Working in XTM has changed our workflows and processes for the better

What do you like best about the product?
XTM makes it very easy to share projects between team members, freelance translators and customers. We no longer have to send out packages to the translators and word files to the customer for review. Everything happens in the same environment and all changes are automatically logged by the system. It is therefore very easy to go back and check who made a change.
The visual editor also makes it a lot easier for the translators and reviewers as they can see what they are doing. Colors used to be an issue because there was no way to see what was being meant if multiple colors were combined. Now everyone can see these colors in the visual editor and the issue no longer exists.
It is also an easy tool to learn. We have learned multiple people who have never worked in a CAT tool how to use XTM in a few hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes longer to generate bigger files as we work on the cloud which is shared by multiple customers.
If there is an issue with XTM or a server goes down, everything stops and we have to wait until the servers are back. Luckily support is very quick about this and tries to resolve this as soon as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we had, was that we were sending too many mails and using too much time sending packages with translation files in to translators or reviewers. With XTM cloud we can very easily put everything in one workflow and once that one is started, everyone is notified automatically once their task is activated. There is no longer a need to send multiple e-mails to everyone involved.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about XTM is the adaptability of the TM within the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far all area are working as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM is assisting us in lowering our translation with providing us the ability to have a repository for past translated words

What do you like best about the product?
What I love about XTM is that it is vendor-agnostic. Any of my LSPs can log in and translate, or download an XLF bundle and translate offline.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a while to generate previews with really large files, but that is to be expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM has centralized all of my company's localization efforts in one place so we get the benefits of leverage, reuse and cost savings.

What do you like best about the product?
Being an XTM Multitenant Cloud user presents cons and pros. The apparent advantage is on the maintenance side since all users can explore new features as soon as they become available in a managed and controlled release. Frequent XTM updates allow for keeping the platform at its best efficiency without intervention from the tenant side.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being an XTM Multitenant Cloud user presents some disadvantages in launching Projects in XTM. Sometimes it causes quite a significant delay in the Analysis phase and before the projects to become available for further processing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM is an enterprise platform that connects with our CMS and vendor's system, allowing transferring of content without manual intervention. Content that resides in our CMS can automatically, through APIs, transition into XTM and back with no additional manual actions needed.

Nice tool but could be even more neutral

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is lean and pleasant, you can personalize workflow from detailed/manual to highly automated, it is vendor-neutral and translators are not obliged to use it. Easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are not available to translators who work offline: not possible to create hybrid projects mixing offline and online without losing the possibility to modify text format. The PM view could be improved (cannot drag projects to show the ones I want first). Would be nice to reanalyze just one file and/or language.
For AI integration: I would like to add not only the general Deepl version, but also the specialized ones, for ex. the Legal translations Deepl version, and to activate it on some projets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They have created some specific macros for me to treat atypical files for some customers. In general, the customer service is very quick and offers timely solutions.

What do you like best about the product?
XTM cloud have really extensive REST API that allows to connect to the XTM system for various reasons and systems
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the most challanging part is that sometimes changes in the client tenancy is not visible in vendor tenancy, so it's not possible to implemnent all the automations we would like to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
XTM allows me to connect there by the API and automate the processes

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about XTM is its flexibility. It is built with customisation at the core, you can really set it up in a granular way and the settings are adjustable at all levels - default, per client, AND for individual projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little slow sometimes with certain files
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to apply TM matches to all projects, centralising all our work into a safe and secure environment, and workflow automation have improved team productivity

What do you like best about the product?
- It focuses on features specific to localization. You can tell that localization is at the heart of the product.
- It's fairly affordable compared to other TMSs in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
- There are almost too many settings/options that it's not always even clear what you can or can't do.
- Project management features are severely lacking. The dashboard is not very useful.
- Reporting is very confusing and not very customizable.
- The UI is unappealing.
- The time to receive support for an issue is way too long.
- Requesting new features feels pointless as they will take at least half a year to build or even consider building them.
- The amount of related websites/URLs and their associated login credentials is cumbersome (the platform, On Demand, Support, etc.) I don't know why everything can't be in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a central location to process and store all of our translations across teams, content types, and vendors.

What do you like best about the product?
Breadth of functionality. Workflow flexibility. APIs. Customizable, Easy Markup of Do Not translate text.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inline tags can be very burdensome, sometimes even for documents that seem to be light on formatting.

Having to create a dummy customer and export /import tmx files in order to produce a customized memory.

Issues with the metrics when re-running a file through workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use of Translation memory is the main solution. Around that the customizable workflows are very useful.

This is an essential TMS / CAT tool function which is a basic requirement of a LSP.

Ability to process Word, Excel, PowerPoint, XML, and other technical file formats is essential.
