Best for quant psych research
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly experience, easy to learn. Visual
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of stuff in the top tabs you never really use. Could be cleaner
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It fosters collaboration. Even the psych students are really advanced at SPSS from their classes. Researchers use it and the younger workers help refresh the memory of those who have been taking a break from data analysis
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think depending on your field people are going more toward SAS but for psychology is still good to know SPSS

Although it is not intuitive, there are a lot of online resources both primary and secondary.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM spss is not the most intuitive program. IBM does have a resource library, and there are really helpful resources online.

Easy to analyze survey results

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can calculate, analyze and transform your analysis on the graph. It also allows you to export the date into excel which is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a very long time to launch each time you open the application. Due to its big application size, I don't know if that problem can be fixed. But I click the app and go do something else while waiting for it to open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to do data analysis for a conference.
Excellent Software, makes computations easy.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use within the software. Everything is available with some simple navigation. Computing several statistical data points is simple, especially with how well the program works.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of time it takes to load the program on various computers I have tried to use.

Helps a lot with statistical data required in the Political Science field when it comes to several demographics and poll forecasts.

If you are considering using this product, make sure you read up on information regarding the use of the product. It is easy to use, but it takes a while to get used to it.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is user friendly, even for someone who is not a statistician. I am able to compare variables, make graphs and charts and analyze data in a very clear platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform runs slowly, even on my new computer. Downloading data sets often makes my computer crash.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to quickly analyze data and compare variables in order to get a clear picture of distribution.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that analyzing data is now so easy or is available to us on one system. It has so many functions and can perform complex algorithms all in one place. Saved me a lot of time, also like how we can code different functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really hate how bland the system looks. It looks very outdated even though it works really well. I think something could be done about that.

Make it more fun looking! Or not so bland even and add customization tools.
Fantastic tools with difficult functionality

Personallly, in everyday work, I have found wide array of available statistical analysis available to be especially helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The program can be rather difficult to load at times and can often crash during use and or lag to the point of needing to restart SPSS.

I primarily use this in research to determine the statical reliability and reach of data.

Please make your software slightly more user friendly for those we train to use it with no previous experience.

SPSS-- yes, the program you needed for Stats class.
What do you like best about the product?
The program itself is very unique. In comparison to other statistics based modules, it has an easier integration and simple outlook.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is easy for students to get bored (which is expected, this is math we are speaking of after all). In addition, not all students are comfortable with the mechanics of SPSS. Visual instructions are recommended as text instructions are easy to misunderstand.

Time management and paper waste-- using the program to create your models and statistical data is faster than writing it on paper. In addition, it is neater and saves paper.
