Great tool for statistical analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is user friendly. The tool is widely accepted and hence can be cited in the articles. It enhances the value of the data.
I like the software for its easy data analysis and graphical representation.
I like the software for its easy data analysis and graphical representation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is not available for free and highly expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis.
The statistical analysis of huge data becomes easy with this user friendly software. The plots and graphical representation looks formal.

Good experience
What do you like best about the product?
Decent front end experience - this is definitely ideal for someone who like being able to make customizable reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automated metadata isn't always useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Weve used this is the healthcare sector for predictive modeling
Easy to use for quick and more difficult analyses
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is pretty straight forward to operate. It’s easy to save syntax to use for future analyses as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it can be kind of particular about the structure of the data, but that’s kind of to be expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a research assistant, it’s pretty integral to the work that we do. It helps us run quick analyses for brief meeting updates, but is also the main software for more in depth analyses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SPSS is clean, pretty easy to use statistic software if you're new to using stats software or want it to run more complicated analyses than excel can easily run, but not too difficult. Another great thing about it is that many people have used it, so there are all sorts of resources online.
Great tool to use for biostatistics
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve used SPSS for about 4 years now and can’t imaging using any other software to analyze data. Very user-friendly & easy to install set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I’ve never had an issue with it, but I wish it wasn’t so pricey!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM SPSS statistics to analyze survey data, data extracted from ActiLife, UV Illuminance recording devices, etc.
Review of SPSS
What do you like best about the product?
SPSS is a good statistical software for all your basic analytical needs. I must emphasize only basic statistics. The data editor is one of the favorite features of SPSS. The design is also user-friendly and straightforward. It is good for people who are new to statistical software due to its extreme ease of use visually without syntax (although you can also use it). In version 25, they have included Bayesian analysis (although quite limited), which has been an excellent decision due to its extreme ease of application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fundamental limitation is the limited flexibility when it comes to performing complex statistical analyses. Software like R, Stata, or SAS are more useful in this regard. Another limitation is that it is quite expensive for what it offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SPSS to analyze qualitative survey data aimed at answering research questions oriented towards social and behavioral health.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SPSS is a very easy-to-use program and is perfect for beginners starting in statistical analysis. Later on, however, I would recommend moving towards other more complex statistical programs like Stata, Mplus, or R (the latter two are the ones I recommend the most).
I support the product indirectly.
What do you like best about the product?
It is used for backend reporting and clients have been pleased with the speed in which ad hoc reports can be generated.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve on the product seems to be steeper compared to other reporting tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving ad hoc reporting requests and creating database dashboards.
One of the best statistical programs
What do you like best about the product?
The statistical program SPSS is the main program we use for data storage and processing. In a simple way, it allows adding data and enables the use of a wide variety of tests and trials for analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The program can be complex the first few times it is used, as it is not very intuitive. However, with each update, they improve the interface. Another negative point is the lack of ease it offers when adding data, as it does not allow "dragging" cells, something that is allowed in other simpler programs like Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM SPSS Statistics allows us in the company to analyze data from samples and collections conducted, and its easy organization and the extensive existing tests facilitate the task.
Extensive and accessible help modules plus a simple interface makes this program easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
This program has stayed very consistent throughout the 7 years I have used it and the menus have most everything involving data analytics that I could want. Various statistical methods and conditions are easy to select between and I love that the output box has a linked outline to easily find the test result you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Statistical outputs can sometimes have a lot of extraneous information that does nothing but confuse students and clutter the output. Luckily there is the outlined output for easy access!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis for publishable research studies. Benefits include so many different statistical options - allowing versatile use of the program for many projects!
A great tool for the statistical analysis of data
What do you like best about the product?
The range of statistical functions to do data analyses and modelling. It has different functions to pre-process and visualize data. It is easy to use and very convenient to do research. It's user-friendly and can be used with little training. You can perform simple analysis like descriptive statistics but also more advanced using regression, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes it runs slow and it's not so flexible for presenting data in other formats. But to be honest, I'm satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use it to conduct research through analysis. The main benefit is that it is very easy to use and I can train others without wasting too much time because its interface is intuitive.
