Great app that the whole company can use
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of the app, and also the user friendly aspect. It is great to allow the staff to feel that they can have control over their purchases and not feel micromanaged.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notifications can be a lot, however you can mute them if needed. There can also be a delay in the cards getting delivered, but this might just be a bad occasion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it easier rather than completin paper expenses, they have their own responsibility to manage them themselves.

Close and quick visibility of expenditure. Can set spend limits to maintain control. Easy link with Xero

Can't top up from the app - need laptop.

Easier expense reconciling for Xero!
What do you like best about the product?
I started using Pleo as I was spending a lot of time pulling info, invoices and docs together when reconciling expenses from so many different suppliers. I mostly use Pleo's app to make one-off or smaller purchases, and can attach an invoice from my emails directly to a transaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some small but noticable bugs with the app, and the user interface could use some improvement to make it a smoother experience for users, but overall it's functional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great time-saving tool when reconciling payments, as invoices and documents can be attached directly to the transaction and uploaded to the accounting system when pushed through.

What do you like best about the product?
As an ops team you don't expect positive feedback on your expenses system so it's a testament to quite how slick it is that people have sought us out to say how great Pleo is.
It's way less admin work for us than our previous system. Headaches around payruns, reimbursing personal payments, etc. are all eliminated.

£5 fee for replacing a card if lost (though we just encourage use of virtual cards instead)

Such an easy and convenient way to run expenses
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up, distribute and keep track of. Easy reconciling for the accounts and to fix user issues such as lost cards and forgotten passwords.

I'd find it hard to find something to write in here, so far we have had no reasons to dislike pleo
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having pleo has made it easier for al employees to have an expense card whereas previously we used 1 card which posed its issues. Its cut down on lost receipts and has made reconcilation easier with me being able to choose to only export expenses with receipts.
Great to give employees spending power.

It made it really easy for our employee to spend, without needing an expense process, the app was easy too.

It was quite an expensice monthly cost for the service.

It takes away the admin headache of agreeing expenses, and gave our employees controlled freedom to spend appropriately.
Everything about it is just.. easy.

It's just no hassle. The reminders to upload receipts, replacing lost cards, its integrations. We got it for a 1 stop shop to handle employee expenses and didn't want a complicated/heavy product to do it so it ticked all the boxes.

I honestly can't think of anything that I would put here. It filled the needs we had.

It allowed us to distribute employee expense cards, manage the balance on them and track all the receipts and accounting really easily. We just wanted an easy to use system that allowed all this and it easily ticked those boxes.
Just what every small business needs! Exactly what I need it to be.
What do you like best about the product?
I don't have employees, just a small group of volunteers that represent the association, so it's difficult to justify spending annual fees just to let them make purchases when they're helping. However, it's not great expecting them to fund things themselves then claim it back, and can lead to awkward conversations. Pleo's 3 free cards solve this problem completely! They can help out, safe in the knowledge that if they have to spend, it will be with official funds, and all they need to do is scan the receipt.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't need a card myself as the organiser, yet I couldn't see an option to not get one, which means that's one of the free cards gone straight away, leaving two for other people. Or asking someone else to use a card with my name on, which isn't ideal.
More of a concern, is that if/when I get to the stage where I need more than three cards it's going to be difficult as it goes from free to a fairly hefty (obviously that's a relative term, my association is tiny) fee. But I can't find anything else to fault with it so far.

Allowing volunteers representing my association to make purchases without having to worry about claiming it back, or even being able to afford it personally in between makes things infinitely easier! It takes all the hassle out of purchases they need to make.
Ideal expense Management
What do you like best about the product?
It's all automatically in sync with Xero which as a start-up business makes life so much easier for our accountant and leaves us time to run the business

My only grip is not being able to change the pin to something memorable to me for the plastic card

It makes sure we're capturing receipts so that we can claim our vat back but also provides some really useful spending insights which are collated automatically for us.
