Easy way to track changes across multiple customers
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud inspectors are easy to configure through existing partner relationships. The built in alerts and metrics cover most of what we want to report on and track.
What do you dislike about the product?
Writing custom metrics can take some getting used to if you are not familiar with jmespath.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Liongard gives us a change management log that we can store and refer to. This is useful if we need to find out when something happened or when a change was made. It also gives us alerts on different conditions across multiple tech products to help us monitor and maintain security settings.
I never realized how much time I would save until I started using Liongard
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Liongard this past June. I had heard of it prior but never used it. The goal with using Liongard was to speed up discovery of network and system attributes as well as get insight into security lapses that were lurking under the surface of the environments to which it would be deployed. BOY did it deliver.
The learning curve isn't horrible, but it will take some weeks to fully understand the capabilities. I hightly recommend going through the Liongard training series and getting certified. It helps a lot in getting up to speed on what all it can do.
I'm currently deploying it mostly on servers, cloud services and network devices. It would be very useful to also go full out and put it on PCs, but for now the nerve central areas of our customer environments are where we are focusing collection of info from Liongard.
The setup we have currently feeds all the data collected into ITGlue so our team has updated documentation. And wow, did the details of things like servers, Active Directory, firewall configurations, etc, get a HUGE boost in visibility. We now have much higher visibility for junior members of our tech staff into the settings and configurations they would have not been able to see without accessing these devices directly. Huge time saver and we don't need to give access to admin interfaces of all this stuff to lower level staff.
Another thing I want to mention in closing is the phenomenal support I have gotten from Liongard support engineers. I have yet to have one bad experience. They are well informed, thorough AND available.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you've got an older Windows server network you are looking to get insights into, you'll be out of luck. Liongard requires Windows 2012R2 or newer. I know, we're all supposed to have replaced these old servers by now, but they do linger and in those cases Liongard can't be used.
Another down side is the limited number of firewall brands which the Liongard agents can communicate with. So far I've used it with Sophos, Fortigate, and Sonicwall. I believe it also works with Cisco and Juniper.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business case is getting deep insights into our environments and finding problems before they are exploited or turn into issues. Finding stale users, stale PCs in Active Directory, documenting way more info about all these devices into ITGlue and making all this easily accessible to our staff are the highlights of how Liongard is benefitting our organization. We're also using it as a info collecting mechanism when onboarding new clients. This gives us a huge boost in reducing the onboarding timeline vs collecting the information manually.
Liongard Enables Success
What do you like best about the product?
Liongard is most helpful for creating a Data Lake for MSPs across all of the managed platforms. This enables quick response to client inquires, viewing information about the different environments, and providing critical security controls (change detection, configuration drift, etc). Because of this, it really helps to set our clients up for success and empowers the MSP to streamline reporting and next steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Google Workspaces connectors are probably the biggest pain points I've had with Liongard so far; its not that it's difficult, it is just time consuming if you aren't using a parent-child relationship. The only other dislike is the lack of Jamf support and a macOS Endpoint Agent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Liongard is allowing us to gain a very important overview of our clients' environments. This is empowering business decisions, and a revitalizing manual reporting processes based on inspector types. The power of the data is helping drive new automations within our organization.
Fantastic cloud based tool for monitoring and pulling data from literally anything, invaluable!
What do you like best about the product?
How incredibly easy it is to extract data from pretty much any source, it's brilliantly easy. The data source list is ever growing and if you have a piece of tech/implementation that you need to monitor it's likely already compatible, if it isn't it will be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the web UI glitches when you're doing a bit too much or have too many filters on. I think it's likely a browser overload and not necessarily a glitch of Liongard but its stil a little annoing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to monitor SSL certificate renewals and AD/365 configurations, Firewall configurations changes and then analyse the data with workflows so that we're on top of any issues before they can be a real issue. Liongard really helps bridge that gap and also allows us to have an audit trail so there's no way for any liabilty or we can trace back to what may have happened.
The application is great
What do you like best about the product?
Captures system configuration documentation across cloud services, network devices, and on-premise systems, apps and services you manage for customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Liongard has 2 pricing editions, from $33 to $39
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I dont believe there is a noticeable problem that Liongard is solving but the ease of use for the application makes for an decrease in time spent on other applications
Liongard notifications and and processes
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Liongard is the amount of information, data and metrics it can provide an MSP about their customers. It helps keep monitoring the health of their systems so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there is nothing that I currently dislike about Liongard; the only thing I could think of is JSON coding that is used, I am more familiar with SQL, but JSON is not that difficult to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us keep a better eye on our customers with Liongard notifications and alerting. Liongard has definitely helped us become more productive and proactive in that sense.
New to the program but learning alot thru Liongard academy
What do you like best about the product?
The training program is easy to understand and the on-demand pacing makes it easy for anyone to pick up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Havent used it enough to run into any downsides as of yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy gathering of data fo managed systems
Automated Client Documentation/Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to automatically document our client networks has been invaluable. Not only does it give our techs confidence that what they are reading is completely up to date, but enables other departments to utilise the data to better serve our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Liongard doesn't yet cover all of the products we need, but it does cover the majority of them. Initial development of inspectors was very quick but this has slowed down a bit, it'd be great to see new inspectors coming through.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an MSP it is not uncommon that documentation can quickly become out of date. Enabling Liongard to take on the automation of that documentation and then having the confidence that it is always up to date has been invaluable. We also use Liongard for presales engagements, billing, current state assessments and service reviews, all of which are much quicker than they would have been traditionally.
Turns IT Glue into a library, great customer support
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to quickly look up systems requiring support, quickly isolating what when wrong and how to fix
Extremely good customer support. Have helped build custom metrics for reports and alerts.
Drastically cuts down on onboarding and ticket resolution time
Change documentation helps quickly ID what went wrong
Periodic reports give customers great insight into what service you're providing and where to make next upgrades/lifecycle management

What do you dislike about the product?
Charging extra for more endpoint inspectors on top of per client cost
Some inspectors/agents can be troublesome/time consuming to configure and keep running, especially older systems
Lack of integration with Threatlocker/Whitelisting software
Could definitely be better at providing better install scripts for major RMM tools like Ninja

It is a unified MSPs with great advantages.
What do you like best about the product?
I can say that it has a large proportion of tools and advantages that unify the work and make security decisions according to the same report across various departments.
We can use the program to diagnose networks and programs in all departments of the company, everything that has to do with web security, we can even apply orders after the collected data to formulate graphs that are easy to understand with other programs.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is very necessary to be able to open tickets to generate the implementation, this is somewhat slow and unpleasant when starting work with the program, it is a limited and distrustful program in this sense where it does not allow the client to generate full control of the installation, it is necessary have engineers for the implementation and on the other hand I can say that it is not very intuitive and you have to have time to become familiar with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automatic generation of documentation through the data provided by the program, business intelligence, which is what we most definitely concentrate on its use for.
workload is one of our main areas when making decisions, balancing workloads is essential to meet established goals and the program makes this easier to do since we can resolve gaps on time and focus on productivity as always.
