Easy to use but needs a few tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user friendly. If there is any confusion, there are plenty of YouTube videos that go step by step with visuals that can guide users to a solution. It is more user friendly than its competitors, especially for those unfamiliar with statistical software packages.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using SPSS for large datasets, with long lists of variables, there is no way to do a keyword search. While it's possible to put the variables in alphabetical order, sometimes the variable names are not what you'd expect (for example, in pre-existing datasets like the GSS).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can very quickly run numbers that are part of a large dataset. Also, with just a few clicks, you can get statistical significance and Cramer's V that will allow you to calculate variance, which is an important accompaniment to the statistical significance of a p-value.
Best and proved software for statistics in market research
What do you like best about the product?
It is the most used for a reason. Practical, easy to use, and there is a ton of work already created to make your tasks easier.
Competitors are nowhere near the easiness of use of SPSS

What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations could be improved.
Also, programming tasks could be more efficient. That way it could be possible to automatize certain process.

Does all the statistical analysis in the company!
Best Product for Data statistics
What do you like best about the product?
My experience with IBM SPSS is very good. I am using SPSS for 5 years for my research projects. SPSS has a huge list of statistics. I use SPSS to analyze the data frequencies of my different projects. SPSS is a smart product and helps a lot in data analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Till now I have faced no such issues by using SPSS. Its interface is old user interface must be modern. Sometimes it takes time to load data files. Nothing I dislike in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SPSS is very helpful for data analysis. It helps to extract the required frequencies of data, and helps to view data in tabular form. I use SPSS for my research projects in which I have to validate the data on a large scale.
My review about IBM SPSS Statistics
What do you like best about the product?
simple user-friendly software and having first page looks similar to Excel page were we fill the data in a column-wise example if we have concentration, time, result out put data from the experiment, and analyse the multivarient analysis, student t test, Post hedj hock test analysis to be performed using SPSS.
What do you dislike about the product?
spss has not improved the statistical analysis, not focused on appearence of the out put of the graph was not looking good, means out put graph was cachy look, not attractive for my clients, difficult to do colour code, less graphic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i used for multi varient analysis for various data at a time, and i used Post hock test to compare with in the population and out side the population using single data analusis was solved my problem and also saved some time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive for students if they want to purchase it for their research/experiments
I don't know if I dislike it because it fulfills all my requirements

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a professor at the university and doing research work in the area of Business Management. I prefer SPSS because it can do highly complex data manipulation and analysis with simple instructions that I provide it. Furthermore, it can collect data from almost any type of file and use them to generate reports, charts and plots distributions and trends. It is equally beneficial for both qualitative and quantitative data. Studies show that almost 85% of research scholars carry quantitative data for further analysis. Even if there are several software available in the market to analyze quantitative data, I prefer SPS to other softwares.
SPSS, reasonable but costly and better alternatives available
What do you like best about the product?
It has a very shallow learning curve, both for students to learn and academic staff members to be able to teach. Its basic point-and-click interface makes it easy to navigate for beginners and those unfamiliar with coding or statistics software. This is also beneficial as it makes it easier to focus on learning the statistical principles if students may be anxious about learning statistical concepts and a programming language.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a seemingly yearly update that does not seem to add or fix much content yet still charges the university exorbitant fees to use and update. There are numerous issues, some of which have still yet to be addressed despite numerous updates and versions. Chiefly among these is the use of the 'Bonferroni post-hoc' correction. This is fundamentally incorrect as this procedure is only meant to be used for analyses that are apriori and conflicts directly with statistics education, which as a result, confuses students greatly. This is a serious issue as this often ends up in published scientific papers as well - the 'Bonferroni post-hoc' correction.
Moreover, the high price of the software makes it extremely cost-prohibitive for students, meaning that they are unable to access it at home to practice unless they pay an exorbitantly high fee. Thus, creating inequality between students. This is compounded as there are now various other statistical packages that are free and superior to SPSS in their functionality, such as R, JASP and JAMOVI.
The built-in data visualization is very poor; we always have to turn to other software to create figures, such as GraphPad by Prism.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for various statistical analyses to be carried out to analyze data attained from experiments. Moreover, it is used to teach undergraduate students the basics of using statistical software. It is relatively easy to use and prepare. However, the skills acquired are quite limited and not very generalizable to other, more commonly used statistical packages.
Very complicated, but very unique
What do you like best about the product?
A wide selection of functions is great; here, you can find everything that might be needed for statistical approaches and analysis. A lot of features for every need. This software was used in my university and at my work as well, so this is one of the most popular software for sociologists.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most complicated app I have ever seen! You almost can't use it intuitively, and searching for information online doesn't help either. The only way to get used to it is to get a bachelor's degree.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With SPSS, I can operate with all massive data masses and build all necessary charts. It also helps with opening files with secondary data which other researchers made.
A necessity for marketing research
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely user-friendly and easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the version that I have, I'm unable to run TURF analyses
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing primary survey data. It's instrumental to what we do as a business.

2. No shortcut to access functionality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has a lot of inbuilt functionality, which is not there on excel. For example: - It has an inbuilt function to do "Factor analysis" for survey reports.
My experience has always been wonderful with IBM statistics.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful things in IBMare many like, easy graphs, easy customization, and quick entry of data, while all this has always prevailed. there is one thing which exictes me that is it's easy to spot tools and options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one and only thing which I feel is my least favourite thing about IBM is its outdated interface and user experience throughout the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a statistical tool, it is used all over the world, and I think every day some or other error or mishap happens in IBM software, but in my opinion, its regular updates help to keep it in check.
