Better than Clippy
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly offers helpful suggestions to my phrasing and/or appropriate use of certain articles and words. They also offer an option to align your writing with the company standard (if applicable) while still keeping your unique style.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pop-up can get in the way and doesn't always like to stay where I've moved it. Some of the wording and/or punctuation suggestions are not applicable in the sentence or paragraph I am writing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly has caught mistakes I haven't noticed that simple "spell-check" wouldn't have flagged either. It also offers helpful phrasing suggestions when a sentence could be written in a structure that is easier to understand.
Great tool for proofreading and spot checks for tone
What do you like best about the product?
I love we can have our own style guide that can be added to Grammarly and can flag issues any time anyone on our team writes. Some of the tone suggestions are also interesting and hope will get better over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my gripes are on the AI tool. A lot of the prompts will just error out, but I understand that it is in beta mode.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can change the voice and tone to suit different writers and readers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the edits don't give you additional options it just says hard to read. Sentences can be long though and that doesn't necessarily make them hard to read.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me with some grammar rules that I may have forgotten to keep my writing looking polished and accurate to the readers. It also gives me the ability to keep what I wrote instead.
Grammarly Business Saves the Day
What do you like best about the product?
I feel confident in my writing abilities. Tasks as simple as writing emails become infinitely easier with Grammarly Business. I feel proud of my emails and know I sound professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly Business still has its faults. Not all the recommendations sound right and are useful. As English modernizes, so does acceptable grammar and suggestions, which Grammarly could use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Best ways to write something. Grammarly helps me be more concise and direct. I feel that Grammarly not only improves my sentence structures but Grammarly has made me a better employee and professional.
Helps our team with consistent quality and tone
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly Business has been so helpful for our customer success team. It keeps us on brand for tones, assists with consice replies to customers, and maintains a high level of quality for our responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a bit more individual statistics available, but this is not a major pain point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly Business helps every member of our customer success team write in a way that offers clarity and friendliness to our customers.
Makes me appear 10%-15% smarter
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly has made me a better writer. In addition to helping with those pesky words I can never spell right, it suggests punctuations I had long forgotten about. The sentence rewrites suggestions almost always lead to statements that flow better. It asked me to remove "that" from a sentence because it was unnecessary and helped me spell unnecessary because I can never remember what combination of n's, c's, s's, e's, and a's to use. I also absolutely love the weekly emails with my writing metrics. It's a real moral booster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Grammarly can be a bit overzealous with its suggestions. The AI does an excellent job of understanding the context of a sentence, but it's a little off about 5% of the time. Also, the synonym suggestions are occasionally helpful, but I find them vexing over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly makes my writing sound more professional. I tend to right in a very casual and conversational manner, which is fine, but sometimes I need a bit more polish and Grammarly helps make that happen.
Grammarly is a Life SAVER for our small non-profit!
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly allows clean, thoughtful writing across our business platform. As a non-profit, our ability to communicate is essential to our ability to fundraise. Additionally, we can set company tones, reduce time in proofreading, and put together cohesive marketing materials.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolutely nothing. From functionality to use - it is all amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Varying writing styles and abilities across our company can be problematic in communications. Grammarly corrects that through proofreading and style guides. The ability to move through company-wide writing with minimal mistakes is incredible.
Get Smart
What do you like best about the product?
As a life-long learner this is a great tool to help me improve my writing and verbal skills. The weekly summaries are a good reflection on how I may have come across to my colleagues and partners.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really see no down side as it is not invasive to my immediate business. Although I do feel when a "tone" may be perceived as a negative i.e. "Direct" which is sometimes necessary but if pointed out at the time may have caused me to soften my approach if warranted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is an area in which an administrative assistant may be otherwise used or an associate's time for proofreading that does not have to be called upon. So ultimately this is a time and cost saver for our business which is critical being that we are a non-profit organization.
Great for Streamlining Editing Time
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Grammarly for Business is that it gives suggestions, highlighting hard-to-read sentences and phrases and describing what's wrong with them. This greatly streamlines the editing process, especially when you need to edit multiple long-form content articles (3000+ words) per day. Of course, the inline editing suggestions are also extremely helpful. I work in Google Docs, and the fact that the extension works within the program without me having to copy/paste the article into Grammarly directly is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful component of Grammarly for Business is probably the tone/voice setting. There are just too many specific components for each client for this to be something that's completely relied on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining editing time for long-form articles, and identifying spelling, grammar, and sentence structure edits within Google docs. The extension works well in highlighting inline errors in the text to make it easy to action edits.
Get everyone on the same page with ease!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to upload our own terms and guidelines has been amazing. By far, it's the most valuable part of grammarly for my team. We didn't have anything prior to keep everyone on the same page for niche grammar and style rules- this it led to lots of inconsistencies in our writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We utlize gslides and powerpoint quite a bit. The fact that we can't use grammarly in those applications is a pain point for us. I would also like to see more consistent performance in "text box" content across other web based applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of contributors and subject matter experts contribute content to our teams efforts. Grammarly has helped us achieve more consistent application of corporate brand standards and a more consistent voice across a multitude of contributors.
