Working with SuperAnnotate has been a game-changer for our data collection pipeline
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to select various data labeling teams from within their platform and seamlessly evaluate them is very convenient. The labeling tool's flexibility and features make it one of the most powerful annotation tools on the market. The team's responsiveness and the assignment of dedicated project managers allow SuperAnnotate to handle very complex annotation projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I identified minor UI features that were inefficient, but those were quickly taken into account and optimized by their product team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SuperAnnotate helped solve numerous challenges that involve complex annotation projects that vary in scale and time sensitivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have reviewed numerous data collection companies, and SuperAnnotate has the most complete toolset and features for a modern data collection pipeline.
Great UI, operability with our backend and team
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the platform. At Ellipsis Earth, we have both technical and non-technical users interacting with SuperAnnotate dashboards and SDKs. They're both super happy with the platform, support staff and the impact it is having on our ability to scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major. There have been some initial and very minor limitations on the SDK, which were resolved quickly by their supporting team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated the ability to train existing and add new classes at speed by syncing our AI training platform with SuperAnnotate. Previously this was a manual process for our team.
Loved the simple UI and Semantic Segmentation along with vector is a really appreciated bonus!
What do you like best about the product?
In comparison to other platforms, I find SuperAnnotate to be extremely simple to use. One of the best things about this platform is semantic segmentation. Most annotation platforms we had experience on do not offer pixel based image annotations. I absolutely love the smart prediction feature in the pixel editor which hugely increases our speed and also provides a benchmark for monitoring edges of any instances. In vector-based classification works, the eyedropper tool is pretty useful, boosting up the speed by more than 2x.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics does not show the instance count per annotator directly. The analytics is only based on total working hours, it would be helpful if we could filter out work based on each day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SuperAnnotate is the go-to platform for our annotator workforce since it is an enabler of speed. This goes beyond just algorithmic efficiency on part of the platform as we have tried out a few and helped us win our fair share of pilots in competitive environments due to the speed contribution. The way SuperAnnotate positioned its many tools is suitable for quick uptake for annotators. Nearly 90% of all our CV datasets are annotated using it. Some of the key benefits are ease of use with the UI, smooth and organized work tools, and pixel-based image annotation capabilities as well. In a nutshell, the tool just ‘works’!

What do you like best about the product?
SuperAnnotate took great care during the pilot process to ensure annotations met our needs. They extended our trial until they had an understanding of what features were essential and in scope, worked with us to create a clear and concise annotation guide, and consistently checked in to confirm they were still on track with each batch of outputs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of submitting annotation guidelines occurred through a template form, which meant we had to recreate our existing instructions in the new format before uploading. However, this was only a mild inconvenience since they dedicated a team member to assist with the transition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our university lab researches how to detect modifications of printed circuit boards by analyzing optical images of their surface. The process involves locating each surface-mount device (SMD) in the image (e.g., resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.) and ensuring their specifications are within required tolerances. However, meeting the goal of component-by-component assurance involves training complex neural networks on a significant amount of labeled ground truth data. We reached out to several annotation services, and SuperAnnotate was the only one confident to handle large, high-resolution images with hundreds or thousands of complex SMD footprints. Through their platform and QA pipeline, we have obtained enough annotations to kickstart our machine learning processes and move toward the goal of hardware-level PCB assurance.

SuperAnnotate is a great platform for annotation and training, it reduces considerable time in the process of annotating images.
What do you dislike about the product?
That in the future the number of types of deep neural networks increase and the insertion of regression.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently I use it for segmenting sheep images, the Super Annotate assists in the process of annotating images in which the tool increases productivity in the annotation process.

Ask for help with SuperAnnotate support, they are super attentive and assist in the process of understanding the tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Annotation of hundreds of thousands of images for computer vision models.
Great tool for fast annotation and annotator efficiency, instant tool support from the team.
What do you like best about the product?
We were able to annotate 1000-1200 images a day which wasn't possible with any other tool we had shortlisted which were costlier. The care and the follow up/tot from the customer support team was extremely good and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
For download in coco format, we could not parallelly prepare all 3 types of task types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to create an object detection software, which requires a lot of images to be annotated so that we can teach our model to be as accurate as possible.

We have been using their platform for quite some time and I must take this opportunity to congratulate them for the kind of support they provide along with a fine platform that thrives to grow every single day.The support team maintains an availability around the clock as they have srategically place their offices in different time zones. What do you dislike about the product?
We raised a few issues with the support team and we found that they are already working on those features..say not to have annotator's ids in the SA Output and we would love to see the identity of annotators(like who annotated a specific image) from the QA profile, currently this feature is available in the Admin profile....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A fine work flow management enables us to maintain large teams, almost all types of annotation and the features offered helps us to design a project and to execute it.

What do you like best about the product?
The tooling is very intuitive and enables very accurate pixel-level annotations. Especially once you develop an approach and rhythm for how to annotate a specific project, you can move very quickly and accurately. I particularly like the paintbrush tool and some of the "behind the scenes" functionality that enables you to move through repetitive, overlapping regions quickly.
They are always making improvements to further improve the workflow, tooling, and overall process so if something doesn't exist today, it might very shortly. Their support team is also very helpful when we run into issues.
The ability to upload from a local source or s3 is very helpful.
There's a lot of cool functionality which we haven't had the need to use (for video and pose labeling, for example), but it looks really efficient.
