Sometimes the translators don't see the project on there side to begin the translation.

allows us to use multiple translation companies but using only one tool to do so

The reports are very helpful in being able to see when a project has been opened. Being able to change the workflow is also useful

The ideal tool for translation management

What do you like best about the product?
We have been working with XTM since 2013, and can confirm that it is the ideal tool for translation management.
It is a very user-friendly application and users can familiarise themselves with it very quickly.
The option of creating filter templates means that documents can be pre-processed significantly faster.
XTM also offers interfaces for integrating numerous other applications, such as various MT engines for MTPE jobs.
It also comes with a very interesting and helpful Knowledge Base, and “XTM on demand” is particularly useful by offering a large number of recorded webinars on a host of subjects. And the Support always responds quickly if ever a question or problem arises.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I found the manual a bit intricate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project managers can effortlessly maintain an overview of their projects, including extensive, complicated projects entailing numerous target languages and file formats, or involving various work steps and a large number of freelancers. Documents can be split or grouped together, and when time frames are restricted, then two or more translators can simultaneously work on the same document.

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of automations and features that help project managers, linguists and developers. Generally TMS seem to be made for one of those three groups, but XTM tries to cater for all of them. It's a really good tool in general, with more than just the basic functions you'd expect.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that we miss: An easy query system for linguists that allow linguists of all languages to see questions and answers for a specific segment. The statistics show word counts based on target text but we pay our team based on source word count, so we get a lot of questions each month. The reporting section is not working reliably, there is definitely some room for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's the best TMS we've found. Compared to the tool we used before, the templates and automation options available are saving us a ton of time and mindless work.

Great and easy to use CAT tool

What do you like best about the product?
- The ease of use.
- The reliable translation memory. Isn't that the essence of a CAT tool after all?
- The overall look of the platform. It supports long hours of work.
- The ease of adding new terms to terminology.
- The option to import translation memory. It's a straightforward and helpful process that I love using.
- XTM is designed with the linguist in mind.
- The useful filters.
- The ability to create personal shortcuts for different symbols. This feature is so practical in french!
- The ease of exporting source and target files in their original format rather than XLIFF.
- The team is always listening and looking for ways to improve.
- Customer service is available for queries, and they reply very quickly.
- I highly recommend XTM. It's one of the best tools on the market. There are many more features I love about this tool. Let's just say I like everything about XTM.
What do you dislike about the product?
- My experience using it on Firefox is seamless. However, on Chrome and Edge, I get signed out automatically after a certain amount of time. I'm working with customer service to figure out the setting to adjust in Chrome.
- I hope that soon enough they'll give us the opportunity to integrate tools like Antidote (at least for French) to help spot all spelling, typography and grammatical errors.
- I'd prefer a one-time subscription fee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a translation memory that is reliable. It allows me to avoid repetitive work and to save time, plus it saves money to the customer.

What do you like best about the product?
XTM GUI is as easy as understanding smooth services specifications, XTM support is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now i haven't faced dislike thing but my request is please resolve the issue on time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization hole predictions would depend on the XTM cloud. If we get smooth services, it could be better.

What do you like best about the product?
That it is vendor agnostic, it provides us the flexibility to work with multiple Language Service Providers without having to opt for their individual licences
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the connectors need to be built as an out-of-box solution when it comes to integrating XTM with external tools. This requires additional cost and effort
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in harmonizing the translation and localisation needs of our company into a single unit instead of having multiple approaches and tools to do the translation

What do you like best about the product?
The friendly support team in Poland. I appreciate the quick replies and detailed answers. Everyone is knowledgeable, and working with them on ongoing tickets is a pleasure.
What do you dislike about the product?
We continue to wait for developments and fixes on the existing features we are utilizing. Version updates always result in bugs on our instance, and we spend time dealing with reporting from freelancers. So we've started looking for possible solutions outside XTM (in the same way our freelancers may be self-tracking their work).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM is the only TMS we currently use and houses all our TMs and TBs. It handles the high volume of localization tasks while being connected via API to our internal systems, and plays a significant role in continuously updating our product pages on our website.

1. Can't save projects to start I left off. It quits and I have to redo everything all over again.

2. Not being able to have LSPs download Excel Multilanguage or Excel extended tables.

3. Search function in Workbench, not ideal.

4. Project Watcher, not very good and effective process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralization. It makes my daily job more effecient and effective.
