Everything I need
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy and fast to login, generate a password, and manage my data.
What do you dislike about the product?
One time I accidentally broke the synching process by uninstalling Dropbox. It would be nice if 1Password alerted me when this happened.
I wish the password generator made it easier to adhere to typical password requirements (e.g. when you must have a number, capital & lowercase letter, etc.)
I wish the password generator made it easier to adhere to typical password requirements (e.g. when you must have a number, capital & lowercase letter, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining secure, unique passwords that are synchronized across devices.
Best password manager: period
What do you like best about the product?
Easy, fast, manageable. Great password generation that's easy to comply to any standards, easy to use interface, very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of. g2crowd forces me to use more characters though, so here you go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password management for all our teams: allows them personal use as well as shared passwords amongst teams. Easy to lock into any compliance standards without the teams needed to memorize or think about a thing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not mix with Chrome's built-in password manager: one it's a security flaw as you're now storing your passwords in multiple places, two Chrome has an issue when you click on both that is on Google's side, not 1Passwords.
So simple even my Mom uses it
What do you like best about the product?
1Password makes it easy to practice basic password security. Creating strong and different password for each service I use is no longer an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing passwords with family and/or team members is possible, but not as smooth as it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing and sharing client credentials and shared accounts always included people writing down or otherwise insecurely sharing passwords with each other. This also meant that if one person changed the password everyone else would get locked out. Using 1Password means that people don't need to actually know the sensitive information to access the account and syncing happens automatically!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your current password management solution can export a CSV of accounts you can easily import it into 1Password. Be careful when seeing up shared Vaults though because it can be easy to give a lot of people access to accounts they shouldn't otherwise have access to.
How do people live without 1Password?
What do you like best about the product?
Simple well-designed interface. Easy to keep the application updated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the iOS version was able to copy and paste (or propagate) both a username and password to another app. Probably not 1Password's fault (iOS limitation).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me use better / more secure passwords, plus keeps credit card info handy for purchases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you do not use a password manager, do not wait to get 1Password.
An essential tool in today's world of hackers
What do you like best about the product?
All of my passwords, credit cards, and notes in one secure location that is easily accessed from PC and Mac computers, mobile phones, and tablets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I use Dropbox to sync across my devices but it will also sync across iCloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am retired and use it in my personal life.
Getting my passwords always at hand
What do you like best about the product?
On the one hand, I think that the best of 1Password is that my passwords are secured and the forms are auto filled when I need. I don't worry because of the security and the passwords synchronization between devices. The form filling is quick and comfortable. On the other hand, in emergency cases, I can access my tools and sites from home because of the multidevice data sharing. It's perfect for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the process of taking a generated password to the clipboard. I think it doesn't give me the best user experience. I'd like a shorter/instant way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to manage my passwords. They are always at hand and secure. I can use very strong passwords without the need of taking notes or remembering them. I haven't to repeat the same password to remember it. Other benefits are that I can create another extra vault for my home passwords, and I can use my home passwords at work and my work passwords at home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With 1Password I forgot the password problems.
It works so well.
What do you like best about the product?
We use 1Password for Teams at the office, and sharing passwords has never been easier. I'm using it privately as well, with a family account. Now I'm able to answer my parents' phone calls about what their wifi password is, by "teaching them how to fish", instead of telling them every time they get a new phone or something.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that 1Password never finished their whitepaper on how their security works. But then again, they have a whitepaper about it, so what's to complain???
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing passwords with teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very secure and really easy to work with.
Does exectly what they say and helps me with all my passwords and fills in credit card info
What do you like best about the product?
Not worrying about not remembering a password.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it always works and they update often and the updates work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I order online for my business and it makes buying and selling so much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it, you'll like it.
1Password has been keeping me safe & secure for 10+ years
What do you like best about the product?
1Password has steadily improved over the past 10 years, increasing it's integration with pretty much all desktop browsers and most mobile browsers. The password generation feature is very strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally there are sites where 1Password can't identify the username and password fields while in a browser, but this may be due to poor metadata provided by the website's developer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using unique, strong passwords on every web service that I touch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jump in, start using 1Password, it will improve your security and your computing life.
Since years without competitors. Really
What do you like best about the product?
One of a kind. When competitors lack in function or security this superb software works like a charm since years for me without any problems or hacks or whatsoever. The functions and features a well designed and thought out. Nothing to complain. This comment is maybe too friendly but what should I say if everything works. And of course the brillant and funny notes from the developers for updates etc. are priceless. Keep up the good work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The structure of categories and overview could be messy for 500 passwords. So I would like to have the possibility to organize my passwords with more visual helps like a board with some notepads to see e.g. which passwords are for clients, for websites, for software etc. I see that categories are available but it would be nice to see them on the fly - on one paper or notepad. I think how the software Scrivener did that. Something like that. The price is a bit high. But: I tested different other password applications and use them time by time. The whole package 1Password offers is more than all the apps together. Hopefully the developers to not fall in the trap of subscription-systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing hundreds of passwords for clients, FTP, Server, websites etc. The search function is essential. I like it that by opening the 1Password the promoter is in the search field. Thats really timesaving.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest in the best. Use the trial to get into the application and the answer will be clear.
