Intuitive, cloud-based, well balanced simulation package
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to run multiple simulations without using my laptops computing power is very valuable. The UI is really user-friendly and there are great training resources available online. Having the ability to talk to SimScale's engineers from within a simulation and have them provide feedback live is also a really fantastic feature!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like some more documentation on advanced transient simulation setups, but otherwise I'm very satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to quantify the difference that modifying a design has on its performance very time-efficiently.
Very powerful CFD tool
What do you like best about the product?
SimScale allowed use to model a very large building and understand the entire airflow throughoutthe building, including simulating the storaging racking systems. While we did use over 22,000 core hours, we were able to gain vaulable knowledge about howthe building would perform in natural and mechaincal ventilation modes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being in the southern hemisphere, and having support based in the northern hemisphere means there is quiute a lag when we have issues in our simulaitons that we cannot understand. Direct support in the southern hemisphere would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SimScale is used to build airflow simulations to understand air diffusion patterns for the application of HVAC&R in the construction industry.
SimScale is great!
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and setup process is so much better than Ansys Fluent. I and set up and run multiple CGD simulations in less time than just setup would take in other packages. I love the post processing and the way I can add particle tracks to a steady state simulation. The customer support is so fast and easy as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the mouse mapping in the 3d envirment and wish there was support for 3dconnexion space mouse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SimScale give me the ability to quickly visualize changes I make to products that are currently in development.
Easy to use, very economical while still being a capable/efficient tool
What do you like best about the product?
Great support from Simscale team in terms of sim-support, account management, personalized tutorials, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can have a few kinks here and there and sometimes hard to learn on your own without requesting support/tutorial help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale resolves the issue of having available and cost-effective internal resources. This tool can be used at any time and run concurrently without tying up valuable local computer resources.
Convenient, intuitive, and always making improvements.
What do you like best about the product?
It is great to be able to rely on SimScales servers rather than our local computers. This frees up our computuing power and allows us to get work done more efficiently. SimScale is constantly working on improvements to the software and we have been able to implement many of those changes in our everyday workflow. Whenever we have issues, a representative is available over email or in the chat to get us the support we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
For our work, there are some specific post processing features that would make life a bit easier (i.e. generate chart along a line in plane cut), but those are specific to us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have to validate flow distributions and head loss for our intake screens. This keeps us in spec and allows us to be competitive on bids without relying on expensive physical models.
The best CFD sofware I tried
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud computing, very powerfull for CFD analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
Some plugins does not work well and it should include more recent design methods as generative design
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CFD analysis of complex structures and teach students how to use it
User friendly simulation platform
What do you like best about the product?
Great support, can be used for a wide range of simulations, easily accessible from different computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some bugs and occational updates can result in features and simulations that were previously working no longer work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing needs to be installed on a specific computer, so a simple laptop can be used for heavy simulations. Easy to use even for unexperienced engineers.
Good for Simple Projects
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly. Support is fast and great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some complicated things are difficult to implement. For example vacuum modeling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thermal analysis of our Equipment. It gives pretty accurate results compared to analytical analysis.
SimScale - beyond expectations!
What do you like best about the product?
It has a solid background in both - physics and engineering wise!
It keeps on evolving, with very cooperative development and support teams.
Easy to use GUI in pre and post.

What do you dislike about the product?
The truth - can't find any!
Another truth - why should I be worried about it? .....
Another truth - why should I be worried about it? .....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing the flow (air, liquid etc.) about any type of structure.
User of SimScale for 7+ for various industrial problems
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive and easy to use with an acceptable learning curve, affordable CFD tool that gives trustable results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs more development on the physical models available, but they are currently working on it. The documentation could expand more on the theory side of things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I deal with fluid mechanics and mixing problems and use SimScale to understand these processes. It helps me be more productive in my duties because I can simulate multiple scenarios simultaneously, allowing me to compare results and optimize my design.
