What do you like best about the product?
Its a single suit of application which help to protect my on the multi cloud environment
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is good about the product. Nothing I feel to dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It ensure data protection against many online attack like ransomware. And provide benefits by reducing cost of data security over the cloud

Best part is proactive customer support with easy to integrate with your system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot think of any downside, maybe the clutter free desion may get better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We handle critical customer data and Veritas is our primary platform to backup and Recover the data in case of any attacks and it is quite reliable till now.

What do you like best about the product?
I think I was able to add security and RLS for necessary security and access packages for all types of scenarios without any need of customizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think you first need to have some domain understanding to start using and applying it but i would say that is not a big cons if the documentation is well done and easy to understand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A focussed soln. for database storage bundled with security and other features is a very good part and it's integration with so many platforms is a cherry on top. It helps me to think and implement beyond without caring about data and security challanges. Moreover it is easy to learn and implement which provides a good velocity to my team. Looking forward to more nice features in upcoming releases.......

Nothing but I found it difficult to use it.

It provides automated backup as a service. It helps us to spin up DR instance immediately during maintanence or catastrophe on the actual server side

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it supports all major cloud platforms and the ease with which it comes with to scale performance and migrate data securely to and between these cloud platforms. Its a go to solution to secure any of our saas application data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be made more faster with minimum system requirements. Otherwise it meets our demands nicely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped securing our application states across various zones and helped us recover incase of failure and rebooting. As the nature of data is sensitive it really helped with getting it securely managed.

Veritas NetBackup .... Alta Data Protection is wonder

Alta Data Protection conserved the original product philosophy (NetBackup), and the WEB Console is now usable

The documentation is too light for a lot of features.
The product is too complexe to deploy on multiple conditions, not enough automated compare the concurency (ex : VEEAM on Azure is really easy to deploy).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netbackup support a lot of workloads type, and the legacy workload work fine, it's not same for the recent workload (ex : PostgreSQL).
The deduplication technology is always one of best of class solution, but it's really complicated to have a real expert explanation when when we have a Technical problem (ex: MSDC-C comportment during the VMware FLR restore process)

What do you like best about the product?
We have chosen the verotas alta data protection because of its comprehensive data backup and recovery facilities, backup security, fast recovery.
It's an easy task to deploy the solution in my Ifra.
We can integrated with any cloud vendors and keep our data offsite too.
We can restore the data any day at any time that to be the single file restoration can be possible with single click this is the best feature which I loved the most.
It's has centralised GUI for across DC.
We can easily integrate it and any one who has basic idea of Backup technology can operated the console properly.

Their is nothing much to dislike the product because of its various feature but the licensing can be the pain point for it to add the different or additional storage.

As I told you previously the best part of it that we can restore any backed up data any time and we can restore the single file, email and database on one click which can lead us to maintain the RTO.
With this we are protecting the SaaS workload and protect our entire O365 workloads which is very necessary now a day.

The ease with which email restores are done compared to the previous product

The connectors sometimes go offline and need to be restarted
