It works when it works, but it's not perfect
What do you like best about the product?
The easability of using the product to sync data from one storage to another.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the end, it's still a file base syncing, so it'll never be better than block level snapshots and backup. Still has a bunch of technical issues like fail to sync files/folders for whatever reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our DR problem in Azure.
This was the answer we needed to get our remote teams up and running smoothly
What do you like best about the product?
Once the bugs have been worked out is a very set it and forget it type of app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that moved from included with the main package to paid add ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a number of remote workers doing lots of graphics design that all over the US. This made them be able to work together on things without the wait of downloading and without the head ache of undoing each others progress.
Easy and fast syncing
What do you like best about the product?
We're using Resilio to sync our on prem data to secure storage in the cloud. After working out some setup details and sorting through AD issues, we are up and running smoothly, with no loss of connectivity and perfect syncing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other than the initial setup hiccups, there is nothing that isn't working as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By having our data synced to the cloud, we can utilize AWS VDI without experiencing the lag to our on prem storage. Artists working on cloud machines experience a feel as though they are local to the storage, with no long save and load times and no lag. This allows us to scale our workstations up and down as needed, without the need for more complicated machine rentals.
Excellent file sync for AutoCAD
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to utilize file sync between file servers at remote sites without the need to utilize remote desktop software or slow VPN connections. Tech support has been excellent for every issue and the reps I have talked to have all been US based and easy to communicate with. Customer service seems to be a high priority.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost to synchronize multiple data servers is based on the maximum usage model so other servers cannot be sync'd at lower speeds or with lower priority and data usage. Adding a 3rd server to the sync at a different location for two users is very cost prohibitive for the few projects they collaborate on with the other offices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer need to have remote PC's in the main office to allow remote users access to our local files.
Resilio just plain works
What do you like best about the product?
I am so impressed with how easy it is to use and how quickly it is able to sync large amounts of data - as well as how quickly changes are sync'd once the initial sync is complete. Customer support and on-boarding was and is second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
so far, the only thing is the cost and I say that only because I wish we could use it more places.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
allows us to move a lot of data over a very small pipe and keep that data sync'd
Great Support and Migration Speed
What do you like best about the product?
Migration speed is great and data gets copied at decent speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
AWS glacier support would have been helpful. Support for non AWS S3 compatuble buckets
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Copying data from one cloud provider to another
Resilio has helped a lot with file reconciliation within our company, our customers and partners.
What do you like best about the product?
a feature that will change the agile and efficient functioning of the company
What do you dislike about the product?
On-time movement scheduling has been useful in increasing engagement with our large customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
yes, it solved a lot of problems in the companies and we served customers better
Best file synchronisation / distribution tool on the market
What do you like best about the product?
We had the challenge to synchronize a couple thousand server with millions of files on each to new hardware, ideally with as little downtime and impact to production as possible. While various other tools seemed to do the job fine at first they all started to fail or got unusable slow once a very high amount of files had to be synced. The only tool we found that was able to do the job and not only get it done, but get it done fast and reliable was resilio.
Beside beeing able to synchronize massive amounts of files, the deployment and managment of hundreds of synchronization jobs was super simple, thanks to the centralized management console and API.
There are plenty of controls available to manage performance impact on the machine, like how many disk workers are active, how many requests should be handeled in parallel and a time based bandwidth scheduler that alows faster syncing when the production load on the machine is low. The possebility to mange differnt profiles for different machine and job types makes it super simple to assign specific load profiles to your different groups of machines.
Synchronisation errors can be easily tracked in the console or via the API so you always have an overview if any files causes trouble with the synchronization and can fix it if needed.
Thanks to the flexebility on how their agents can connect (directly / via proxy / chained) and controls on which agent can communicate with which other agent it is possible to adopt it to any network layout / policy I can think of.
One thing that makes them absolutely outstanding is their awesome customer support, they respond super fast, they have a ready solution for almost any problem you could run into (there are tons of advanced configuration options that are not directly visible) and if there's a problem they can't solve directly they get the dev team involved to find a solution.
All in all the best synchronization tool out there and the best customer experience in a very long time with the resilio team!

What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really anything we disliked.
However, as with everything, there are some parts that could be improved:
The access management should be sufficent for most user, but if you need a more fine grained or full isolation it gets to it's limits, in case you need a more fine grained or full isolation you can ask them to have a second management console, that solved the problem for us.
Hardlinked and sparse files can cause trouble, currently hard linked files and sparse files are treated like normal files, so they get synced, but allocate their own/full space on the target side, it would be nice if those could be detected as hardlinks / sparse files. But I can also see how the hardlink detection could cause some serious performance impact if there's a massive amount of them.

We mainly have to sync massive amounts of files, mainly complete server with a couple TB of data and up to 30 million files on them.
These syncs need to happen as fast as possible and with as little delay on change as possible, all while beeing able to exactly define how many resource the syncing might use to avoid impact on the production workload.
Resilio does all of the above with ease and was actually the only tool tested that could do it at all when it comes to machines with 10 million files and more.

Resilio Active Everywhere made file server synchronization a breeze for us
What do you like best about the product?
We switched to Resilio Active Everywhere for synchronizing our file shares between multiple servers. We chose it because of its ease of use. Their customer support helped us get the software running before the ink was dry on the agreement. I couldn't tell you the number of features that Resilio Active Everywhere has, but I know it does what we needed extremely well. We discovered that DFSR had broken due to a group policy change and files were out of sync. The DFS Private folders had started to accumulate issue files and had almost doubled the drive usage. Resilio was able to get everything synchronized again within a couple of hours. It was extremely easy to implement and integrate into our existing file shares. It was completely seamless to the end users. I go weeks without logging into Resilio because it is a set and forget kind of product. It just does what it needs to without any intervention from our team. It is frequently in use but it does not require any input from you.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can not think of any downsides of Resilio Active Everywhere. I wish it was a little cheaper but there is nothing else out there that comes close to fixing the file server synchronization issue that we had.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It fixed the issues that we had with file server backups and synchronizing. We no longer have to worry about our file servers anymore.
Painless job synchronization
What do you like best about the product?
Possibility to create sync jobs from and to a vast number of devices without the need to rely on a cloud based storage.
Customer Support is rapid and efficient.
