Orange Logic: Orange DAM is the future

What do you like best about the product?
The UI/UX is great. Integration and customer support have been fabulous. It's a product I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a DAM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of complete control. Some features are only changeable by the Orange Logic team, while they are great and efficient, I would prefer full control of the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It ensures the right asset is available, at the right time and to the right stakeholders, making workflows efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
I find that they are very good at helping us find solutions to our DAM challenges. I also enjoy collaborating with their experts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility of the tool is very high but it comes with a stepp learning curve to undeerstand how to configure the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single centralized source for all marketing digital asset management.

What do you like best about the product?
We are a global company that includes our Corporate HQ and multiple Regional offices, each creating various marketing assets. Having OL DAM on board has allowed us to organize, tag for easy searching and share 1000's of marketing assets globally. Another great feature I love is the version control where you are able to see previous versions of an asset and date it was uploaded.

For many years, our assets were stored on a traditional server which was less than ideal. The tool saves our teams a lot of time and is highly customizable so you're able to set up and organize the way you want it. The knowledgable project managers will guide your team through the set up process so you utilize the tool to whats best for your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are interested in integrating the tool with a 3rd party application. We found out a specific one we would like requires additional SaaS fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency of retrieving assets. Tagging each asset has helped tremendously in finding assets quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Having a dedicated Customer Success Manager allows us to utilise the tool to its fullest. New features are regularly launched which keeps the platform competitive. It's fully customisable which is advantageous as we have a lot of users and rigid asset storage structures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tickets can take time to be reviewed. After infrastructure upgrades there can be a few system issues that need resolving which can slow users down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of assets globally and across teams. Managing asset rights and embargoed content in a clear and consise way. Improving accessability of assets for key stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to configure the system to meet our unique needs
What do you dislike about the product?
For people with low tech skills the system can seem daunting. On the flipside of that we have team members with the technical skills and drive to move forward on configurations and they are unable to get under the hood to make the changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to reduce redundancy and rethink our digital asset architecture, improving on how it is organized and described with enhanced metadata features.

What do you like best about the product?
It's appealingly customizable, making it possible for admins to configure the software to the needs of their organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always the most intuitive, which can create a learning curve for new users. More focused documentation might help, like a quick start guide for new users that covers just the basics without getting into the weeds.

What do you like best about the product?
Orange DAM is powerful product, with robust and practical tools for metadata schemas, art, workflow, and more. We particularly appreciate the Creative Cloud integration, and the ability to mark-up art (and share it) within the DAM. From the development team to support to customer success, we have had a partner every step of the way with Orange DAM.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are almost too many features and ways to customize! :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business has over a million assets, dating back to the 1980s. For most of our business life, we have relied on instituational memory to identify, locate, and share images. Now we are on our way to ensure that everyone in the organization has access.

What do you like best about the product?
Seems capable of holding a lot of information
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as intuitive as advertised. Way too open to interpretation, not clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is supposed to help retrieval of photos and photo information as well as physical asset location. It would streamline work here. That hasn't happened yet.

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of capacity for info and metadata. Layout is clean and easy to read. Color coding of folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complicated for non-computer savvy person like me.Confusing filters. Slow upload and processing. Facial Recognition is clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were promised easy photo management for our Photo Archive, digital and physical (we have lots of analog images, prints, negatives, etc....) It is diffcult to find what I am looking for which may be because metadata is not completed yet, so the system doesn't know what I'm looking for.

Highly customizable DAM

What do you like best about the product?
The system is highly customizable to my organization's needs. Aside from the essential features to run the DAM, the administrators are able to manage the system without excessively relying on Orange Logic support. This saves a lot of time for both parties. Implemention of the DAM was easy for our organization needs.

Ever since we've implemented the system in our organization, we have received very positive response from our uploaders and non-uploaders. The ability to add extra metadata to assets has certainly made an enormous difference in how much more efficient their workflows have become.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation was lacking, which made the learning curve for administrators steep. However, Orange Logic is improving in this area by increasing availability of documentation and creating training programs for administrators.

The wait time for tickets sometimes takes a while to get any updates. it can be very frustrating but our customer success manageris very helpful in providing an extra push to get issues resolved as soon as possible. Sometimes the answers to our questions are too simple and doesn't elaborate on why the answer is such.

Implementation of new features or modification to existing features are contigent on the number of hours available in our bucket of hours. These buckets are packages of hours that you use toward new feature developemtn or feature mofications. Sometimes the tickets are quickly dismissed as a potential projects that will use some of these hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency of retrieving assets has significantly benefited my organization. This comes from the fact that we can add extra metadata to help quickly find assets.
