All features in one place

  • December 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
XTM makes it possible to manage everything efficiently. I appreciate that we can handle all our various localization workflows in a single platform as our workflows are quite diverse and need significant customization. Additionally, we utilize all the supporting features in XTM, including translation memory management, termbases, and business reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don’t have a localization engineer or a highly tech-savvy localization specialist, you may need to depend more on the XTM Support team to fully utilize all the customization features in XTM. The interface can become overwhelming at times because there are so many features in XTM, especially if you are new to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use XTM to localize various types of content, from software and marketing materials to customer experience content. This allows us to integrate XTM with all our company's CMS platforms, streamlining and automating localization workflows. Our automation covers processes such as machine translation as well as the management of highly creative content.

Great tool with a lot of features and customization

What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility. You can do projects for all departments in your company, each with its format and customization. The number of formats supported is very good too. Connectivity with other tools is appreicated. The support is quite reactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be too complex sometimes to find what you want. And bugs. We have an issue that is fixed and came back for the third or fourth time in a few years, for example. Bust most if the times, the support helps us and keeps us posted on updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On my particular side, not on the company level then, XTM helped me go from manual translation in files, with track changes in the source to find the updates to a translation memory that helps a lot. I enjoy not to have to open each file manually and check and delete the track changes, commit to GitHub. Now all that has change and has been automated! I also added the role of project manager on my responsibilities and it's very easy to handle with XTM.

What do you like best about the product?
Instant ICE matching, term pane down right and fuzzy matches down left.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the Find and Replace feature needs to display all the segments with the terms to be found at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM Cloud helps me work from anywhere at anytime.

Too complex, too expensive

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Feature rich, and traditional TM management and cleanup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Poor, very poor customer support. Our CTO was put in touch with a ex translator that might have knows XTM from the point of view of a translator but he had no clue on how to customise the system to parse come of the string content correctly. Advance communication with support was a pain.

Too expensive for our use.
We are a startup in the tech sphere with some content for localisation but not much.
The first sales guy we spoke with understood this and accommodated pricing accordingly. A year later he had left and we were invoice 5 times the same amount. No one had the intelligence to renew the former pricing, we thus left XTM for crowdin. A great move in all aspects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TM related data was rich, which facilitated clean-up.

    Translation and Localization

Excellent Translation Management System

  • March 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate XTM because it allows you to manage and automate your localization program through a single platform. You can create and customize your workflows, and oversee every phase of the localization process on it. Additionally, it offers many additional features that can greatly support the localization team in obtaining metrics and KPIs, and provides a range of connectors that aid in automation and integration with other CMSs.
The Customer Support team has consistently demonstrated a willingness to assist and has provided valuable support in resolving issues encountered during our migration from our previous TMS to XTM.
What do you dislike about the product?
While XTM offers many valuable features for managing localization projects, I have found the user experience (UX) to be less intuitive than expected. Some aspects of the platform, such as navigation and interface design, could be improved to enhance usability and efficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Given the multitude of TMSs within our organization, we found XTM to be the optimal solution for centralizing all content and translation efforts onto a single platform. XTM facilitated this consolidation, enabling the creation of a unified Translation Memory accessible across teams.

What do you like best about the product?
XTM Cloud is a complete TMS that meets all of our localization requirements:
- Centralized TM (Real-Time TM sharing) and terminology integration
- Workflow Management
- Templates
- Powerful reporting
- Integrated Machine translation engines
- Great Customer support
- etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup can be a bit daunting, but we were supported throughout the configuration by XTM product specialists and were provided training on a regular basis to get us going.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all, XTM is Cloud based and is ideal for our team which is distributed across several continents.
Since the 10 years since we've been using XTM, they have evolved to adapt to the ever changing needs of the Localization industry and our specific needs by providing ever more connectors, third-party integrations, popular features, etc.
In practice, this means that whatever file format, CMS, Machine translation or VCS you're using, you can be confident XTM will have a solution. And if not, they can also develop customized features, so don't hesitate to get in touch with them should the need arise!

XTM Cloud gives you control

  • July 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
XTM Cloud is a versatile system that allows the admins to tailor it to their liking, down to the smallest details. It can feel a little overwhelming at first, but once you dig into it, you'll come to appreciate the amount of control you have. It's simple and intuitive for linguists to use while giving them a lot of adjustment options as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The available customisation options can feel overwhelming at first and the system takes some studying to get the most out of it. However, I would much rather have the options available than to simplify the system and lose control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM Cloud allows us to concentrate the vast majority of our translation tasks in one place so the linguists don't need to learn to navigate multiple different systems. It offers us the possibility to use machine translation to help us out, and it creates translation memories of everything we translate, so we're both faster and more consistent. We use it mainly internally, but we've also added some external freelancers to the system so we can translate texts without needing to give externals access to our internal systems.
