Ansible is user friendly and user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The playbook and event driven automatons

More tutorials can be provided for someone who is new

it easily syncs up with GitHub and maintains version control

I don't like that you can't export inventories easily

It helps me with configuration control
It's an improvement on Tower, but still needs work
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with git is excellent and invaluable for easy maintenance of playbooks. Secrets management is trustworthy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup/configuration is overly complicated, and navigation in the GUI can be unfriendly and the terminology jargony, even for those with a lot of experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of my team is fairly proficient in Ansible, so this, combined with git, allows us to use each other's playbooks, and it ensures that our most-frequently-used playbooks are kept up-to-date. As with all automation, the primary problem is the ever-increasing expectation of productivity and perfection.
Used Ansible for a decade
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and easy to deploy. I have been able to integrate with numerous other products to resolve issues before the customer knows there is an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
not really anything but apparently I have to type something here
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently I am resolving massive audit needs for out auditing department and minimizing admin time by 40 hours a week.
Out with the old in with the Ansible
What do you like best about the product?
Playbooks greatly simplify Day 2 operations that are otherwise trickier to maintain ad hoc
What do you dislike about the product?
Proprietary definitions will always make widespread use a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Significantly reduces the time it takes to do patching across all of our VM environments.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Role based access control to fine tune who has access to what, Event driven Ansible automation response, credential security, scheduling
What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity of setup and k8/docker requirements, otherwise no major dislikes.

Deployment and day 2 configurations for our RHEL and Windows systems being deployed

What do you like best about the product?
It provides security for managing keys and pass phrases, allows many users to run templates, and provides a great work flow to run playbooks. AAP makes it easy to run ansible playbooks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice for templates to be organized in a better manner. Now they are all listed on a single page and requires searching.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help automate deployments and configurations to make them consistent and repeatable.
Comprehensive support and intergration
What do you like best about the product?
Red Hat offers comprehensive support for Ansible. Ansible is fantastic and automating our infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ansible can have a steep learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ansible allows us to automate our virtual machine deployment.
Ansible Automation Platform has been the most flexible platform for automation journey

The flexibility of Ansible as a tool has been very helpful as it hasn't limited us to interacting with current tooling across our environment, and instead has allowed us to write automation against any tools quickly and easily, often with a pre-built module.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of dynamic survey inputs or a more user focused portal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Server build automation, server decommission, moving data across networks to offline networks, task scheduling and execution
Easy to deploy in test and development environments on a single server.
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy it was to deploy on top of RHEL 9.
By leveraging the single server Ansible playbook for deployment, I was up and running with in hours.

Newer releases seem more difficult to deploy on single server setups.
