Fast simulation tool for product development
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale is an easy tool for simulation in product development. I often use it for CFD and FEM simulation in business.
The support of the team is extraordanary. Fast, competent and always available when needed.
Models for the simulation can be easy exported out of the CAD tool we are using. Modifications of the model can be done in Simscale directly and the modified model can be downloaded as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
I like the product. Nothing to complain about.

Mostly used for static probems to find a suitable solution.

What do you dislike about the product?
Right now there is nothing I dislike. A year ago it would have been easier to give a feedback: there was no online user administration. Today we have it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly CFD. Recently more and more AM designs.
SimScale allowed me to quickly and efficiently complete simulations in the cloud.
What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate SimScale's ability to dramatically reduce simulation turnaround times. Its automated meshing capabilities streamline the setup process, while the intuitive interface makes it easy to quickly define and run simulations. Additionally, the availability of easy-to-access technical support ensures timely assistance and problem resolution.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggled with complex geometries in SimScale, leading to longer meshing times and uncertainties regarding completion. Additionally, the absence of real-time convergence graph visualization during simulations limits the ability to monitor progress and make informed adjustments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SimScale is proving to be a valuable tool for our thermal management and structural simulation needs. The solar calculation and multiphase flow simulation tools have been instrumental in our thermal analysis, while the CHT tools have further enhanced our capabilities.
Great ability to visualize complex scenarios and perform FEA for heat transfer.
What do you like best about the product?
Intuituve user interface. Easily accessible since it is entirely web based (no need to connect to HPC). Very cost and time effecitve through leverageing of cloud computing. Quality of life features like geometry modification within simscale. Overall simscale is relativley easy to learn, with a higher ceiling to master. It is also important to note the great visual gradients and reliable point data all within simscale (no need for paraview).
What do you dislike about the product?
Meshing seems to be my main complaint, as I have had numerous simulations fail due to issues with mesh sizing and quality. Being able to customize the mesh with sliders from 0-10 (fineness) is nice and works most of the time, but if it does not work it is difficult to fix the mesh. I have also had difficulties with modleing multiphase fluids. These difficulties are mainly due to the complex nature of these types of problems, and I believe simscale is fully capable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale allows for easy acessibility (low cost and web based), which has helped my University fund accounts with ample CPU hours for all mechanical engineering students. Simscale also streamlines the simulation process (geometry, meshing, BCs, result control and solution viewing), allowing for all simulation steps to be conducted in one place. I have experience simulating on HPCs and being web based alone makes the whole process much more accessible for new users. New users can focus on learning Simscale instead of learning how to use HPC clusters, and numerous software for meshing, simulating, and viewing results. I also understand that simscale is working on improving the meshing feature, which was my main complaint adressed earlier.

User friendly interface and workflow. Easy to pick up and run. You can use it frequently.

What do you dislike about the product?
Unit scale: the system seems designed for larger part. My projects are usually small components. Need smaller scale for display better.

The best cloud base environment and easy setting of simulation

A little bit short of settings may become difficult in complex problems.

Check the integrity of a mooring equipment during handling offshore
Great tool for web based interface and simulation experience
What do you like best about the product?
The web interface is really nice. It is smooth and even for complex geometry it is Easy to run simulations. Since this is web based, The feature to collaborate is also something that is very powerful if you are working in groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
More customised feature are needed but that is definitely something that can be added with time.

I was trying to solve the thermal as well as structural simulation of a 3D cad model.

It's great the fact that you can not run locally in your laptop so you don't depend on your own machine capabilities
