Out of data and hard to manage
What do you like best about the product?
This tool was hard to manage, and we are glad that we no longer have to support it in our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to manage. No parsers ever available for new products we would wish to send logs for. Every feature request or parser request turned into a Pay to uprgade instance. The interface is from the 80s, and hard to find everything.

Trellix Enterprise Security Manager detects threats based on the rule engine and alerts us for any kind of threats. It can help detect the ongoing threats and mitigate them.

What do you like best about the product?
The thing that I like best about MVISION ePO is how it helps me managed my McAfee Solutions in our organization. It helps me automate our organization workflows thus reducing the time and task that is needed for the investigation and triaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside that I dont like about mvision ePO is how complicated it is to configure especially if you don't have any necessary training with regards to this solution.

Value for money for Mid-market segment
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is good value for money for the mid-market segment. It is not as mature and doesn't have third-party OEM information on processing the logs or making some information out of Logs like its competitors such as Splunk, Datadog etc but still for the miod market segment whose aim is point products. The requirement is quite simple, is it reliable able to provide a response to query and store/collect the logs reliably - that is can do with 99.9999% availability which is good enough for them.
What do you dislike about the product?
They have kept this product in a cvery close loop instead of partnering with other third-party vendors who ghenerate these logs. If they have solid relationship or have a way to process the information better, avoiding false positives then the tool could have better market share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are loads of data that my organisation is producing and we don't know where the problem is, especially when we are talking about intermittent issues. For such issues, McAfee Enterprise Log Search has been of great help.

- It can improve the appearance to make management simpler, despite having a simple interface for end users, the management is quite cumbersome.

What do you like best about the product?
The McAfee Enterprise Log Manager is easy to use and there are suitable options for creating dashboards and alarms. THe visibility is clear and effecient for checking at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configuration UI is very back dated and super annoying to maneuver. The windows are mostly non scrollable which makes it difficult to find out one source among hundreds.

McAfee Enterprise Log Manager is collecting all the logs from all of our servers and network devices and applications so that we have a aggregated visibility and respond to any incident accordingly.

What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is the application control and ENS. We have implemented the solution according to the specific requirements of the customer to protect their data. We check the applications for any ransomware types so that unauthorized applications cannot be executed or installed on the servers without proper permission.
What needs improvement?
There is room for improvement in the pricing model. The price could be a bit lower.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Trellix for the past eight to ten years. We still have customers using this solution.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. The product works fine.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution. I would rate it an eight out of ten. It depends on the system environment and worked fine for us. Moreover, this solution works on servers only, so we have over 25 to 30 customers.
How are customer service and support?
Regarding technical support, our team is also highly skilled in this area, so most of the time, when we need assistance with implementing policies or configuring the product, we rely on support from the OEM. They usually respond within one or two days. Moreover, if we call them, they can quickly establish a remote session and help us resolve the problem.
The support has been reliable and efficient for us.

How was the initial setup?
It is very easy to use. There are no complications. I would rate it around nine. It took about half an hour to set up the server and client environment, ensuring proper deployment with application control on one machine.
Moreover, it's usually deployed on the cloud. We primarily use cloud platforms like Envision and IZO Cloud Platform.
What about the implementation team?
The deployment process usually takes less than an hour. Two people are required for the deployment process.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I would rate it a seven out of ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price. Trellix doesn't charge any additional costs. It's a single license. Trellix has three solutions: standard, enterprise, and advanced. Mostly, we recommend the advanced solution.
What other advice do I have?
The customers really want protection against unauthorized applications running on their servers. They should avoid installing any unknown source and use Trellix Cloud Workload Security for the best solution in workload security. It includes DNS with ransomware protection. With this, they can have complete protection for their servers.
Additionally, any solution working with the database should implement change control. So, if any changes are made on the database side, they should be resolved and verified to ensure they are not made by any unknown source. This is the best solution we suggest to customers who want granular control to protect their servers. It's easy to deploy with a single agent.
Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten because policy designing is very easy too. And the manageability is very easy. You can easily manage it through EPO and deploy policies within five to ten minutes. No issues with that.

Love that you can view all managed and unmanaged devices and have the ability to push out products to both types of devices.
