Orange Dam is a powerful platform with numerous benefits.
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to organize, search and retrieve assets from. The metadata fields are customizable which results in improved workflow and enables us to maintain a well structured and easily navigable asset library. Orange Logic's customer service addresses questions and issues promptly. Overall Orange Logic DAM is great for usability, flexibility and performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to the ability to customize Orange DAM, it can be difficult and time consuming to set up all of the features that will benefit your company. While there is documentation for basic features, it would be beneficial to have more in depth documentation for DAM administrators to utilize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have assets in various locations. By using Orange DAM we were able to eliminate multiple DAMs and solely use Orange DAM. By using one DAM, we save time and money.

Exciting potentials
What do you like best about the product?
Making connections between assests and making them more dicoverable
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could be smoother and quicker
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting and making visible digtial assets and records across our systems
Navigation struggles
What do you like best about the product?
The abilbity to store all of our assets in one space and apply filters and tags easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation is a bit cumbersome, having to open folders in a drop down side panel instead of scrolling through columns. It can be difficult to locate the exact asset you are trying to find. Customer support is also not great with response time, and some customizations that were originally sold to us as easy and simple, seem near impossible to achieve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one location for all of our assets and information is super helpful to our collective workflow.
I've enjoyed learning about the functionality of the DAM and think it has many virtues.
What do you like best about the product?
I find the interface to be relatively straighforward to use and that I am able to locate materials with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've found some surprisingly deficient aspects of the interface, notably that related assets can't be viewed as a gallery – that is that one can't look through related assets of a particular asset sequentially; that they open up separate tabs is quite bizarre and confusing, cumbersome to deal with. The fact that if one wants to do this one has to create a PDF seems incredibly byzantine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an archivist, I use the DAM as a way of organizing material chronologically and intelligibly.
A Dynamic DAM
What do you like best about the product?
It's flexible, powerful, and intelligently designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system's triumphs are also its downfalls. With the flexibility comes a rather lengthy implementation, followed by quite a bit of work further configuring it to your insitution's specific needs. With the power comes a wide margin of error and the need for some serious technical proficiency in-house. With the intelligent design comes a learning curve exacerbated by incomprehensive support documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing assets, developing rich relationships between them, ease of search.
Great Product!
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about it is it's customizable to the org or specific departments and use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a dislike really but it can be challenging tot manage without sufficient resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A single source of truth for digital assets and version control alone saves one department 3-5 hours a week for each person using the system.
The right DAM for a large asset library and various stakeholder segments
What do you like best about the product?
Orange Logic's customizations and the ability to handle a large and complex array of assets (particularly images and video) accross a wide array of stakeholders with various levels of requirements/permissions made it the right fit for our creative organization. Our day-to-day requirements include facilitating access to 10,000+ assets with different types of rights/usage and expirations across our in-house team, internal users, external partners, agencies and more. The search capabilities and machine learning are critical to our ability to source the right files in a volume of files that would be impossible to navigate solely from a folder structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Vanilla UI of the DAM is fairly basic and while the ability to customize is robust, a more modern UI/UX experience in the admin areas would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our creative studio manages a wide array of assets, far too many to be effectively managed in a folder-based ecosystem. Orange Logics' search, tagging and machine learning capabilities make it much simple for us to find what we're looking for. Additionally because we have so many needs to segment users with various permissions/settings, Orange Logics' powerful segmentation capabilities empower us to provide the right user access at a granular level.
A complete DAM solution
What do you like best about the product?
Orange Logic has all of the bells and whistles you'd hope for in an Enterprise DAM, while not skimping on any core functionality you'd expect. The UI is configurable per team, letting everyone get what they need, the way they like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pretty happy with the solution and the direction of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the flow of content and projects from idea to publication. Helps with task and project management, making it easy to see where available resources are on my team.
Best in class DAM that meets diverse workflow needs
What do you like best about the product?
Cortex DAM was an essential part of the workflow for multiple departments at Meta. The robustness of the DAM was reflected by the diversity of use cases. Some teams valued the ability to securely store highly sensitive internal data. Others were able to realize cost savings by centralizing asset storage and retrieval, significantly increasing reuse of high cost assets. Categorization and retrieval of large volumes of assets far exceeded the capabilities of competing DAMs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm looking forward to seeing what OL will do to increase productivity through AI tooling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security, redundant access creation, complicated asset storage and retrival needs
A fully functional, scalable DAM solution
What do you like best about the product?
The upsidse of using OrangeLogic DAM is that it is highly configurable and scalable to any companies DAM requirments. The sharing capabilites are excllents and the secuirty and audit logs are immense.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configurability of the DAM is a blessing and a curse. You can set up your DAM in a very granular, detailled way, but this needs to be well documented, because when it comes to changing things, it can be difficult to understand the impact of the changes.
