Some important tools, such as the multidirectional wind analysis, are not available in the trial period.

Easy, simple visuals and analysis
What do you like best about the product?
variety of fluids- water, air, gases, no memorization!
What do you dislike about the product?
maybe add chemical simulations; ie heat/pressure?

thermo-analysis, fan-cooling problems, designing solar boxes, air travel/pollution, water- filtering

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that SimScale is based online. This means I don't need a powerful computer and I can access all of my simulations from any computer with internet.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a small learning curve to get over to get used to the platform. Takes a while to understand and isn't intuitive at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an engineering student, I use SimScale for my engineering projects. This allows me to save money when creating projects as I can prototype digitally first.
Simscale as a CFD tool
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale is easily accessible for any level of engineering knowledge. The fact that it is an online software allows you to launch it from aby device and run complex analysis in minutes
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Sismacle guides may be confusing or misleading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simscale launches complex CFD analyses, useful for the analysis of aerodynamics.

What do you like best about the product?
I had a engineering background and a bit of knowledge in numerical methods and finite element analysis. However, I am no expert so I really appreciate the numerous and detailed tutorials that Simscale offers.
I use Simscale from time to time, but the intuitive interface makes it easy for guiding me step by step.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the free version to be extraordinary restrictive. I believe Simscale should offer restricted free Simulations, but on a monthly basis. That way a stronger free user community could be created, with benefits for everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly structural design that needs optimization for both volume and weight reduction.
It's a simple an even complex tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use this tool in my university and i even if i don't go in my class, i can do the tasks. We load our constructions from Onshape and this is very easy!

Sometimes you can't find some settings, but you can always look in the faq.

We do simple tasks and with the post process results i can understand them easily.

Upsides are an affordable pricing with reliable results for the sporadic or occasional user.

I think continued improvement in the graphics interface would be good. Some of the mas selection filters are very good once learned. The post processing could be improved.

Lower the time to production in development by limiting the number of prototypes needed for testing

What do you like best about the product?
The cloud simulation is outstanding and revolutionary, I have people in my team with low end technology, switching to SimScale allowed us to involve everyone in the projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be too basic at times, I understand it's not a cad software but a bit more features there would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clouding computing has solved so many problems, I can use it overnight with my main machine is off, and I don't need a beefy computer to run simulations.
Excellent simulation program
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale offers an educational and simple interface that allows for the successful execution of simulations. What has been most useful to me are the fluid dynamics analysis simulations, in which you can see the behavior of fluid velocity, drag forces, temperature profiles, and more. Really, highly recommended.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface for designing parts is not very good. However, you can import Solidworks files, which has never given me any problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a university student and I use Simscale for work related to heat transfer and fluid dynamics. Lately, it has helped me to evaluate the hydrodynamics of a car's body, assessing the wind drag force.
