Very versatile CFD software for architects
What do you like best about the product?
Simscale is a very powerful CFD software for architects. They have built in feature allow us to study pedestrian wind comfort and thermal comfort to help effectively inform the design.
In addition, simscale is pretty forgiving in term of accepting different types of geometries.
You can also expand the capability through their API and SDK package.
In addition, Simscale team is very helpful in and very responsive in communication to help troubleshoot and answering questions about their platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
Graphic and view control is something that Simscale could improve.
It's quite cumbersome to navigate and control view inside Simscale webapp, especially when you want to align view from different simulations.
In addition, there are now limited color options for color legend. It would be more useful to have an option to build your own color scheme.

Most Innovative Product Design Tool
What do you like best about the product?
SimSclae is fast and the most userfriendly simulation software, the GUI is really simple and easy to be self-implemmented even , while it took a week to get the same result with a concurrent tool. They absolutely have the best customer support, completely dedicated, super-fast and efficient among all simulation softwares. It is very well integrated with most part of CAD file formats. Post processing is really great for industrial/large simulation cases, giving the possibility to make design decisions anywhere, anytime with no special hardware requirements. I have been using SimScale in my product development routine (weekly) and it has been a game changer in design decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meshing models can be improved for FEA applications (mainly hex-dominant). And for now it is not possible to amplify the usage for other applications (explicit dynamics, fatigue analysis, and DEM), but for sure it is already in the roadmap of development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SimScale helps me in the daily routine of product design for mining industrial equipment, evaluating main frequencies and avoiding ressonance through modal and harmonic feature, structural evaluation in tradeoff studies, and risk mitigation in the product development cycle.
Best UI in a range of CFD simulators
What do you like best about the product?
User interface is very good with easier learning curve. Detailed documentation available.
What do you dislike about the product?
result viewing could be made better, as it takes some time for loading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly CFD analysis and air flow analysis.

It is userfriendly with models that can speed up the simulations

I would like to have stronger visualization at the end of simulations for defining lines at different part of simulation for extracting the data!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For checking different ideas at concept developing is fast with acceptable accuracy!
Very helpful tool to rapidly set up a Simulation
What do you like best about the product?
Using Simscale has to basic advantages: easy to import CAD and create a valid computational model in very short time. Runtime is handled transparently without much worries about computational resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
In general the issues are not from SimScale platfom, but for the lack of modeling capabilities from OpenFoam, or maybe certain options have not yet been completely integrated. For instance it would be helpful to turn on an off certain features (MRF, Heat Source) using temperature sensors point in the field. This feature is quite important in Heat Transfer analysis. Also Transient flows are extremely slow.

I am using Simscale for 2 years.
What do you like best about the product?
I like very much presentation side of the results. There are many features that one can use and view the simulation. Most important is that giving me confidance with explanation how the air is flowing in curtain conditions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Luck of dimensioning results and there are small bags with particle trace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working in comercial ventilation systems. Thats why we often simulate non standard solution with ventilaton of eg. sport hols, concert rooms and checking velocity and temperature distribution.
Powerful and convenient to use
What do you like best about the product?
The computational power happening in the cloud doesn't slow my computer down, and also allows me to perform multiple simulations simultaneously. The software is fairly intuitive and overall i would say is very easy to use. Customer support is extremely helpful and quick to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connection features in static simulation are a bit limited. Also it doesn't give reaction forces at your points of connection or constraints. Geometry recognition could work a bit better but overall i would say is still good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use simscale for stress analysis of large structures, specifically heavy haul trailer frames. The software benefits us immensely in terms of time saved as it operates on the cloud and therefore doesn't take up all the processing power on our PC. Also the increased processing power allows us to run larger studies at higher precision than we previously were which has saved us time in setting up our studies and has increassed our confidence in the accuracy of the results.

What i like the best is the user friendly interface, the documentation and the costumer support
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no "team package", so you have to pay per person in the company a very expensive plan. This restrict the sharing of knowledge within the company and give the opportunity to more colleague to be involved with CFD simulations.

Mostly pedestrian wind comfort analysis, but also other building aerodynamics simulations

Cloud based support is very convienient and allows a team to work on projects simultaneously.

Nothing in particular. All things so far are satisfactory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complexity with other simulation softwares was not allowing us to take it to our members. SimScale's ease of use allows our members to learn to use it in no time.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use, it allows you to make a combination between forces, axes to fix, supports, and it allows you to simulate many characteristics that a piece has in real life. Additionally, you can do your simulation online, you don't need to install anything, and when the program finishes its simulation, it will send you a notification, which makes it very useful and valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered any problems, the interface is very easy to use and you can link your OnShape accounts to upload your drawings.
