Anaplan for Sales is a cloud based sales automation solution for marketing business.
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan for Sales has produced an amazing results in the sales forecast because it is used for marketing and all of its tools are perfectly assembled. We can also get the benefit from the marketing communication which builds a reliable relation among team members and clients. It has the great ability to see prospects engaged far past the standard email tracking tool. Anaplan for Sales also easily allow us to open the different pages at in a single platform because it has a great electronic integration capability that all comes together to reduce speed bumps in the sales process. Anaplan for Sales has all packed features with the great integration and it also provides the great customer support for our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback about this software is that the setup and customization process of Anaplan for Sales is not very simple because of its difficult functions. Anaplan for Sales features are very difficult to share via real-time mobile and email alerts every time proposals are viewed or forwarded. In addition, Anaplan for Sales software cannot create a content repository for swift access to relevant knowledge resources requisite to create sales proposals. The main drawback about this tool is that Anaplan for Sales does not come with any additional instructions on addition of any new features which puts forward a steep learning curve for the new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan for Sales is a cloud-based sales automation solution that enables sales professionals to pitch, propose and close deals. It can help create online presentations, design proposals, manage contracts and analyze contract performance. I am using it daily for marketing automation for different marketing campaigns for different team members and I found this platform very helpful and amazing. Anaplan for Sales is best for team management because I can easily manage my team and business also it has great reporting functionality to customize the deals in a very effective way.

What do you like best about the product?
Our project was really complex, we decided to integrated 6 models (Sales Budget, RFQ, Investment Budget, P&L and Balance Sheet Budget and PMT, medium long term plan). So the goal was not to realize 6 models, but to create the integration between them. GOAL OBTAINED

The is linked with users and not with performance

What-if analyses ... that used to take a day are

Great tool to manage sales forecast - easy to use !
What do you like best about the product?
I used Anaplan as a budgeting and forecasting tool to track MRR and ARR for a team of relationship managers. The fact that all relevant information is at your fingerprints to manage your forecasts with confidence.
You could also change the growth rate/growth method based on real time information, rather than rely only on historical data.
Also, you could connect your sales opportunities/stage from Salesforce to Anaplan, which will immediately adjust your forecast. Tons of really great functionality at your fingertips!

What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple tabs often times caused the software to slow down.
When looking at data from tableau, software can be very slow, but not quite sure if it was an Anaplan issue or a server issue on our end.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to resolve the disconnection between our budgeting/forecasting mechanisms and our sales opportunities from Salesforce. As managers, we wanted to make every sales person accountable for their MRR /ARR forecast, while being able to make changes in real time, review, make adjustments based on seasonality or specific events affecting our customers, etc.

Anaplan for modeling
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of Anaplan is fantastic. I like being able to have control of my model and make changes myself rather than having to work through our IT change process. Also the visibility into the components of our models is something we never had before moving to Anaplan. This helps us ensure our projections are more accurate and accepted by the Sales organization
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan is it's own unique language. If you have no experience with it you have to plan on a learning curve and can't simply "Google it". You need to be willing to invest the time and effort into learning the material so it can be frustrating at times when you get stuck and there aren't a lot of quick, widely available, support options

Our industry experiences rapid change and we want to be able to plan and support that direction.
Solid program, strong analytical features
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to customize the tool to easily extract the data necessary to make decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Simple features that excel has are not present in Anaplan. For example, highlighting two cells with numerical values doesn't sum the cells.

Using Anaplan to create a collaborative sales forecast across multiple parties.

it's very flexible in what you want to report and model. currently we only use it for revenue and bookings reporting/modeling but definitely interested in other areas

everything must be defined, but this is why it's so flexible.

what ifs in modeling, but having the flexibility to do it quickly.

Dynamic work space, information is available the instant changes are made.

Difficulty in formatting reports, could be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating and consolidating planning financial statements from Corporate to Business Unit and Department levels. Gained visibility into more the performance of the lower departments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have reports that you are attempting to create in Anaplan created in Excel, allows you to evaluate and plan the model before building.

What do you like best about the product?
Personalized dashboard on a per employee basis, providing an abundance of information pertaining to an array of policies, contracts, dashboards, etc. It's essentially a one-stop shop for most things finance/payroll related, being able to effectively view and report on my compensation plans, my targets, my performance, my payroll information, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does require an Administrator to configure things properly on the back-end to be able to effectively utilize the tool (which I'm lucky to have) but perhaps a little more friendly of a UI so a training session to use the system isn't necessarily a necessity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping every employee up to speed regarding their payment plans, where they are on that plan to date, payout information, etc. Especially working on a sales team like myself, knowing these compensation details is paramount.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A great centralized tool, allowing all information pertaining to payroll, contracts, compensations, etc. to be detailed on a per employee basis, and accessible right at one's fingertips.
Great product for planning
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to automate planning processes and take excel to the next level. Once you set up the anaplan model, it provides you with the ability to analyze your plans and data and make changes on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup is a huge hurdle. You need a model builder dedicated to the on-going maintenance and evolution as business processes change.
