Affordable security awareness training. Easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy sales process. On-boarding time was quick. Pricing was easy to understand. Employees got training completed quickly. Single sign-on was easy to setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Phishing tests were a bit too obvious for most. Content selection/management is a bit confusing and requires regular review of content options.
Some content is a bit cheesy or too basic for us, but others might like it more.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to get security awareness training to all employees on a regular basis with easy enrollment, single sign-on, reminders and completion notifications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you think it's a fit, it probably is. If you just want awareness training and compliance management in an affordable, easy-to-use package, it's an easy choice. For our small business (<50 employees) , it was perfect.
Comprehensive security awareness training and testing platform
What do you like best about the product?
There's a wide variety of content and it is very easy to deploy to all end users with the active directory integration. The SSO is also great so users do not need to remember a separate password to login to this system. The admin dashboards provide quick access to see the status on all training and phish test statistics as well as the company's virtual risk score.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system lacks flexibility in giving options to pause training notifications when an employee is on an extended leave. We would still want the employee enrolled and to complete their training upon their return, but we would like the ability to pause notifications for a specified period of time so their inbox is not filling up with these emails, as well as their manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have definitely seen a reduction in our phish test failures in conjunction with our regular security awareness training campaigns. We have received plenty of positive feedback from the end users, many of which say they have learned a lot of things they never even thought of when it comes to being a human firewall.
Very helpful and effective training, with loads of additional tools for improving security awareness
What do you like best about the product?
The content has been very helpful and informative for my users. Most claim to have learned quite a bit, and talk about what they discover from the modules. I also appreciate the variety of tools available to the administrator(s) that help make it easy to grab useful data in easy to present formats such as graphics, graphs, and charts to decision-makers and other parties of import. The additional ability to take all of that data, and cross-reference to historical data to show/track progress has enabled me to justify renewing our subscription with KnowBe4 as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of the administrative console is a little tedious to manage and navigate, but even still is very workable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User awareness of the constant risks and threats posed especially by communication and social engineering was almost completely lacking outside of the C-suite at our organization, prior to our starting to work with KnowBe4. Both in general, and even among the leadership team, awareness has increased significantly, and user wariness of potentially malicious content and activities has very visibly increased over the past few years since we began to work with KnowBe4.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When looking for user training, I strongly suggest focusing the pitch as it were on the practicality of the content for the cost of getting it. I know as a non-profit, my organization can hardly imagine not achieving a great ROI, but compared to the costs of dedicated security appliances or software suites, it is a much lower cost for a much greater benefit to ROI with KnowBe4. Even still, having compared a number of other products some years back before we opted to work with KnowBe4, their content and the people they have giving their expert input to develop it are second to none in my opinion.
The administrative console also provides a lot of useful information in practical formatting both for viewing and presentation to executives and other decision-making parties (things like graphical representations of the data like charts and graphs that can you can screen-shot, print, or snip and drop into slideshows or such, making it much easier to provide useful info in a laymen-accessible format to leadership. The ability to track changes in user behavior based upon their handling or treatment of simulated phishing emails and such has proven very useful to me, as well as all of the info and tools I mentioned helping to justify continued expenditure towards addressing the human-element of security that I know some security teams or officers can at times struggle to get other leadership to sign off on.

KnowBe4 Review
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 offers hundreds of security awareness training modules that are within many different disciplines. The KnowBe4 security awareness training campaigns and Phish test campaigns are easy to configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish to see KnowBe4 offer certifications in information security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are not having any issues with the KnowBe4 service. Benefits that we have realized are the many areas of information security that KnowBe4 offers training modules. The KnowBe4 phishing campaigns provide excellent feedback on employees actions when receiving phish emails.
KnowBe4 is a game changer for educating folks on phishing/security
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 is great. Great customer service, great reps, always new content
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything that I dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
clicky-clickersons....everyone just used to click on anything. Now with KB4 training, they are much more careful
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know what you are getting into. We chose a level that they don't set anything up for you. I had to teach myself how to set it up (reached out to Support when needed) and now I receive an email the other day that says the way I set it up doesn't mean their "standards"...i didn't even know there was such a thing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface, I spend the bulk of my time, on the Training, Users, and Reporting Tab. Some of my users enjoy collecting badges. It seems every time I log into the system I receive a refresh button so I'm glad the site is constantly being refreshed with updates. I like the notifications feature for our managers on a campaign. I thought about setting up security roles to allow the managers access to pull their own reports on their divisions, so security roles are very helpful in this aspect. Saves me time from having to pull the report... ;-) The ASAP feature has been helpful, I've used it as a guide during the implementation process and I like how it points to different articles setting things up within the system. I'm glad users are beginning to stop and think and it's thanks to the phishing test and training which I've only done 2 Baseline for our IT Department and for our non-it users and only 1 training campaign. More will be coming out in the Spring for our new hires. I'm a fan of the Scam of the Week and Security Hit and Tips Campaign. The dashboard gives me a birds-eye view of everything. I can't wait to see what our phish-prone % is when another phishing campaign is complete. That should be interesting. I believe our users find their end easy to navigate except after they complete the training they can never figure out how to get back to it to print their certificate. We definitely have customized KnowBe4 with our brand to ensure our users don't delete the messages especially when notifications get set out to our users notifying them of training or how many days they have completed the training. I'm glad the reporting is in CSV because I take out a couple of columns that I don't feel the managers need to see like the Groups I've created.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way you can merge 2 campaigns into one. I had it originally set up for users who completed the SAPA would automatically receive the training materials. Those who did not end up with a new training campaign with the same material setup for them. I may be the only user faced with this particular situation but a merge feature would be nice especially if it's the same training material in both campaigns. It would be helpful if once a campaign has started and you need to edit and add a particular group to that campaign that would be an option as oppose to merging. When I contacted support I wasn't keen on having to create a separate login to view images that support was sending me. That I found annoying. :-). Even though I'm a proponent of Security Roles, I didn't see why under the General Tab the role requires at least Read access under Account Settings. I want to use 2nd Chance so badly but the killer for us was our users had to be using Internet Explorer 11. Most of our users are Chrome or Firefox. SAPA I had some feedback from some of the questions, I know KnowBe4 polls a select group of people for these questions but a feedback box from our users would have been appreciated. As an administrator of the accounts that are within the system, there are based on our Groups in Active Directory and are pulled through the AD Sync. I wish there was a way to download a provisioning report when a batch of users has been added, removed. I know we can go into the provisioning tab and look at groups, users, memberships, but a report would be so nice. I'm sure KnowBe4 is just not for the education industry but as an educational institute we do have users who are Spring Employees and Fall Employees I have found a way to manage by using Smart Criteria I just feel it will get out of hand if Im not to careful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Part of my newly created position was to develop Security Awareness Training for our users. I was dreading the training creation because I knew it would take a lot of time for me to develop the material myself. So KnowBe4 ticked that box for us. Users have been giving me feedback on some of the training materials on what they liked and didn't like. The majority of them enjoy Kevin Mitnick's video's that I have added from the Modstore. Our users are taking cybersecurity awareness training pretty seriously, and I'm thankful for that. A user came up and told me recently that I'm teaching them well because now they stop and think before clicking, also their phone was stolen so they knew exactly what to do because of the training. Feedback is essential.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
KnowBe4 is a relatively easy platform to use. I reviewed InfoSecIQ and I wasn't really impressed with their platform. Our only hiccup was during the SSO portion because we use QuickLaunch SSO and some of the verbiages on the instructions didn't match our SSO portal. Eventually, we got there. I'm a fan of the security roles feature because it allows me to practice the principle of least privilege. I have coordinator groups setup and those responsible for GLBA, FERPA, and other compliance areas are responsible for their own team and training material making sure their team gets the required training. The diamond platform includes several compliance modules: FERC/NERC/FERPA, FFIEC, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and Sarbanes-Oxley. I plan on utilizing some more of these compliance modules for our end users. Another cool feature is the Phish Alert Button (PAB). I have most of my users reporting "suspicious" emails to me using that feature, however, our Firefox users are not allowed to participate as it's for Outlook, Outlook Web Access, Office 365, GSuite (Chrome Extension), and the Outlook Mobile App (for iOS and Android).
Good Tool for Training and Testing
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of training modules to select from.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had, and continue to have, false positives with phishing test which skewed results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Employees have been learning more and more about cyber threats.

What do you dislike about the product?
Portal is starting to become too complex for simple navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Risk of data breach, ransomware, human firewall improvements. Huge reduction in phish prone percentage, cultural change taking security seriously and part of our every day lives.

Best Security Awareness Training Out There!
What do you like best about the product?
Customer service, variety of training modules available, assessments and culture surveys, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about KnowBe4
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to develop a security awareness training and testing policy in our organization. We are building human firewalls and teaching them to think before they click. Users reach out to us on suspicious emails or use the phish tool to report them. We are not only teaching them how to spot a phish, we also reinforce physical security and cyber hygiene. Although, you can never be too confident our users are more cautious with the emails and phone calls they receive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
KnowBe4 has an excellent security awareness training platform. They will help you assess the cyber culture in your organization, determine a baseline and find deficiencies, provide policy and other communication templates to help get your policy off the ground and work with you every step of the way to ensure you are sending out good, quality training campaigns focused on your weaknesses. They offer many free tools to help with your assessments. They recommend different types of training campaigns that have worked well in other organizations. Games, video series and training with tests are made available to us. We even send out the monthly newsletters and tip of the day emails to keep our users informed of the latest threats. Can't forget about the fact we can phish test our users as often as we like. These simulated phishing emails are composed very well and help us reinforce the training we have had.
Great for average computer user.
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4's experience in security training shows through in the trainings, and connects to the users in a way few other trainings I've used can.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports that can be run to check on user engagement with the program are limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have already seen multiple instances where phishing e-mails were thwarted that would have been a big problem without the training (from the mouth of the actual user after questioning the e-mail).
