Organized and clean interface for managers
What do you like best about the product?
I like that files can now be managed separately, open and close tasks particularly. The updates in the memories are faster now. Interface is still very friendly and clean, which improves efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
Project analyzing times have improved, however it is quite often that memories are not being picked up correctly. Additionally it would be great to have more detailed information about updates as any changes in settings might have an impact on projects. Finally, I’d like that workbench could be more intuitive for newly onboarded linguists, using more commands or bold letter in the tabs or file names.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now XTM is solving the issue with cards for proofreading tasks for our vendors. We're still looking forward for them. As well as for the costs.
User friendly platform with great customer service
What do you like best about the product?
XTM Cloud is a very user-friendly and intuitive platform. It has multiple features that are very helpful to our translation workflows that make our daily work more productive. It makes it easy to onboard new users as the learning curve of the platform doesn't demand a highly skilled technical profile from users. As a translation company, it is important to us that our linguists rarely run into problems or concerns regarding the Workbench as the working tool is very convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are frequent updates performed on the platform that interrupt our workflows and occasionally introduce new bugs or malfunctions in the platform. The customer service is helpful but sometimes they can take a while to respond. Also, certain parts of the user experience can fill a little slow to respond. The quality reports tend to not work properly. There are several bugs with the calculations of LQA reports that make it difficult to get the accurate measures needed to evaluate the quality of our organization. Also, the general look of the platform doesn't feel as modern and responsive as other online services we use in our company. Sometimes it is very difficult to work on multiple projects at the same time when it comes to downloading LQA reports or project TMs, as the reports can't be generated in a batch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The LQA features and reporting are a crucial part of my daily work that occasionally don't work as expected. When reported to customer service, they solve it in no time, which is always appreciated! The reporting tools are a huge time-saver when it comes to generating monthly and quarterly quality reports for our clients and hopefully they will continue to be improved.
Impressive integration capabilities with multiple CMS
What do you like best about the product?
XTM provides multiple integration solutions to connect with websites using the most popular frameworks ensuring we will be able to offer our localization services to many of our clients. Technical support is also great with efficient communication and a really easy way to get projects started making it really easy to meet deadlines and expectations from clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downtime and server updates can feel very disruptive to our processes, luckily they are able to inform us of such operations well in advance so we can prepare and plan accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Extraction of content and publishing translations are converted from a manual and long process into a streamlined operation using the wide range of different CMS connectors XTM has available on the platform.
Great CAT tool for our company
What do you like best about the product?
XTM is easy to use, and the interface is user-friendly.
The support team is also quite responsive to help us set up various templates for our projects.
The business team is very friendly, which is much appreciated.
I've been using several CAT tools in my previous work experiences, and so far I'm really happy with XTM. I would totally recommend!

What do you dislike about the product?
Like with any (CAT) tool, there are some pros and cons. Among the "cons", I would say that some tickets took a while to get answered, and sometimes, the server is down and/or you simply can't access the tool, but it's usually fixed very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because we work on long-term projects, with very regular updates, XTM helps us to remain consistent in our translations, and therefore keep the focus on quality.

Responsiveness and clarity of the support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Main pain point is the lack of clear and comprehensive documentation. Not easy to fully understand how some features work unless you contact support with specific questions.
This is very inconvenient if we consider that the UI is at times unclear, and that some features are counter-intuitive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud localization of high volumes dealt with by a large pool of linguists worldwide, with direct connection/integration via API to our proprietary content management platform. The tool provides a single environment for project management and editing.
Routine actions take longer because they require several clicks and UI could be more intuitive.
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of unifying actions in one platform (queries, references, LQA feedback and arbitration, etc.).
What do you dislike about the product?
The strings filter is not intuitive and requires several clicks; the export of xliff files is also not intuitive and requires several clicks. The QA feature is not very helpful because there are several false positives and it is not reliable; the search and replace is not reliable, and often it is necessary to use external tools to make sure errors are identified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It unifies workflows and helps organize communication between teams.
Very good CAT tool that needs some minor fixes
What do you like best about the product?
I like the Visual preview feature and the possibility to download several formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that a hidden characters feature is not enabled and that login sessions tend to close very frequently (mainly without any apparent reason).

It helps unify a translation style for a consistent approach and deliver final quality without compromising time.
Highlights for PMs using XTM Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward to create users and select their roles, which will determine their access rights. Then, it is possible to customize the project workflows, and you can add or remove steps as needed. It is one of the most intuitive tools for Project Management compared with other tools, which mainly focus on language aspects. XTM Cloud covers both! And another advantage is that you can split the project into several parts as it best works for your planning with only one click. We've used it for traditional and non-traditional languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some customized versions allow you to download quotes. Extending some of these personalized features in the average version would be great.

We love that it allows you to split projects as needed.

The highly customisable workflow enabled each of our language teams to assign dedicated resources per content type
So much potential, but definitely let down from the start
What do you like best about the product?
The time savings potential of this connector is very appealing to us for our global WordPress clients. The connector promises to eliminate the manual back and forth needed with mass localization projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installing and configuring the connector proved to be a much more complex and time-intensive process than initially described. There were bugs and getting help from their support team took many days and a lot of back and forth.

The connector, when installed and working properly, promises to eliminate the time needed for manual back and forth with mass localization projects.
