IBM SPSS
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, simple point, and click for statistical analyses.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM continues to raise the price for SPSS and it lacks many post hoc analysis features found in other stats packages. In addition, the graphs produced by SPSS are rather basic and difficult to revise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SPSS in my research methods class and to analyze my own research data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SPSS is the easiest stats package out there, however, it l lacks many features included in newer programs such as R. It is very cost-prohibitive, especially when compared to the open-source packages available. If one has the time and energy to learn to program in R, I recommend going that direction.

What do you like best about the product?
The program is straightforward and has many options for students, grads and scholars, particularly in the social sciences. Being able to add macros, such as PROCESS is also useful. The output sheets are easy to navigate and to export as a pdf if needed. Highly recommended. It's useful for analyses large numbers of cases and for exploring data to 'read' patterns and getting to know it, so that it is more than just numbers. It's a great package for newbies to data analysis to use given the wealth of support resources online and offline to help one to navigate or to learn tips and tricks.
What do you dislike about the product?
That the contrast and post-hoc tests are not as accurate as PSI (UNSW). It does take a little time to learn the layout and switching between data view and variable view, but within an hour you get the hang of that and navigating the numerous options on the tool bar. It is recommended that you use a reference book as you are learning. I continue to use one when I run a test as one can easily forget the numerous options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I support undergraduates and post-graduates with research reports, stats learning and thesis analysis. SPSS IBM helps students to rapidly and easily analyse their data and obtain a meaningful story from their data.
SPSS is the best software for psychological statistical analyses and research projects.

The flexibility and ease of running analyses, adding new data and variables.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is often information missing about effect size on certain variables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Completing my research projects. Ability to download data from other programs (i.e. Excel, Qualtrics).
Great application. Easy to use and replicate work with syntax.
What do you like best about the product?
Personally, I like the ease of use. Being able to select the type of statistical analysis I want to run and then pasting the syntax is incredibly useful. Specifically, I can use point and click and then paste the produced syntax for replication. It makes running projects incredibly easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the price of the license is the biggest downfall. It is my favorite statistics software to use, but if the university did not cover the cost of the license I would be more hesitant to cover the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SPSS as a means for analyzing data. Essentially SPSS helps me determine causal relations between variables or how they're associated. I have realized that SPSS is leaps and bounds ahead of other statistics software.

Great software if you can cover the cost of the license.

SPSS is very user-friendly and very ideal for generating insights from complex datasets.

The user-interface is clouded with alot of function buttons.

What do you like best about the product?
The IBM SPSS is the computer application with a variety of statistical tests, almost each of them. Most notable about SPSS is the ease of entering the data. It makes us capable of entering the data without errors such as we are provided with Nominal categorical, Ordinal categorical, and numerical data types. Respectively, we can also import if the data is present in MS Excel.
Fundamentally, SPSS supports the necessary correction before any systemic test such as detection of an outlier, standard deviation (SD), and Probability (P).
However, we can go on with data with our desired analysis such as ANOVA, T-test, Z-Test, Regression, and Co-relation, etc.

The way i can analyse my project data using graphs and charts is superb. It has a good user interface which is much easier to use and understand. Almost every project be it large or small projects can be analysed by this software. Data input computation using mathematical functions like mean and deviations is much helpful while comparing different data.

In our company we deal with research project which require to be analysed with statistical graphs and charts and choosing IBM SPSS has been one of solution to our problems in inputting data and analysing it efficiently for better understanding.

I would recommend people doing research and other project to consider using IBM SPSS for analysis in their work since it has a good track of work in analysis. It provide good graphs and charts and it is easier to use and both large and small projects can be done by this software.

IBM SPSS Statistics has a very rich and attractive user-interface. And it helps us to save our time by analyzing the data very quickly. Also, it is very reliable. So, it generates reliable answers and information. And it compatible with all other software and applications that we use. Furthermore, it is easy to export the analyzed data to the places where we want.

It is somewhat costly. Also, the graphics should be improved than now.

SPSS Statistics is a product of IBM, and it is a useful and efficient software. We use this for several years now. And mainly, we use it for all kinds of data analysis work in our office. Because it is easy to use, and analyzing data is very quick with it. And, it does not require the programming or high technical knowledge. Therefore, any member of our organization can use it easily. IBM SPSS Statistics is very helpful for my researching works.
