application seamlessly, meets our needs and is easy to understand and administer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch to ensure that MariaDB doesn't fall too far behind MySQL, or at least "holds its own" in terms of its divergence from the original fork from MySQL
Simple yet powerful RDBMS system
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup & Maintenance. No licensing is cherry on the cake. Very responsive to ransactional data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scalability issues when the data goes in higher TB's range. Also, sometimes we have faced certain issues with data replication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of our metadata and lookup tables sits in Maria DB. Also, lot of softwares like cloudera uses Maria DB as backend
MariaDB review
What do you like best about the product?
Great open source DB with plenty of documentation. We use MariaDB exclusively for all our web projects. It uses mainly standard SQL statements, is easy to install, configure, and is well supported in terms of security updates. The price is also great (ie, free!).
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much although if I had to say one thing it would for a better GUI interface to view/edit/delete data. MySQLAdmin could use an interface update,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
