An accessible tool to enhance internal and public data
What do you like best about the product?
Opendatasoft is very well characterized by its ease of use and intuitive interface, which allow even non-technical users to create and share datasets for later publication. I particularly appreciate the richness of the available visualization formats, which promote a better understanding of the data. The platform also facilitates interoperability through its APIs, which is an asset for implementing automatic processing for the use of data present in Opendatasoft. The support and guidance from the publisher in the face of sometimes more complex questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the weaknesses of the platform can be the cost, which may be a barrier for small organizations or communities with limited budgets. Although the platform is very efficient for structured datasets, it sometimes shows its limitations for more complex cases requiring advanced processing or extensive customization of interfaces. This point is part of the future developments of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform simplifies the centralization and publication of data from heterogeneous sources, which saves considerable time in the data provisioning process. This is particularly beneficial in entities where data is often dispersed among different departments.
A simple, complete, powerful service for organizing controlled data circulation
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and implementation, with no constraints on the solution's power (APIs, widgets, data quality processes, etc.). The deployment of the service in a sovereign cloud is reassuring. The solution is constantly evolving, and rapidly integrates new functionalities (vector search and AI, data linearization, etc.) resulting from dynamic R&D. The teams are highly accessible, experts in their field and quick to put customers in touch with each other to create synergies and federate a community. The solution therefore generates high added value, and the cost/benefit ratio is largely positive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price of the solution has risen significantly over the last few years, and the pricing model is complex and does not allow for easy, independent estimation of future costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Opendatasoft enables us to efficiently expose our data in opendata, by offering different export formats and, natively, APIs. This SAAS-based service gives us, the department in charge of the data, a high degree of autonomy (compared with IT departments), resulting in a more responsive and relevant service for our users.

What do you like best about the product?
Open Data soft is easy to use, intuitive, and makes data accessible to everyone. The platform facilitates data processing to present it in a way that is more suited to needs. It allows for the creation of visualizations to make data interpretation easier. The centralization in the hub makes all public data from different portals accessible in a single environment, which simplifies searches.
In case of issues, the support is very responsive and provides solutions to resolve problems.
Portal administrators are always informed of changes and developments on ODS.

It would be good to improve the possibilities on the Studio.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and administer, powerful API, good documentation, great customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
For complex applications, a knowledge of web design (CSS, HTML) is needed. For simpler visualisations there is a no - code option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We developed a web app to navigate nature recovery options. We open sourced our nature recovery strategy and also publish many regional datasets to support stakeholders.

Opendatasoft are continually developing their product and services, taking on feedback and autonomously exploring ideas. This keeps them at the front. The backoffice is easy and intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to say here. They are a good company to work with.

Opendatasoft provides a one stop shop for open data and data sharing activities. This helps reduce the number of inbound contacts to our organisation, as well as customer satisfaction, as users can self serve some of their data needs.

Data Visualization: Raw data can be difficult to interpret and understand. Opendatasoft's platform includes data visualization tools that allow users to create interactive charts, graphs, maps, and other visual representations of data.
