There were considerable steps required to set up model for simulations

  • July 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was free. I did not have to pay for an expensive software to run a simple analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it took to configure the model to give me the correct flow analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An airflow simulation and where the pressure points were on my model.

Simplest yet highly powerful CAE software i have ever used

  • July 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Extremely easy to use and not intimidating (like other FEA or CFD software)
- Cloud based allowing for simultaneous simulation
- CAD edition feature (extremely useful)
- Data extraction and simulation visualisation directly in software
- Quick and useful support

I use it nearly every day now.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Lack of high level in-depth mesh parameters , but honestly it's not so useful 99% of the time, Simscale does a great job with automatic settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid prototyping test that requires no investment. It allows me to quickly review the iteration of a part and measure the improvement in performance that I obtain.

What do you like best about the product?
Pairs great with onshape, an online CAD software to run my designs in CFD.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not yet familiar with all of the settings and controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Comparing the hydrodynamics of two stealth submarines for work.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is simple and making setting up simulations a quick process. The results are clearly displayed making them easy to analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a shame that it is not available to purchase on monthly or CPU hourly basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thermal studies relating to passive cooling of electronic devices.

Streamlined, amazing, and great support team.

What do you like best about the product?
The excellent models that it offers, as well as the cloud-based computing features -- FEA and CFD of high fidelity is now accessible, without having to purchase expensive hardware and licenses to run it yourself. The ability to access the post-processed data is amazing as well. I would love to have a feature where we can set planar boundary conditions inside a flow domain, though!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all, really. The supoprt team is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flame and high temperature flow analysis and mitigation.

    Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

Cloud servise without installation.

  • July 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was very useful to use without any PC installation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is defficient to manage the various simulation environments such as two phase flow, flame, any kinds of multiphtsics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CFD, heat transfer system

Complex CFD Simulations on Any PC

  • July 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A very easy-to-use graphical interface, readily available user support, and, most importantly to me, access to cloud computing. Cloud access allows me to run CFD simulations that would be impossible to execute on a personal computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
After roughly 10 completed runs of complex mixed external/internal CFD simulations, I haven't encountered any dislikes yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My current project involves improving airplane engine cooling flow. CFD simulations enable me to test many different modifications and configurations in a short time and without any significant cost involved.

What do you like best about the product?
intuitive, easy, completely online: there is no need to have a high-performance computer
What do you dislike about the product?
low computing power in the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used simscale to study air CO2 and comfort inside classrooms

Pretty good Online FEA Software

  • July 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is fully online and your calculations are not core limited due to your hardware performance. Excellent training and support.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an early-stage product and requires more options to modify.
Can not change dimensions (meter to mm) in most of the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am simulating Mechanical Impacts for later protect development. Based on the result I will design protectors to our robots.
